I do love their products, so I'm giving them a pass on this one. I guess.

Effect/Affect and, for some reason ceases/seizes seems to show up a lot on my news feed as well. I have one particular friend who always writes that things in her life "never seizes to..." I'm always thinking well, I'm glad that doesn't give you seizures...

Oh, YAY! I can't wait to see how it works for you. IMO I think you should just take the 150 for about a week to make sure it does not give you a headache or anything. I remember some people reporting headaches in the beginning. Can't remember who? Maybe Dawn?

Funny that you posted this - I just got mine too!
And impulsively, I popped 2 of them in my mouth right away - thinking a jump-start might be a good thing
Today is a DD for me too.

I too had headaches in the beginning even with the 50 mg ptero. And I have been having headaches all week BUT the weather has been changing daily so pressure changes affect me with a migraine. And I had been bad about taking the ptero everyday so maybe I have the headaches at the beginning until I get used to it again.
I like my ptero so much I decided to order some of the other supplements that DH and I take since you can't beat the price. Then I booked a craft show all on the same CC. Got a call from the CC company about suspect charges on my card. Guess buying vitamins and craft shows don't make any sense to the computer.

Well, good news!!! I took 1 when i first got them. Got some great energy!!
That was about 1030a i guess. Didnt get hungry until about 1230p finally so i drank about half of my protein shake and was fine. I went to lunch at 2pm, drank hot chocolate, no real hunger. I took 1 more ptero right before i went to lunch about 2 or a little after. No hunger at all really. I keep thinking about food like i should want to eat but then i think, no im not really hungry.
So wow!!! I love it so far. great energy and no hunger.
If i do get any hungers ill drink the other half of my shake. I would love to just do liquids today. Maybe some nice warm soup for dinner.

So far so good!! And no headache for me at all. I will keep doing 2 per day like this and see how it goes. I may just do 1 on UD's on 2 on DD's. I was thinking i might order some resveratol (sp) to go with it? What do you guys think? i know some of you take it with it. Do you really think it makes a difference? That stuff is expensive!!!

I also ordered resveratrol to go along with the ptero so I shall see how that works when I get it along with the ptero. Covering all bases.

That's pretty funny. We all know people who do craft shows are notoriously unhealthy, and would NEVER buy vitamins!

I just looked at the BOGO free site and their price for Resveratrol is what I pay for only one bottle with less pills at Costco.

The drawback here for me is the extra shipping charge. I'll order stuff when I'm on the mainland for a while later in the year.

i will say, my skin has been looking really really good lately. i don't remember exactly when i first noticed it. it is either from the IF or the supplements. or both, maybe! either way, there is a definite difference.

I didn't get headaches from Pterostilbene. I got them horribly from Resveratrol, though, and they're similar. All your wonderful experiences lately got me to dig back out my bottle of Jarrow Pterostilbene. I took 3 the other day (150 mg total), on a DD. I had horrible TMI issues, and spent the bulk of the day in the loo. I suspect I had a stomach bug, though, and it wasn't related, but I've been afraid to try again. I wasn't hungry though!

Update!
After my 300mg yesterday, I had no negative effects.
Now, like I said, I'm a big skeptic when it comes to supplements. I take fish oil, a probiotic and then for my restless legs, I take iron, magnesium and B12, because one of those 3 is helping immensely, I just don't know which one...

So after I took the big dose, I wasn't terribly hungry through the afternoon and evening.
I have company at my house this evening, so I had quite a bit of tidying up and cleaning to do.
Something came over me and I was plowing through the house like I haven't done in a long time! I got all my paperwork sorted and filed away, which has become a huge challenge for me in the past few years (time of life I've been told) because it is so HARD to focus... But at nearly 1:30 AM I had to make myself go to bed.

Today I tackled a room I've avoided for a long time, while getting other tasks done as I go.

Now, I could say I'm motivated because of the party tonight - could very well be.
I'll just have to see how it goes from here on.

I should have taken two doses this week although I had plenty of energy to declutter this week in preparation for getting our house appraised. Wore poor DH out and he went to bed last night at 8:45. Need to get him of ptero too. LOL Glad to know 300 mg didn't do you in. Which reminds me I need to go take mine and it is an UD.

Lose vs loose - also an irritant.

A former receptionist at our work used to keep writing that pets were "losing weight" on the intake forms.

UG!!!!

Oh, and still waiting for my pills to arrive.

I love the energy and the appetite suppression so far. I am taking 1 on DD just to still get the benefits from it. It did help my appetite. I think im just stick with the ptero for now. I already take so many supplements!!
I need to start a thread on what supplements everyone takes. I feel like I take so many!!

No, I believe that losing weight IS correct.

I think Yennie meant "l o o s i n g weight", which would be incorrect. (You know autocorrect can make it hard to purposely misspell things )

Can't type l o o s i n g (try it and save)

I Googled proper usage of the words, too and wondered what I was doing wrong!

Autocorrect on the iPad can be a real pain.....

Lousy spellers: Faulkner, F Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austen, Hemingway, Einstein, Agatha Christie, and Mordechai Richler (who insulted people by calling them good spellers ).

I suspect people who struggle with spelling are just wired a bit differently, and it's surprising how rarely we're thrown into genuine confusion by them.
I'm also grateful for the enthusiastic participation on these forums of such a wide variety of spellers. (I work with both a cinematographer and a film editor who are so spelling/reading challenged that they'd never hang out in places like these. They're sensitive about what they see as a kind of weakness, which is crazy, because they're both almost inconceivably creative and literate both visually and musically.)
This helps me to be less grumpy about the relentless evolution of language, our descent into a texting dark age (thanx, ur, lol, WTH), etc.
Just another thought to add to the your/you're/lose/loose chat.

Ok, yes, thanks Carly. I didn't even notice that it auto-corrected. Yes, I mean L o o s i n g weight. Not losing weight. Sorry guys!
Kristin, I'm a terrible speller. It was just downright awful before autocorrect and spell check. Having said that, sometimes technology messes me up when I don't mean it to. Like the above example!
LOL!!!

I, myself, am not a wonderful speller. I have no idea what I did before spell check. Well, yes, I know what I did. I looked up everything in the dictionary.
Still have one in my desk at work. That thing is like an ancient relic and was actually a gift when I graduated graduate school

Sometimes no amount of schooling can make one a great speller. I am fairly good with grammar, however.
