UD Tuesday - What's the plan, Stan?

so, it's 10:20am, and I'm not hungry

does that happen to you too, after a DD? Of course, thinking about it will get me hungry, but I've got back-to-back web sessions until about 1:30pm

B: maybe some tea, my throat is scratchy
L: I was thinking eggs and toast, or cereal (or both? unlikely)
S: leftover baked chive pesto salmon, just a couple ounces
D: I was thinking a rib steak, and getting DH to pick up a potato (still having the car situation...)

my plan with ALL of the above came to 1900+, so I still have room to work with. I won't EAT all of the above, so I'll have even more room.

B: Bagel thin with cream cheese
L: Turkey sandwich and hummus
D: I have no idea. I may order out because it's cold and I'm feeling lazy.

Yep Soren, I rarely wake up hungry. It's a wonderful thing!

B: Coffee/HWC
L: Chicken salad w/mayo and celery
D: Roasted herbed salmon, kale sautéed in garlic oil
D: Maybe some cheese

It looks like I'll total out at around 1900-2000 cals, 25 g net carbs, and at least 179 g protein. Who knew kale had so many carbs? But I do have a really nice sized serving, when I have it.

UD and we need groceries.
Will venture out although I not wanta.
Being a recluse agrees with me.
Hope to hold off until noon to eat or drink.
Lunch dried cranberry, black walnuts, apple
Dinner I've been thinking about biscuit And gravy
Soren it differs about my hungry level in am.
Mainly if I don't over eat on any day I'm alright in the am.
Right now with only coffee I'm feeling hollow in my stomach, but not actual hungry.
I will eat as soon as the true hunger hits
Family members having broken water pipes, and heaters not keeping up.
I feel rather guilty we have a warm house with running water---so far.
Wishing a good in control UD for us all!

Started with bulletproof coffee and then a fasted workout on my elliptical.

I'm having some wonderful soaked oatmeal for breakfast. It was soaked for 24 hrs in whey and water. It made it kinda tangy but it is supposed to help with the wheat intolerance or something. We will see. I have been wanting to eat oats again.
So I made 1/2 cup of the soaked oatmeal with 1T peanut butter and 1T powdered peanut butter, coconut milk, a little more greek yogurt, chia seeds, 1T of dried cranberries, 1T chopped pecans and 1T peanuts.
Totally yummo!!!
Lunch will be ribs, broccoli salad and a deviled egg
Dinner will be salad and a little protein.

Feeling pretty light today. Pants are a little looser. I love that. I almost weighed but I have chosen to not weigh this month so im making myself wait.

Woke up dizzy and weak this morning... Might be a migraine... A strange one because I don't have a lot of head pain...

I have had:
Homemade mocha ( Godiva hot chocolate mix and espresso)
Some Cheerios ... I bought them as a treat for my son, by it was the easiest thing to prepare while dizzy this morning

The whole family is going through some stomach bug... Maybe I am not as over it as I thought.

Had a really good DD yesterday but still woke up hungry...usually that is not the case.

It's absolutely freezing today....minus 8 degrees when I left the house this morning! Problem with cold days like this is I want to eat comfort food. Today's menu isn't exactly what I had in mind, but it's what I had in the fridg/freezer so it will have to do.

B: coffee w/h&h, sf banana nut bread
S: Zing cashew cranberry orange protein bar
L: tortilla-crusted tilapia, bell pepper rings, one square Ghirardelli Intense Dark Sea Salt Soiree (OMG it was soooo good!!)
D: italian sausage, white bean, & kale soup, will probably make some type of grilled cheese sammy to go with it
S: protein hot cocoa

Target calories - 1900

10:07 here in CA and so far I'm not hungry. That's been happening after every successful DD lately. I think it's a good thing.

Yesterday I was COLD all day and half the night. Despite the fact that the sun was shining brightly and I had DH build me a wood fire in the stove and the thermometer said it was 75 in here, I was freezing. I guess that's a good thing too!

Scale was down .4 this morning. I'll take it. Wanted/hoped it would be more. But it's all good.

Promised DH I would make lasagna for dinner tonight, so other than that I will eat whatever strikes my fancy whenever/ if ever? I get hungry today.

Mmmmmmmmm.....someone mentioned cappuccino. I think I'll go make some! That sounds great right now!

You know you could have a Large chili, or, um, baked potato or fries or something... just b/c you're there doesn't mean you HAVE to have your DD meal! LOL Love that you're a creature of habit (except when you're not).

did you move on from regular habanero to scorpion sauce? Someone needs to buy you some ghost pepper seeds so you can grow your own!

leftover roast beef (came to 12oz!) with some horseradish. Done with that leftover though!
and a leftover baked doughnut from Sunday (215 cal)
So, that's the adjustment to Lunch. Needless to say, I'm pretty full.

I took out rib steaks for dinner, and I think I can still fit it in my calories. Will update later.

Ordering anything else would require me to research calories. Ain't nobody got time for that!

I found some Dave's Insanity scorpion pepper sauce at Cost Plus/World Market on Sunday, and I've been wanting to try it. It was awesome! Sadly, I won't be growing my own. I kill anything with roots. If it has paws, I'm a wonderful caretaker.

My coffee this morning was not good. Not sure what went wrong but it went horribly wrong. So that was a bummer.
But did get to go to the gym and work out. I recently joined a gym, and thankfully its one of those where you can go to any of the locations, not just the one you joined. So dropped the monkey at preschool and went to work out.
Hit Starbucks for a drip with HWC after the gym, grocery store and then to get the monkey.
Lunch was Flagship crackers and some cheddar cheese curds.
Dinner will be ...??? No idea. Probably a salad and some protein because I want popcorn tonight. I love popcorn. I adore it. It is the reason I can't do low carb.
Three different people commented on my weight loss today. Probably because I was out and about in my workout clothes, and my new pants are super awesome, but still, it was nice!

WTG Jen! !!!

I'm with you on popcorn! I did LC for years and years, and no popcorn. it was so sad!

Im trying to work it into my life... I was experimenting with it on DDs, but I'd rather just not eat all day and have a great dinner than have mediocre snacks... But omg, on an UD? A real movie popcorn? the BEST

So, here's my dirty little popcorn secret. I use olive oil to pop it on the stove top. And I use more oil than maybe is strictly necessary. Not loads, but a little more than needed. The extra oil coats the popcorn ever so slightly and it is HEAVENLY!!! And I'm convincing myself its slightly better for me since olive oil is a healthy fat. And I load it with Himalayan salt and - TO. DIE. FOR!

Nice!! Compliments while in gym clothes are especially awesome.

I had a bag of popcorn this afternoon.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but I will say that I got awfully high in calories before I left work today. I had about 600 left for tonight. So far I've had 1 cup of coffee (45), a small serving of spaghetti sauce w/angel hair pasta (300)--I bought the dreaded extra-lean hamburger that is of questionable origins (hamburger with no grease?), and 2 glasses of wine (200). Oops, it's possible I may go over, but I will be *under* most of my UDs.

I may try that! I use an air popper when I'm not doing microwave, and I prefer the kernels in the air popper, even though it's harder to flavor after.

I've had salt and pepper chips, and I think salt AND fresh pepper on popcorn is great! I've also had hot sauce on popcorn-- it melts them a bit, but flavors overall and is delish (need some salt too).
Or use chili oil...
I feel a thread coming on...

I ate too much today. I was coming here to own in and you guys are here and b/c maybe I wouldn't own it, but I will.

I did as I said I would... until DH didn't bring home a baking potato, or even a baked potato... but 2 bags of oven fries, and pierogies and gnocchi.

I had the presence of mind to choose only 1 for dinner so I went with the sweet potato fries.
But I was miffed.

And then, I had a bunch of chocolate.

So, I think I'm at 3000 for the day, give or take some tiny tiny easter eggs. That's 700 over my high UD number.

I stuck exactly to plan today and ended up with 1934 calories, 28 g net carbs, and 184 g protein. Not too bad. I'm pleased I stuck with it because I really wanted a huge spoon of PB just a little while ago and had a couple ounces of cheddar instead. I'm having just a little trouble keeping carbs as low as I used to, but I still think I'm at a decent level.
