DD Saturday - making it happen on the first weekend

Hola folks!

I have to go out with friends tonight, to a steak place.
Luckily, the menu is online.

I should be able to have a green salad, and a 10oz prime rib or sirloin, veggies, and that's it. Not too bad.

B: coffee pu'erh tea with a splash of vanilla almond milk- closest thing to hot chocolate I've found
Getting my caffeine in early!

L: water? Gum, will see a movie before the dinner

D: as planned above. Should come to just under 600 cal.

Happy Saturday all!

B: Hot black tea
L: Coffee/HWC
D: ??? Chicken breast w/mayo? Tuna and cheddar cheese? Maybe some roasted broccoli and cauliflower?

Target: 500 cals and 20 or less carbs

I'm in a down mood on my DD. Want nothing more than to soothe myself with food but am determined not to let that happen and stay within calorie limit today!

B: coffee w/h&h, constant comment hot tea

L: protein shake made with 1/2 c almond milk, 1/2 c water, packet of Yoohoo strawberry (sf...sort of like the Crystal Light singles), 1/2 scoop unflavored whey protein, 1/2 tsp gluc and 1 frozen strawberry

D: mu shu chicken lettuce wraps (found recipe in Cooking Light magazine)

If needed - broth or veggie soup

Target: 500 cals

M.E. - it was new to me too, and I got a sample, liked it, ordered more. I get most of my tea from David's tea, not sure if other companies have something similar. Google it, should come up quick.

I read that pu'erh is a type of fermented tea, a technique or something... This flavor uses that as a base, and adds coffee beans, chocolate and caramel flavor, and almonds, I think. Yummo!

DD for me. DH wants to zip out to a movie in 45 minutes. I hate the idea of being tempted by his big tub of hot buttered popcorn.

I may have a hot cup of camomile tea with a teaspoon of coconut oil right before we leave. this is something that usually kills my appetite without making me too hyper. Maybe I'll cut up some veggies like celery and green pepper and carrots to give me something to crunch on.

Yesterday was a bit of an UUAAD which included late night ice cream. I gotta make this a good DD as the scale is stuck. It was not up this morning, but if I mess up today it will either go up tomorrow or stay the same and I want it to go DOWN!!!

Great DD

Went to see Jude Law in Henry V which was wonderful. Had a couple of diet cokes instead of the wine I would normally enjoy.

1 Americano with a splash of milk
2 diet cokes
2 beef sausages cooked in onions
Green beans

312

I survived the popcorn without eating one kernel! Whew! I chopped up green peppers and celery and took along one ounce of cold roast beef wrapped in foil. Bought a small diet coke and didn't finish it, but it kept me full. Great victory for me today!!!

Might have an egg for dinner or maybe just more raw veggies or veggie soup. Not sure. Gonna try to keep it low, low, low!

Kinda more of a medium day today.

2 eggs and half a piece of toast for breakfast
McDonalds grilled chicken salad for lunch with light Italian, about 250 calories
dinner was romaine with 1 boiled egg, half a T of cranberries, half T sunflower seeds, half T coconut shreds and walden farms dressing

That is a great idea! I love red, yellow, and orange bell peppers! I will have to try that next time I go to a movie.

I should have brought some today ... I blew my DD at a party for my son's friend. The food wasn't even good! I was just surrounded by it.

Someone was talking about that very thing on another thread. I mean, how we sometimes eat just because it's there or because people expect us to eat at celebrations, parties or family dinners, etc.

Don't say you blew it, though. Just say you made an adjustment. You were flexible. You either had a high DD or a MD. Then enjoy a controlled UD tomorrow and call it success!

Oh, I wanted to tell you a funny thing. When I started munching on my green peppers at the movie, Dh leaned over and said, "Oh! Those green peppers smell good! Can I have some? He was sitting there scarfing down hot popcorn with butter from a big tub and telling me my vegetables smelled good! Have to say, I didn't even smell the popcorn!

Yam-Yam, my daughter brought my favorite ice cream late last night, so we are partners in crime. Because of that I did not weigh this morning! After reading potato hack/lemon water blogs last night I started the day with lemon water. Didn't feel hungry until about 5 pm and that was after 11 mile walk! It was either the lemon water or left over carbs from the ice cream
442 for the day. So feel pretty good.

Good job Yam! I was at a movie, and had a cough drop and then mint gum... Got hungry, but was like, we're going for dinner , and it went away... Went all day till 10pm without food!
That's a first for me!

Dinner was as planned, though they ran out of prime rib but I had looked up the values on the 12oz sirloin, so I had a backup plan

And the veggies! I think there was a whole zucchini (4 quarter sticks) and red/yellow peppers, and a wee but of asparagus.

Their sit says I'm at 576 for the meal. but I put it in my tracker and it seems pretty right.
Total dd victory! Not the lowest calories, but shows with planning, you can go out and not "suffer" or eat weirdly.
It was all LC too

OMG...I'm making baked doughnuts for tomorrow !

Owning up to my bad behavior and admitting that it all went haywire after dinner last night. Was really hungry throughout most of the day, even after taking 150mg ptero and was in a depressed mood for most of the day. Once the floodgates opened In the evening hours I ate tortilla chips with cheese, mini bag of microwave popcorn, payday candy bar, baked custard, cup of broccoli rice casserole, and half box of milk duds. All this on top of the already 400 calories I had throughout the day.

Really struggling to get back to clean DDs!
