UD Friday - TGIF!

I hope those in the North East US/Canada still have power, and after you shovel you come say hi!

I'm trying to keep my 8hr eating window in mind... didn't have anything till noon.

L: leftover greek chicken and 1 roasted potato (about 455 I think)
D: I think I'm going to bake a cauliflower with cheese, and have some remaining Chinese roast pork (crisp skin).
maybe some chocolate

for now, I'm going to have some tea!

I wish I could eat exactly what you do Dawn! When I had bagels over the holiday, I did think about you

No Banh Mi around me though... so I'll just keep living through your menus!

Adi, you are not a weenie! I wish I had winter crops... instead, I have about a foot of snow covered in ice

but I did well with the jams this year, so now I know better what I can get from the garden (i.e. my red currants and crabapples) and not to pick the entirety of the neighbors quince tree, b/c it was just TOO MUCH! Wish I could get some raspberries to grow, but the soil is too much clay.

OMG, waaaaaayyyyy off topic! LOL

I wish I was a gardener. I've successfully grown tomatoes (which my dog liked to sneak in and eat right off the vine, little stinker) and I have a lemon tree that I'm evidently trying to kill, but still has a decent crop about to be ready to harvest. But everything else dies.

B: Nothing, too busy taking down Christmas stuff
L: Coffee/HWC, 3 oz cheddar cheese
D: 2 bowls chili with sour cream

This never happens to me, but I still need to find about 900 calories somewhere! Not having my gimlet(s) gives me back some calories, and no dessert after dinner too. Maybe I'll have more cheese, or extra sour cream on my chili? Ideas?

Target 1900-2000 calories: 50 or less carbs

I kill everything, so I just don't even try anymore.

I'd have more cheese. I saw you're watching carbs for a bit. Do you have nuts? Or peanut butter? I got some lovely avocados at Sprouts the other day--3/$1! I couldn't believe it!

You're an accomplished maker of food, though, so you could make your own and put mine to shame.

Lucky you! We pay about $2.00 for one! The price of living here...we don't have huge heating or cooling bills so one thing off sets the other. Our electric rates are much higher than CA, though. At least the avocados we get from Costco are good.

I enjoyed a good UD, but had a great eating gap, where I had almost forgotten that this was an UD.

I had a piece of cold meat straight from the fridge as I left for the gym, a Cappuccino after my class then nothing until 8pm.

I cooked a great ribeye with some cauliflower and broccoli. Enjoyed 1/2 a bottle of a gorgeous Valoplicello then found I needed another 350/400 cals. Happily I had the last piece of chocolate chip Panettone left over, waiting in the pantry. Not any more I don't.

ADD: Snack: Snickers bar (250)
Dinner: Texas Roadhouse, 6 oz sirloin, baked sweet potato, green beans. I have more calories, and "may" partake in one of their dinner rolls, but probably won't. I may have some of their peanuts~that's more likely.

Still room for a nice big rum/Coke Zero when I get home. Happy Friday all!

Protein shake for breakfast made with coconut milk, an apple, protein powder, 2T oats, 1T gelatin, maca and cinnamon. This was so dang good!!
Lunch was hot wings from wing stop.
dinner was what I was going to have for lunch. Leftover roast, leftover green bean casserole and leftover cauliflower casserole. Had a bite of cheesecake and may have some yogurt soon.
maybe a glass of wine so I can drink the end of it and then 2 full weeks, no alcohol!!!

LOL!
The thing is, they're a multi-ingredient sandwich-- French bread, pickled veggie slaw, meat, some sort of mayo or sauce I think... I haven't even eaten enough of them, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

You haven't had swai in a while. Ever had wahoo? Now I'm just listing fish with funny names!
(can you tell I watch Top Chef? I think I only eat tuna and various types of sushi).

SO GLAD to see everyone posting, and having the same problem I had today (well, not glad about the problem... you know what I mean...) in that I didn't hit my upper calories.

I just put EVERYTHING in, and even upped some things that maybe I didn't estimate right, and I came to 1950.

My upper range at this weight, is 2300.

B: nay nay
L: leftover chicken and potatoes from a greek takeout night
S: leftover fruit compote (my mom makes this-- stewed plums (aka prunes, lol... branding!) and raisins and apricots, and I think honey and cinnamon? They all swell up and everything gets soft and syrupy.. so good with GREEK YOGURT, which I had a couple spoons of (2.5 oz, I did weigh it)
I also had 2 tiny mandarin oranges at some point

Dinner was more leftovers:
crispy skin roast pork
1/2 a cauliflower-- cooked by rubbing with mustard, then grated cheese, wrap up and bake till soft (my friend said 30 min, but I needed an hour). It steams itself and is really quite good. But the cheese does stick to the foil. I think I'll do parchment and foil next time...

2 sticks of "nutty bar chocolate" from a box from JAPAN a student gave me in December. Really good! I found the calorie count, and 1 stick is 110, so I counted it like a kit kat.

2 pieces of marzipan fruit (80 cal per piece).

OMG I had green tea today!

so even after all that, cheese and all (btw, that's a great low-carb recipe!), I'm still low on calories.

I think tomorrow will be a higher DD b/c we agreed to go to a movie and steak restaurant with friends tomorrow night...

I'm checking the menu now, and I think I can have a mixed green salad and either a sirloin or a small roast beef for about 750 all told (all tolled?)

G'night!

Dawn, I took your advice and had more cheese, and some PB, and reached 1999. I did go over my planned carbs, totaling 63, but it's okay. I didn't have any flour or sugar or alcohol, so not the worst carbs in the world.

I'm out of Swai, asked DH to pick me up some and he got Tilapia instead. I actually like Tilapia a bit more, but Swai is just slightly lower calorie. I have not tried Wahoo, and will likely save that for sometime when drinks are involved because I know I'll be shouting "Wahoo-hoo!" and need to be able to blame alcohol.
