More power to you! That is some serious commitment. WTG on the 23 pounds, and you'll be in the Two's in no time. JUDDD is a fantastic way to lose the rest in a very livable way. Just be sure to post here as much as you can - the support can't be beat!

OMG! Kissa, I didn't know! How cool is that! DD was saying the same thing that she might not want to come back! LOL! But I think she is a So Cal girl at heart so she will. She has to anyway in 2 years to finish her degree in the US. DH and I postponed our trip of going to AU in January as Miss wanted to do things by herself. I don't know why we worry so much, the kid is quite capable of taking care of herself! Especially after having worked in the Social Services here! So, we'll be going to the AU East Coast in April to coincide with her Easter/Spring break.

LCG, You are so right but how does one control one's mind! Slowly, the sages tell us, for once you have controlled your mind the world is your oyster! And I am far from being a sage! Whenever I see my daughter preening herself in the mirror, I say to myself, "did I look like that when I was young"! Big Bada Boom!

You have just the right attitude! I'm a little scared and excited at the same time of getting bodyfat test done too in February!

Kissa, Unna, I guess, Religion/faith/belief does help in sticking to the fast.

Haven't done that in years! Maybe, one day, hopefully, in the near future!

SorenHang in there girl! Good to see you popping in!

Loving this potato hack so far. Don't get up with,"oh my, DD stay in bed, not much to eats etc. etc."! No side effects, not that hungry but am worried about negative effect on metabolism. Scales don't tell that much of difference but pants certainly do!

Huh. Curious. I think I averaged about 0.5# per day losses on the hack. However, there were those who didn't lose, and those who gained so my results are by no means typical.

But I'm glad you're liking it. I start mine tomorrow. Break through this bloody plateau as well!!!

Oh how exciting! I think the more of us that do these tests and report back here will help the rest of us. More information is always good. I can't wait to hear how you do. You've got to have rock hard legs and behind with all the walking you do.

I came off the antibiotics for the sinus infection a week ago Monday. I started losing weight well after that. However, by Friday, my cough was back and so was some of the weight.

It's all quite annoying. I don't feel like I'm sick or anything. It's just this stupid dry cough that won't go away.

I broke out the neti pot last night. I'm hoping it will help.

The weird thing is that I am not stuffed up at all.

Oddly, neither am I. Just the sinus/ear thing. Good luck with the neti pot!

No ear thing for me, fortunately. I just feel like I constantly have to clear my throat. I am probably annoying everyone around me.

When I first tried a neti pot, I got a cheapo plastic one from the drugstore. It didn't work at all. I ended up getting a nice ceramic one from Amazon and it actually works! It's kinda gross but I am hoping it helps not only with the cough but with sinus stuff in general. I have a deviated septum on one side and the sinus on that side don't get enough air to keep things cleared up (TMI, probably - sorry). I am hoping this works.

Good Morning - yes another snow storm in the northeast. Tomorrow is my last official day in the office before retirement and my co-workers are freaking out about the luncheon they have planned for me. They are worried with the frigid temps and amount of snow that no one will show up - I have the atittude of - have the party WITHOUT me! I can't believe I'm sitting in the office today with others bailing to go home early - would anyone believe I'm working at home if I leave early? Will anyone care or for that matter, will anyone KNOW where I am - my boss didn't show up either. I really have no more "time" to take without making me lose money or come back in after tomorrow - neither option makes any sense at this point.

I'm just bored - my work is done. Let me out of here!

I tried the neti thing years ago, but never really felt I got much benefit from it. I might need to give it another go if this thing doesn’t clear up.

I have used the neti pot daily since May 2007. In that time, I have only had 1 sinus infection. For years I had 4-6 sinus infections a year and now, 1 in 6 years. My DH's allergy DR told him he should do it daily as well....which he doesn't do! His issue! LOL I am a HUGE advocate of it. It has changed my life completely!

i used a neti pot once and OMG. i must have had a blockage or something cause it hurt my EARS so badly, i never ever did it again. and everyone in my family swears by them. not me, no way, nope.

but i am not prone to sinus infections. never had one in my whole life.

i would give it a whirl tho. they seem to work for just about everyone but me!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a sinus infection either — the problem here is in my ear more than sinuses. I used to get a lot of ear infections as a child, but they stopped by the time I was about 10.

Congratulations on your retirement! you are gonna love it so much. Every morning feels like Christmas to me and I've been retired for 6 years. It's like unwrapping the day and they say "Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present." silly old saying but so true. Stress melts away after retirement. Enjoy yours!

I agree with you just hanging out with the JUDDD BUDDs. Then there will be no question of you having ever to go back in and make up for time you took off. Can you make yourself a cup of coffee or some other favorite hot drink? Turn on some music. Make yourself comfy!

Thanks for the well wishes. Yam - every day feeling like Christmas would be great! I am beginning to have cold feet, but imagine with all big changes in life - it's temporary and nothing to freak out about. All of a sudden this weekend I started second guessing myself - I don't know why as I am a planner and have thought thru this decision for a few years and I know it's time - but once I started freaking out it was a slippery slide into more craziness.

I have chicken broth to sip on - it's a DD. I already brought my radio home, but could probably find some tunes online. Also a long time volunteer just came in the office, she drove thru the snow storm to visit me and tell me how much I've meant to her and her family, as well as others, during my 25 years here. It touched my heart and I calmed down considerably.

Still snowing - but I look at it this way, I only have to make one trip home - it can be now or later, but either way it's snowing - and the plows will be out more if I wait a bit.

Hey! How great that someone came by to tell you how wonderful you are! Perfect timing, eh?

The hot chicken broth sounds comforting with that snow falling outside. How far away do you live from where you work? Do you have to drive? Or take public transportation? I hope you don't have any trouble getting home.

You can find a lot of good toons on You Tube. I love the oldies.

Don't worry about retirement. Let it unfold.

My DH had such a long list of things he was going to dig into and he was anxious about which way to go at first when he retired a year ago. He has really relaxed into it now and there is this lovely rhythm of life we have fallen into.

We can be spontaneous when we want to and take a trip or go out to movies and dinners. Or we can drive to some attraction or volunteer at the food bank or hospice facilities. I can say "yes!" to having my grand kids over night any old time or hop on a plane and go see one of my sisters. It's a blast! Think of all the possibilities! I'll coach you!

Now there's a career idea: Retirement Coach!

Ok Yam - you can be the retirement coach! It is a once-in-a-lifetime things, as far as I'm concerned - so coaching is appreciated as I just can't imagine....

I drive to work, but I've had the luxury of a 4 mile commute for 25 years. I can't complain. I have one steep hill to my house, but 4 wheel drive and I'm ok.

The chicken broth tastes wonderful - and the snow IS so pretty.

I do have a long list of retirement "goals" - but more because I do better with routines. My DH is going to work two more years, so I can ease into it without him and then wait for the upheavel spending 24/7 with him will bring! LOL
