Cindy, I so agree with you I have been Judding off and on for a couple years. I just have a HARD time getting started after being on maintenance for so long, and then go off entirely for months. 500 calories to start just freaks me out. I am going to have to find high protein recipes.

I just went to her Facebook page for the diet and all of the discussions have been removed! There is a web site to contact her, but it is really just a site to sell her book.

I have a feeling she was getting too many questions and wants people to buy her book and not have a forum where people were making comments. Interesting.......

I find the original way of Dr. Johnson works just fine....we have proved it over and over here.

Dr. Mosley stated in an interview that if you are having a problem with the low calories to eat high protein until you can work your way down. Eating less than you have been every other day is much better than eating lots every day!

Seabreezes- I just was over there on her FB page and copied and pasted everything in here. After I saw your post I went back and my posts are there for Jan. 7th. You have to get into the box and scroll down.

On the other hand, all her posts are generically for her book, and not answers to questions.

I found the page. I also found another one when searching around. I had liked the one page a long time ago so thought it would pop up when I clicked on it. FB does some funny things sometimes!

Her answered are getting quite generic, though.

I have decided not to buy the either of the books. We are as knowledgable here as they are I believe.

i was reading in one of our newspaper about all the various IF plans and saw a reference to early man's experience of If. I loved the mnemonic they used... DODO, Day On Day Off, much more fun sounding than JUDDD,

Seabreezes- thanks for high protein information. I wish we had a section for high protein ideas here. I have been looking and have several other DD dishes so far. All I can think of is chicken and fish today.

Kissa- I sure am glad you explained DODO that sure threw me for a loop! I think the ladies here are as knowledgeable too. Matter of fact, I was thinking in Varadys reply to me about her “research for 8 years”… I think there may be some here, who maybe have been doing JUDDD for close to that length of time and would be experts with the knowledge, not “research”.

I think someone else mentioned this so sorry if I'm repeating.

In the FAQ section of Dr. J's new book he recommends that people go to lowcarbfriends/JUDD. I think that says a lot. Makes me realize he comes here and reads. I wish he would jump in and post!

Hey, maybe he does under a fake name. Wouldn't that be cool?

Sometimes, when DH is slow to understand what to do for a simple task or forgets in between times, he says, "I'll be as dead as a dodo before I manage to remember how to do this. I sometimes say, "Do you mean a dodo plugged into the mains would learn this faster than you?". [NB: I've no idea if you use the expression, 'dead as a dodo' in the US. And mains = mains electricity/being reanimated by electricity like Frankenstein.]

adillenal- Oh be careful what you post on a business FB page! They can get mad and report you to FB and they lock you out. It happened my first week on FB.

You can write on your own FB page what you want. If you go to a business FB page they do have the option of reporting you. It took myself and my daughter 1 week to get me back on there.

I wrote a bad review of a company on their own FB page and within 5 minutes of doing it I was locked out of FB. At 60 yrs. old, I guess I am an embarrassment to my kids. They couldn't believe it. I learned the hard way.

That's why I replied back to her on her page "Thanks". Nothing more.

Slim nana, your post is so cute! A new name for our group.....that will really confuse people.

I was going to get the new books, but have decided, for the moment, that I probably wouldn't do things any differently than I am doing now. I do have Dr. J's first book.

If Mafiamom has the same username over there, I doubt she'll have to worry. She can probably say anything she wants, wherever she wants... just sayin'

You can say what ever you want anywhere except on a business facebook page. It would be what ever name she uses in facebook that get the punishment over on facebook. You can say what ever you want on your own facebook page. Just not theirs.

Mifiamom- you didn't say anything nearly as bad as I did when I got kicked off FB. I flat out told them they were a rip off company on their own page. I told them they were illegal and I had plenty of proof from the manufacture, then I gave the toll free number so people could call the manufacturer. lol
