A 1st day on JUDDD funny

So, yesterday was my first DD.
I planned for it and I came in at about 350 calories, which is great!
This morning I took my thyroid medicine (I've just started it), poured myself a cup of black coffee, and then waited an hour to eat (per instructions on meds). Ate breakfast, it tasted delicious, and definitely was feeling like this is very do-able and was excited at the possibilities...hopeful that not only will I be able to fit back into my pants but eventually make it down a few sizes.
But as the morning progressed I started feeling more and more tired.
Achy.
Exhausted.
Freezing cold.
I started to worry that JUDDD + low thyroid were a bad mix. I'm also getting over a flu/cold and I thought maybe I was getting sick again. Was feeling very down in the dumps...
until on a hunch, I checked the package of coffee I purchased yesterday and saw that it was decaf!!
Ack!
3 cups of very strong decaf did nothing for me! Quick, I made a new pot of regular and now I feel great!

WOE: Whatever plan keeps me around 150 lbs!
I can't remember if you've said what thyroid meds you're on, but if you're on levothyroxine or similar, don't take it with or around the time you drink your coffee. It affects the absorption of the hormone.

Coffee and Thyroid Medication: Coffee Interferes with Levothyroxine Absorption, Coffee and Espresso Can Affect Synthroid, Levoxyl, Eltroxin, L-thyroxine

And decaf? Oh dear. I wouldn't last to lunch!

I take Armour, not levothyroxine, and my dr. said black coffee is fine. I wait an hour to eat.
I can't tell you how happy I was to discover it was my coffee addiction that was causing me to feel this way!

Please accept my sincere sympathies for ingesting decaff when you were expecting high octane!

Very funny and I am really glad you were able to trace the cause!!!

So glad you discovered the culprit! If you keep decaf for company, you need to put a label with a big red X on it. to JUDDD!

Wow Agee! 350 for your first dd

My hubby, boy friend at the time got his
decaf and reg coffee mixed up.
I drank it not telling the difference , got to work, later he called me.
I was so glad/relieved that was my headache problem!
I'm so happy for you that your dd was a success!

That is an evil surprise! I'm glad you realized it was caffeine withdrawal and not at all JUDDD related.
