Thursday Down Day-After Christmas

I am having a Down Day today, after two days of feasting. They were wonderful, but I am also looking forward to taking a break from all the goodness today.

I am planning to do just water. There are too many good things in the house for me to try to limit myself to 'just a little of something'. Total abstinence will be easier.

On the upside, we had so much good food in the house, that we decided not to have Christmas dinner (turkey) last night. We are going to have it tomorrow, to enjoy it without competition. So, I have some really good food to look forward to tomorrow, as well.

Anyone else getting right back to rotations today?

I'm planning for a DD.
I'm sipping a mug of coffee now= 30
Bedtime snack later will be one of usually stand-bys.

This may be the last DD I can fit in before the New Year so I'm looking at it as a tiny bit of damage control

Definitely a DD here, too. Gonna have to work hard at staying on plan for a few days to get rid of the excess water weight from all of yesterday's carbs ~ and get back in ketosis.

Coffee & tea for me until late this afternoon.

-- and though I am a daily weigher, I am NOT weighing in until tomorrow morning. It would just be too discouraging after everything I ate yesterday.

My first DD starting JUDDD is today!
I have a plan: 2 eggs this a.m. Veggie soup the rest of the day.
My motivation: none of my pants fit me. NONE. And I refuse to buy more.
Hopefully I can keep this annoyance at myself alive. I'd love not to be fat for the first time in my adult life. All of you success stories are very inspirational to me!

I'm sure you will love juddd. The first few DDs take some getting use to, but in my opinion there is no better way to lose weight.

Much needed DD here. I just entered yesterday's food in my tracker and I was around 3300 calories and 178 grams of protein.

B: Black coffee (5)
L: Small Wendy's chili with onions, TJ's habanero sauce, and 1/4C FF Greek yogurt (224)
D: 1 C FF Greek yogurt with EZ-Sweetz (120)

Much needed DD here too.

I can totally tell i ate too many carbs the last 2 days just because i am starving already!!
I had gotten to the point where i wasnt even that hungry on DD's. Keeping my carbs slightly lower helps that. Today is going to be a really tough but I have a gelatin/gluc shake in case. I have a boiled egg, an apple and a broth soup i made from the turkey neck with just some zucchini, carrots and celery in it.

I hope i can make it with just the shake and the soup if i need it. Maybe nothing if i can pull that off.

I'm looking forward to some great leftovers tomorrow. I made the best low carb sugar free cheesecake i have ever made!!!!

I have never really tried watching the carbs while juddding but I think ill give it a try my next UD. I'm sure that has a lot to do with my lack of energy. Or at least cut back on carbs some. I tend to have quite a few on UD's.

SlimNana- I love your guinea pig's hat!

When I saw Dawn's number, I was doubly glad that I do not track my Up Days. I ate a lot yesterday, but the exact number will forever be unknown.

I am certain that it was the carbs and/or dairy that caused my big gain. I think if I had stayed primal, but eaten the same amount of food, calorie-wise, I would only be up a couple of pounds.

But...it was so worth it! I love eggnog. And stollen. And chocolate. And cream.

I just went back to my tracker because I forgot to enter some sweet potato soufflé. Um, yeah, I actually had 3487 calories and 181 grams of protein. Yet another reminder that I really still can eat like a lumberjack.

Much needed DD here after doing two UDs in a row. I feel like I'm hungover today - could be from the coconut rum I had last night but probably more from all the sugar I've consumed in the past two days!

Just had coffee w/h&h and hot tea so far. Will continue with lots of water and then have soup or a protein shake for dinner.

Would you mind sharing the cheese cake recipe? Thank you...

I would love to have today be a DD and it should be, but a friend always has a fancy Chinese Dinner party at a Chinese restaurant here the day after Christmas. It is the date of her late husband's birthday. When he was alive it was always a birthday celebration for him. Now we remember him. I am going to try to eat very little before hand and have a Fast Five type day. Tomorrow I can get back on plan.

January 1 is not too far away! Let's do our best until then and then start with a bang in the new year!

I have stuck fairly well with my rotations. Today is naturally a DD for me. Going for a zero calorie day with just water to counter balance all the food I ate yesterday that I don't normally eat!

I have 5 days left to reach my December goal...fingers crossed!

This was a much needed DD. I had coffee with CO. Then a few hours later a home made cappachino. Lunch was an egg white. Dinner was a homemade Bloody Mary so far. It had lots of celery in it and a few olives so I am kinda full. I will probably have a small salad before bed. I would like to do another dd tomorrow. Lol

Good job Beverly!! Wow!

I am at 345 calories and done for the day. I had angel hair cabbage, 3.2 oz of chicken and a LC garlic and herb wedge for dinner. I also ate 2 small bites of chicken (rotesserie) before dinner so I counted 4 oz. Nothing else today besides coffee this morning, and a cup of broth w/1/2 T LCQ. Whew! I totally needed a DD.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and do a medium day, because Saturday will have to be a UD--it's our family Christmas.

Being low carb really helps. I am not as low carb as i was when eating the same everyday but I am well under 100 most days.
I think it helps with the cravings on DD's.

It is really really good.
1 cup of coconut or almond milk and 1 cup of water.
1T gelatin. I buy it in bulk from Amazon.
1t gluc
1/4 cup egg whites
I have left out the egg whites and its good too. It just makes it more filling.
I add 1T coffee grounds and then some of sf syrup.

I blend it in my nutribullet and put it in the fridge until i get ready for work then i take it with me and drink on it through the day or just have it for lunch or something if i need it.
It gets so nice and thick!!!

DD for me. I've only had 60 calories from half n half in my coffee this morning. Lots of water. Lots.

Hoping for good news from the scale tomorrow morning. If so, I'll indulge in yummy leftovers from Christmas dinner.

January 1 is not too far away! Let's do our best until then and then start with a bang in the new year!
Cheesecake

Crust
1/2 cup ground walnuts
1/4 cup ground sunflower seeds or almonds
1t cinnamon
1/4 cup truvia
3T coconut oil or butter or a mixture

Filling
2 bars philadelphia cream cheese (full fat)
1/4 cup sour cream
2T real lemon juice
2t vanilla
2 eggs

Mix the crust all together and then add it into the bottom of cupcake liners. I used silicone cupcake liners. About a half an inch thick.
Then put in 350 oven for about 10 min.

Mix the filling with a blender until smooth. Poor into cupcake liners. I had some left so i made a small one in a smaller ramekin.

Put a pan of boiling water on the bottom rack of the oven. You can put the water in anything.
Cook the cheesecake muffins until they are still kinda wobbly. I cooked them about 20 min in a 350 oven.
They were perfect!!! Turn off the oven and let them sit in the oven for about an hour and then put them in the fridge to cool

Good DD here so far.

I have had my shake and my broth soup. It was so good!!

I may have a boiled egg for dinner or more soup if i need it.

You guys are doing so well.

There is no way i would even attempt to try to add my food frm the last 2 days in my tracker!! It would scare me i think!!!
I'm going to weigh in the morning and see what the damage is. I figure if i wait until after my DD it wont be as bad on my brain!! LOL
