I would love to do salads, but I love dressing and that usually kills it for me. If I could put something else on my salad for moisture like salsa or something maybe that would help.

One of the things I like about doing a full fast on DDs is that I don't really need to watch calories on UDs. Even if I overeat and get 3000 calories (which is rare), it still averages to 1500 calories a day, which is enough for me to lose weight.

It may change the closer I get to goal, but it's working for now.

frost, that is what i do too. lately my DD's have been too high tho, and i haven't changed my UD's. gotta get back into the groove. i don't do 0 cals on DD's but i am usually below 250. usually LOL!

anyone remember those salad sprays? i think wishbone made them. i don't think you can get them anymore, but they were good for spritzing a salad with dressing and not getting all the calories.

Do you like 1000 Island?

I haven't tried this yet but it looks decent and pretty low calorie. You could use a little Splenda instead of the honey to drive the calories lower:

Ingredients

1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp reduced sugar ketchup
1 tbsp white vinegar
1-2 tsp honey (depending on desired sweetness)
2 tsp sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon white onion, finely minced
pinch onion powder
dash each salt and pepper

Instructions

Whisk all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Store refrigerated in an airtight container for 7-10 days. Serve completely chilled.

I like just a little ACV or Bolthouse Farms has several dressings (yogurt based) that are around 45 calories per serving. Their salsa ranch is really good. There's Walden Farms for 0 calories in a pinch, as well.

I just recently had a salad with Pace Picante sauce as the dressing and it was darn good. I did have a little cheddar cheese cubed up on it too, which added to the satisfaction level. I think Pace mixed with a little greek yogurt would also be good, and I'll try that soon. I just don't eat as much salad during the winter. More into roasted veggies and soup!

I usually use 2 T of some kind of dressing that is 50 calories (for 2 T), or lower and it's plenty. Especially with some chicken or tuna, or some other kind of meat. And a T or 2 of cheese.

So far 1/2 a cup of coffee= 15 calories
Made a mug of broth at 6:30pm- but lost it somewhere in the apartment before I drank it (better find it).
Just finished running and biking it's 7:40pm... I can't wait till my bedtime snack- a big salad with lettuce, cucumber, pickle and celery. I have dressing that is 30 calories for 2T.

I loved the wishbone spritzers... I still look for them, but it's been a long time.

They still have them in Walmart stores (Wishbone salad spritzers), according to their website.

I love all of these low DD's. I'm hoping to keep today low.

I haven't had a total fast yet. My lowest was my last one at about 390 for the day. I was 2.5 lbs lower after that DD so I need to do that again or even lower.

Wish me luck today!!! So far, just coffee with a teaspoon of half of half.

My DD's are typically around 600c. Today you have inspired me to go lower. Yesterday was a definite UUAD!

Only on a Big Mac. lol I'm more of a ranch person. You know, one of the most fattening kinds.

I did really good yesterday until I got home. I went all day on 20 calories and then had 2 cups of chili w/ a little shredded cheddar and 5 crackers. I figured probably 500 or so, but I still had a loss this morning so I'm not complaining. We chowed down while watching the X factor.

Yesterday was my first DD- I held it at 441

I had 2 BP coffees, 1 early a.m. and then midday. Dinner was Talpia with shirataki noodles with a little butter and parmesean.

Thought it would be a lot tougher than it really was!!

Doing good so far. I had to have my protein shake. I was starting to get a headache. I knew i needed to have something.
It was only about 100 calories though. Maybe less than that.
I am having half of my oat fiber muffin now. The whole thing is 50 calories so that will be 25.
I have to stay strong!! It is hard.

I went to TJ Maxx during lunch. Love that place. I found bottles of sf skinny coffee syrups on clearance for only $3.00!!! Big time score there!!! These were the big huge bottles too that are usually 7 or 8 dollars.

I picked up 1 vanilla hazelnut and 2 chocolate. Chocolate is hard to find!! I cant wait to use them in my DD muffins!!

It's my experience that hunger side-effects (shakiness, headaches, etc) eventually stop happening as one gets used to fasting. It's possible that if you keep going as low as you can, eventually that will stop and you will be able to do a 0 DD, if you wanted.

Cool thread... my DDs have been on the high side lately, but my last one was under 320 (my calorie level for DD). Today I am at 20 calories so far and only plan for 200 more.

I want to rein in before next week - any time I can and today's DD is the chance!
