When do you eat on UDs?

The question's in the title. Do you wake up and eat immediately? Or do you wait? I ask because I prefer to just eat breakfast and then have dinner. Is this okay?

it happens one of two ways, typically. some mornings i just have coffee til about 2 then i have a snack, then a normal dinner.

some mornings i am tooo hungry and i have coffee and eat breakfast. i am usually good until dinner than.

i have to say, the days where i eat breakfast and then dinner are the days i usually don't gain (or not gain as much) on an UD.

On JUDDD so far I usually have lunch at 12, or 1-2 if I can wait (getting better at this as it's only my 2nd week!). Then dinner at 8.

But I did get to my lowest adult weight 3 years ago doing what you do, just breakfast and dinner.

Occasionally I have lunch at 1:30pm or 2pm- usually a yogurt, but sometimes something more. I typically wait till dinner and also have a bedtime snack.

I usually have at least 2 cups of coffee in the morning on UD with SF creamer.

I have been eating bulletproof coffee in the mornings on UD's then I have a protein shake around 10 or so, lunch at 1pm then a snack at 4 or 5, usually yogurt then dinner at 7p. I don't like eating so late so eat more during the day and have a small dinner, just salad and some kind of protein.

I just generally eat when I get physically hungry. I am usually not hungry right away and I do like to wait until the fast is at 36 hours, so it kind of depends when I quit eating at my last UD.

Most UDs I just have coffee/HWC for breakfast. I've never been a big breakfast eater, and it also helps me save calories to use for dinner/drink/possibly snack later in the day, when I tend to want to eat more.

It sounds like you know your own pattern pretty well, so just run with that. We're all so different, and part of the JUDDD journey is figuring out what works best for YOU.

Whatever works for you is just fine.

I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner on UDs. I take my daughter out for bagels before school. It's sort of "our" time, so I do it whether or not I'm hungry, and virtually every UD.

Personally I am not a breakfast eater. I only have a glass of Berocca (a vitamin drink) on waking. Thank you DH.

Then Mon, Wed, Fri I try to go to the gym. Some of my classes aren't until 1pm but I don't eat beforehand. I am seldom hungry until dinner although I will enjoy a coffee and a snack sometimes.

But that is just me. If you enjoy breakfast then that is great. Go for it.

Occasionally I will have a decadent breakfast, but I nearly always regret it. Mostly because I still want lunch and dinner lol, and because of breakfast I don't have many calories left to "spend".

I so agree. On the days I eat breakfast I can spend 800 calories on it and still want lunch and dinner. I don't usually eat breakfast any longer although I used to eat it every morning.

I remember when you said breakfast was a "must", Adi. People still try to tell me it's the most important meal of the day.

Well, breakfast = breaking the fast so, in a way, the first meal we eat on our UDs is our "breakfast" - ha ha ha.
I've never been a big breakfast eater, I will very occasionally do a special breakfast at home but in general I've never been a fan. And feel ill when I force it. So I usually don't end up eating until noon or later on my UDs but that was a pre-established pattern and easiest to maintain. I do have coffee with HWC in the morning however.
I have the worst luck from about 4pm - 6pm. That's my "witching hour" and when I'm mostly likely to totally blow it. So its important for me to save calories for that time frame. I'd rather a ok lunch and substantial dinner than 3 smaller meals all day.
But, as previously mentioned, you need to do what works for you!

I usually eat three meals and sometimes a snack, mostly because my food choices are so limited. But it works for me

I am another who rarely wants solid food in the morning. Coffee with HWC, bone broth...that breaks my fast.

Most UDs I find it is best for me to eat a salad or something light for lunch.

I get most of my cals with the evening meal.

BUT, for you, if breakfast and dinner feels right and gives you energy for the day, then it is totally right!

Work day Up days, I eat breakfast by 7:30, 8:00 at the latest. Now on the weekend, Like Saturday, I got up and ran errands and such, ended up eating breakfast between 9:30 and 10:00. Typically, I eat B/L/D with snacks on all Up days! I split my calories on work days almost always the same:

Breakfast 300c
Lunch 400c
Snack 200c

I am to have 1900c on an up day. I like to leave 1000c for me to use after I get home. Sometimes it's more, sometimes a little less!
