Hi Bimpee, and !

I was doing Atkins before I started JUDDD. I took a weekend off between the two plans and ate whatever I wanted. I gained a few pounds (glycogen, water) and called that my JUDDD starting weight. Since then I've eaten whatever I wanted on UDs and DDs. I am not carb sensitive, so I lost just fine eating all the foods on the planet. Each of us is different, so you'll need to find how your body best responds. My typical UD menu starts with a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast, a Vietnamese sandwich for lunch, then whatever I want for dinner (and several cocktails).

Caveat: The last couple of months I've been eating a TON of sweets and junk. I'm currently doing Atkins for a few weeks just to wean off the sugar, but will be back to regular JUDDD or 5:2 lickity split.

July 2014, weight is creeping up: Back to JUDDD.

Thanks so much for that quick reply and welcome! I'm going to use till the end of the week to REALLY enjoy my food. Will weigh and start JUDDD on Monday, eating what I want, but the healthier option if there is one UD. On DD Ill probably stick to fruit/yogurt/soup throughout the day and a yummy protein and veggie dinner. I'm so excited!

Bimpee. Always lovely to see another here and it seems absurdly local when it's another person from the UK, and London in particular.

When you feel up to it, it would be super if you introduced yourself in the JUDDD thread so that more people have an opportunity to meet you. (There's also a January thread where new starters can swap tips, ask questions and generally give each other support and that might be a good place to ask any questions that you need to know about before your official start. )

Good luck with JUDDD and I hope that you find that it's compatible with your life and suits your goals.

Dawn: That is sooooooo great! I mean the new low and also that after enjoying yourself freely for a while you were back to normal in just two DD rotations. That is just amazing and why we love JUDDD.

Congrats again!!
