I weighed before the hike but I did notice that the britches were falling down while hiking so maybe I'll have a nice drop after my next DD.

The original is MCT oil, coffee, and butter from grass fed cows. I tried it with coconut oil instead of MCT and I could not stand it but it is OK using the real deal. MCT oil that is.

Thanks everyone. After an UD yesterday, I was back on the wrong side of 200 this morning but that is to be expected (I always bounce up 2 or 3 pounds after an UD). With a DD today, it should be heading back down tomorrow and this week. It will be nice when UDs are in Onederland, too.

I’m still struggling to update my body image to match reality. I think it’s partly because I’m so bundled up to stay warm that, fully dressed, I don’t look much different .

I tried a pair of trousers on that were snug when I bought them in April, and now I can put them on and off without undoing them. It doesn’t seem quite real yet.

Iím not surprised! Thatís a big change. I spent a good part of my adult life between 110 and 120, so this is not new territory for me. In a way, itís where I see myself even when Iím heavier. Somehow this recent change doesnít seem to be sinking in though. Iíll get there .

I was 112 up till about 2007 so I wasn't really overweight for that long, but it is still hard for me. I never had a great body image. Felt fat at 112 and would kill to weigh that now so I guess it's all relative. Honestly, at age 21 I weighted less than 95 pounds and in my mind I was as big as I was at 200 pounds. It's a process for me.

I have felt fat since I hit puberty, no matter what weight I was. I thought I was huge in junior high, and I was just getting my girl curves. I was slender through high school, but thought my hips and butt were enormous. I'd kill to have that figure today! When I look at pictures of myself over the years, there have been times that I was really quite slender, but didn't realize it or appreciate it. I'm hoping that this time around I won't feel that way. I guess I need to start putting my money where my mouth is by appreciating where I am today, vs where I started, even though I have several more pounds I want to lose.

It is sad that we don't realise how special we are throughout our lives. We are too judgemental I fear. Loving ourselves should be a JUDDD priority next year. Lets try to make it happen.

I feel so strongly about this, we need a love yourself thread. Well maybe with a catchier name than that.

I was actually quite happy with my size and weight — till I was approaching 40 and it just seemed to keep going up. Then at 42 I did LC and stayed between 110 and 120 again for five years till life and the menopause hit and I put it all back on again. This time, I think the combination of moderate carb and EOD (or 5/2 or whatever it takes) will be easier to live with.

Actually, most of the time when I gain weight I don’t even enjoy eating that much. I like eating frequent small meals, but often end up eating more than I want just because it’s there. I really feel better when I have some days of not eating much.

Anyway, great idea for a thread, Kissa, but I think that title might not quite capture what you had in mind .

That's the kind of thing. We are all too good at putting ourselves down. We need to feel the love, be proud and stop judging ourselves simply by our size.

I'm absolutely for this new thread, whatever we call it. We're all great at seeing the beauty and kindness and just wonderful qualities in each other, and cheering each other on. Now we need to turn some of that back onto ourselves.

Great idea for a thread.

At my thinnest (which was not really thin, but at least a healthy BMI) I felt hugely fat, but that feeling never made me get any thinner--rather the opposite!

Now though, to be honest, I've spent so long (a couple of decades) drifting upwards, that even fat weights started to feel OK to me, like it was normal. Too many people telling me I carry it well? A self-defense mechanism against my own self-disgust? Nonetheless, it is decidedly not normal or healthy to have nearly 40% body fat, that's for sure. And at the same time as I looked at myself in the mirror and thought I was OK, I *knew* I was/am fat and had the same intense self loathing as always.

Maybe a heavy dose of self-love is necessary to produce the same kind of "reset" that JUDDD is performing on my metabolism? A mental metabolism reset.

I think it’s a slightly different angle that I need to work on. I’ve had such a lot of exhaustion and depression through the menopause. I need to work on finding pleasure in life again.

I weigh a lot earlier in the morning Monday through Thursday, so I was actually expecting to possibly not have gotten back down in the 199's this morning.

Well, I was right; I wasn't in the 199s this morning.

198.8
