Great pics of you and the family, Frosty! Sounds like you guys had a fun day.

Cindy/Kissa, I'm glad you're back to where you feel comfortable. You always make it look so effortless to go off and enjoy yourself fully, and then come back and slip right back into the routine. You give me hope, friend, for a permanently slim future.

KT, I hope you're not catching something! Maybe you just needed some extra rest from all the holiday craziness. Here's hoping!

Carly, your tree is beautiful! You're a good wife. I hope you both enjoy it! I've still got to take some pics of mine to post.

Cindy/LG, what a weird encounter! Those kinds of things always leave me with a strange feeling afterward. Luckily it doesn't happen too often!

Seabreezes, same here about the artificial tree. Our family has always had the tree up for several weeks, and a real tree just won't last that long here in Phoenix. I'm burning a beautiful pine scented candle to make up for it!

Colleen, what a bummer DH has to be away this time of year. That's gotta be rough on all of you!

Well, I couldn't fall asleep last night so I got up and wrapped packages! Got them almost all done too. Got to bed about 2:20 and still didn't fall asleep right away. I got up at 6:30 and have made gingerbread cookies, and will get them decorated today. It sure smells good in here, but I haven't had even a taste on this lovely DD! I still need to make a run to Petsmart today to pick up some doggie presents. I was beginning to panic, but it seems like everything is falling into place nicely.

I'm getting ready to sit down, knit, and watch football! I finished most of the Christmas shopping yesterday, then had a nice family dinner and a cozy read in bed. The perfect weekend.

beautiful Frosty

Love all your snow.
Our snow is all melted.
We put up a faux tree, I only hiked to the barn for it.
I'm allergic to the beautiful live trees.
Your pic took me back to cutting my grandmothers Xmas tree with her each year.
Those were the good ol times

I've enjoyed my weekend too. Feeling almost too well sorted for Xmas. No doubt that will change by next Monday. I know the JUDDD calm and the DD energy has helped.

I love Christmas and I love JUDDD.

Sounds like everyone's getting Christmas under wraps. I don't really do Christmas presents anymore much. I only buy for bf and my mother. My siblings and I don't exchange and only get together for the company. Everyone has their own families and even grandchildren, and trust me no one's doing without lol. It makes the holiday's a lot less stressful for me, for sure.

I'm having a great DD and enjoying a cup of coffee. Bf always says he wants me to make coffee, then I find his cup in the sink before I even finish my first cup (and he wasted my cream!). Oh well, more for me, hee hee.

I think our Christmas arrangements are pretty well sorted out too. I’ve not reached the point of actually looking forward to it yet, but a couple of weeks away from our cold broken house will do us good.

They got the quotation to us on Friday afternoon, but by the time we clarify various issues, there’s no way the work will be done this week. At least the weather’s mild, so we can keep a couple of rooms warm while we’re here, and not have to worry about things freezing while we’re away.

I like our tree but it's been a giant pain to get it straight in the tree stand.

I have a fake 36" tree and for some reason the lights on the top half have gone out leaving only the bottom half of the tree lit. It looks wonky but I'm not gonna fix em until I take the tree down in a coupla weeks.

I have a couple of trees like that that the boys have up in their rooms. The lights started burning out like that last year and then one of them started smoking. I cut out all of the lights and bought strings of LED lights to put on them instead.

You have to watch those trees with bad habits around your kids.

Lol Cindy!

Im back from CA, got in late Friday before the snow hit the east coast.

Dh is coughing like a sea lion, so i hope I don't get his cold.

Sorry for all those who have losses this time of year.

I got my travel visa ok last week. A lot of worry for naught. Thats hiw it goes.
Busy work week coming up - record some training videos, arrange all company training sessions for two weeks in January, arrange another Bootcamp for end of January, write my review, and have 1 or 2 work lunches.
5pm on the 20th cant come fast enough.

Oh, and bought a guest bed today. Mom's request (she's paying) the mattress is called "granite", I swear. Her choice.
?
Weird.

I used to sleep on a really hard mattress but now I have a memory foam one. Lovely.

Very pleased with my scales today, and it is all down to doing JUDDD as intended, rather than an approximation of it. Funny that!

We had a recent shock with our memory foam mattress topper. We were without power for four days, and the house got VERY cold. Our topper got extremely hard, as the memory pellets 'firmed up'. It took a couple of days at normal temperatures for them to 'thaw'.

I'll have to mention that to my wife. She likes a super hard mattress and ours is getting old enough it needs to be replaced. I didn't like the super hard mattress at first but love it now. Sleeping in a softer bed just kills my back. That first night back from a vacation feels extra amazing.

so do most of you all do somewhere else for Christmas day or do you host it in your home? we go to our lakehouse up in northern PA for Christmas eve, thru new years day. my family and his family come over in the morning for breakfast and stay all day. it's nice, but stressful LOL! sometimes i wish we could just do pizza for Christmas instead of spending the whole day cooking.

what is your tradition?

sorry if i am chatty today. i am snow bound and jd is out of the country. may bundle up the 2 year old and go to the store just to see people

We generally spend Thanksgiving at my wife's parents' and used to do Christmas at my parents'. A few years ago, the boys said that they really wanted to spend Christmas at home so that's what we do now. We don't have any family nearby, so it's just us, hanging out, overeating and playing games.

Dec 25 we go to hubby's side of the family, eat lunch, have bingo gift exchanged.

Both of those days will be UD, it's a plan!

We used to go to MIL's vacation home up in the mountains, but with the economy the way it is, they had to rent it out, so we haven't done that the last few years. We'll probably just stay home. We have no family in the area.

We have no family in HI so have adopted several people who do not have family here either. We get together at our place for a lovely Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone helps, so it is relatively easy. We just have to have lots of wine available!

Christmas day we generally spend with other friends. This year we have a lovely open house to go to. They will both definitely be UP days, but that is OK. Back to rotations on the 27th as we go to a big Chinese dinner party on the 26th to celebrate a friend's birthday.

my inlaws do this down in FL for thanksgiving. they have a lot of the older people in the country club who have lost their SO's, and whose families can't make it down, over for dinner. everyone brings something and it's a very nice time!
