How true!

We put stuffed animals under our tree - mostly stuffed bears I have collected over many years. We also buy different kinds on our travels if they are not huge. One of the animals is a camel with the name is Salalah! Guess where he came from? We have been there a couple of times on cruises. Egypt is a fascinating country, but glad we were there when it wasn't going through all of the turmoil of today.

Glad to have you back posting......

ME TOO. It happens more than i like to admit too! I was never this food sensitive in my 20s. I turn 30 and poof...everything changes.

Although - I did find a picture of me earlier this year, and compared it with a picture I took a couple weeks ago. It's on my twitter if you want to see: https://twitter.com/Lilladykt/status/408322148743520256

Thank you

I've learned that my love of lattes hurts...unless I get soy ones. The only place I can get soy lattes is Starbucks. Luckily for me there's two right downstairs from my office. Or I could just make my own at home Save me some $$ too.

Yes, it is I. The true JUDDD failure, yet I always want to come back. I started to start a new post, but hoped some of the JB's would recognize me and share with me. All of you know my struggles with JUDDD. I love it. It's what I always end up coming back to. But it hasn't seemed to work since my hysterectomy (2 years ago). I've tried true EOD, M/W/F DD, T/Th/Sat UD, Sun MD (my favorite schedule), make sure I eat enough on UD (or I wouldn't lose when I was losing), etc., etc. Nothing works.

It's been a rough summer. I just recently lost my mother. We knew it was coming, but it's still been rough. I would pin some of the weight trouble on stress, but the weight has steadily piled on since the surgery. I've tried Atkins '72, NK, PP, keeping carbs between 10-20, and have been trying LC/WW. All with no success. I actually sailed through the last of my mother's weeks and days eating Atkins '72 and did beautifully eating wise - but still no loss. Well, I lost almost 7 lbs. and it came back as fast as it left - all while eating '72.

I've been encouraged previously to give it a month (earlier in the year) and I did, but still with nothing. I admit that although I keep the food relatively low carb, I've changed eating plans just about every week for the last few weeks. I'm wanting to get back to exercising, just some walking or WATP, but haven't really gotten started yet. According to the calculator, my numbers are 2041/408.

You JB's who've known me lo these many years and having witnessed my struggles with no losing ... what would YOU do? Not with the food, as eating low carb (with an occasional high carb day thrown in) works well for me in the saiety department. It's the LOSING that gets my goat! Or rather, lack thereof. I rarely even have any NSV's!! I know the obvious answer is to give it time, see what works, etc. But you know I've done that - more times than once.

I'm planning on starting again possibly Monday. I always come back full of enthusiasm and hope, but not losing does me in. So, I'm still weighing it out, no pun intended!!

Anyway ... if you'd read this far, I applaud and thank you. Even if no one has any suggestions, it felt good to vent (yet again!!!!!!!).

Oh 'Nilla, I know you've tried everything. I really don't know what to say. I keep hoping whatever you try will work and I get frustrated on your behalf. I can't even imagine how frustrated YOU must be. I have no words of wisdom, just a great big ole JUDDD BUDDD hug.

Nilla! I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. However you've managed during that time and since is good enough.

I don't have any suggestions, as I can't seem to move beyond the 30 lbs I've lost either. I am thankful that I've kept it off, but I certainly understand why you want to lose more, and I do too!

Glad to have you back, and we'll keep trying together.

Aw! Don't say that!
Anyway, I think that's me? lol
Nice to see you again!

Sorry about your mom.

Okay...the changing plans every week...maybe that's part of the problem? I did that for a while and got really overwhelmed and just stopped doing anything...gained back the 20ish lbs I'd lost on JUDDD.

I really have to do something for 2 or 3 months to see if it's working--my weight fluctuates so much with hormones & TOM, sometimes I only have one good weight-loss week per month. It's frustrating but even if I'm just maintaining and not gaining, I have to consider that it's "working". Cuz left to my own devices/appetites/cravings, I always gain. (I guess with a hysterectomy TOM's probably not your problem?! But are you taking any hormones that might be affecting your weight?)

Another idea might be to mine the supplement threads to see if there's anything worth trying. Not for appetite suppression, but to help the weight loss. pH balance/alkalizing, for example.

Any issues with blood sugar? Do you have a meter?

PS--I've been taking chia seeds, gelatin, iodine, and "salt sole", and they seem to be making JUDDD easier + more effective this time around.
Although this week has not been particularly good.
