DD told me she was gathering up a bunch of jeans, shorts and capris that her DD no longer wears because they are baggy. She was going to donate them to a local thrift store. That was a couple of months ago and I told her not to get rid of any 12s - 16s but give them to me.

There were some shorts and capris and one pair of jeans that were just way too tight.

Well. Now they fit. Yay for hand-me-downs from a grand-daughter!! Would that be a hand-me-UP??
Wonderful for both of you! I love the Me-Up's!

Hopefully you are getting better each day....

Yam, I bought lots of new stuff for my trip to France. I really like most of it so will have to have my daughter alter some when they get too big. Wow I like the sound of that!

Mom, I kept looking at the sizes since my 18's are too tight that I have in my closet. The slacks are 20's but all my shirts are 1x. The dresses are size 16 and one dress is a 14...I was like...

Superb NSVs! I love this thread

My latest one is that I have to stop clothes shopping for a while because I feel GOOD in everything I try on, and my bank balance can't take it!

I'm back in my smallest jeans. There's a little muffin top action going on, but it's not bad. I'm still not down to my low weight, but the pants don't lie. I'm getting there!

Jen, that is wonderful! A new size AND under $100? That is amazing! You are doing great, KUTGW!

I should be getting my new stuff from LB this week some time. All 18/20 but I don't think I'll fit in them yet. I bought 2x 20/22's a couple months ago and they might be getting just a little loose now but not much.

I got a lightweight jacket, 3 tops and 2 pants. Came to $136 I think. I thought I got a real bargain, but not as good as yours!

What a haul! And you're going to feel (and look) so much better in clothes that fit! So often I think we don't show off our losses because we're still wearing the same old huge, baggy clothes. WTG!

Ooh, great shopping expedition! I spent $60 on clothes yesterday Okay, time for me to stay OUT of the stores for a while.

Dawn, Not that anyone had any doubt you'd get back to your happy place!

I realized I have another NSV which is very profound for me. I don't binge any more. I don't really overeat. I have a bunch of ice cream and other treats in my kitchen and I don't get that overwhelming urge to numb out on them anymore. Now, I'm not a saint. I still think, "Do I really need that extra <whatever>?" and sometimes I still eat it even when I know I'm not at all hungry. But most of the time, I don't, and it's not a big deal. It's just....normal

Seriously, I feel like crying with joy about this. I've used food all my life. USED it to repress, replace or reinvent my feelings. Used it to shove down all the pain, the lack of love, the anxiety. And now I feel free. I think a big part of it is that since I left my marriage, I've been becoming so..peaceful...and working on who I really am, and learning that I am enough. Just me. I don't need to seek anyone else to validate me. Somewhere in there, along with the wonderful freedom of JUDDDING, the need to eat my feelings, and the belief that I am worth my own love and respect, has bloomed. What a gift.

Been away from here for tooooo long, but look what you are accomplishing.

The pants don't lie!

And not binging is a truly accomplishment. Well done for taking back your life.
