This morning it was 104 after an UD!

You know what's weird...my BG has been better many, many times after having something with fat & carbs before bed. Like crackers & cheese, or ice cream, or peanut butter M&Ms. I think this is because that combination digests slowly; therefore blood sugar doesn't get low in the middle of the night and the liver doesn't have to dump glycogen.

I was able to comfortably sit in a movie theater seat today. Usually I feel extra snug in one. Also, I did not need to adjust the table at our booth during breakfast. I usually have to push it out.

I bought a pair of jeans 6 weeks ago. Fit perfectly. Size 24.

Today, they are too big for me. I tried on a pair of jeans I haven't been able to wear for over 2 years. I didn't think they would fit, but I wanted to use them as a measurement for the future. They fit perfect. Size 20. I tried on another size 20 and couldn't even button up. I will use those as a measurement.

I have been on JUDD less than 3 weeks.

I purchased a dress Mothers Day weekend from NY & Co. It was a little snug, but I figured I'd be able to put it on in a few months. I just stepped into it and it's loose all over. I'm still going to wear it because it's cute, but I probably will have to donate it. Woo hoo!

Yay Lisa! Find yourself a woman who does good alterations for just a few bucks and use her! I've started altering my own basic and inexpensive things, but for anything fitted or more expensive, I have my go-to alteration gal!

Plus, you can really mess with people as they see you getting smaller and smaller, but wearing the same clothes!

Jenmay that is awesome! I remember when I could start fitting comfortably in restaurant booths, movie seats and airplane seats. What a wonderful feeling that is not having to squeeze my rear into places anymore. or worry that my butt would even fit!

Yesterday I found a big sale on some nice pants and tops online. I ordered six things a size smaller than I am wearing now. How's that for positive thinking??
LOL

Lisa: yay on the dress being loose! I'll bet it looks cute anyway.

Jaylynn: Sounds motivational. I have not been brave enough to buy smaller clothes as goal attire. However, I do have quite a supply of favorites in smaller sizes in boxes, tucked away waiting for me to fit into them. I should pull something out and make it a goal outfit.

I remember when seat belts on planes started feeling a bit snug and telling myself if I didn't do something I'd soon be asking for an extension. That was one push in the right direction for me and a wake up call.

I will be flying to PA in a few weeks to spend time with my sisters. Here's hoping for a comfy seat and loose seat belts!!

Yam, first of all I am so glad you are feeling better and posting again! How scary what you went through. We never know what's ahead do we. After all the abuse I have given my poor body with the excess weight, I am amazed it continues to stay healthy.

I ordered from Lane Bryant online. I was looking for a swimsuit and I know they have good ones. Didn't find one but Iwent to the sale section and found SO MANY great markdowns on some very nice things. I started to order my current size but stopped when I realized that I am losing right now so in a few months the current size would be too big! So I took a leap of faith and now I have to get down a size so these nice things will fit nicely come fall. None of them are summer clothes.

The best thing is I can pick up the order at their store in our mall, take them home and try them all on and wear them a little, and take anything back to the store that I'm not happy with. I usually don't like ordering clothes online because its such a hassle mailing back and forth if they don't work out.

I don't think I've lost much off my waist yet, maybe 1/2 an inch. (I need to take all-over measurements soon, and maybe a "before" picture!)

But...I stand around a lot watching over the baby play in the yard and I often put my hands on my hips. Today it felt weird...I think the "lumps" where I usually rest my hands might be getting smaller! I also have these lumpy-shelfy things under my butt/at the top of my thighs that kinda get bunched up and hurt when I lie on my back and stretch out my legs--I have to put a pillow or something under my knees to be comfortable. But this weekend they didn't seem to be getting in the way quite as much.

Jan: I know exactly what you mean about not liking the hassle of having to mail things back. That's great that you can return them to a local store if you need/want to. And it's awesome that you found so many great things. Be sure to buy a few things in your current size. For me, I get motivated when I have nice things to wear now that fit great. Yeah, I wanna look forward to smaller sizes, but some times it sabotages me to have to look frumpy while I'm waiting for more pounds to drop.

P.J. Great news about feeling a difference! KUTGW!

NSV here. My 15 year old grand daughter (who is as tall as me) has been slowly losing weight over this past year just becoming more active and cutting out junk food. She was wearing size 18s and now is in 12's and down to some 10s. She looks great!

DD told me she was gathering up a bunch of jeans, shorts and capris that her DD no longer wears because they are baggy. She was going to donate them to a local thrift store. That was a couple of months ago and I told her not to get rid of any 12s - 16s but give them to me.

There were some shorts and capris and one pair of jeans that were just way too tight.

Well. Now they fit. Yay for hand-me-downs from a grand-daughter!! Would that be a hand-me-UP??
