Maybe we could make a plan to get together sometime during the last week of July? We could meet in Angel's Camp or go to Saddle Creek. Saddle Creek only serves dinner on Friday's and Saturday's now, but I think they do breakfast and lunch every day. I can't believe I am beginning my 6th month on JUDDD. My journey has taken me below my goal weight ~ and honestly 165 was a dream goal. I really expected to settle in around 174 as that has always been a 'set point' for me and I am okay with myself at that weight. I have seen 157 but it seems I have settled around 160 give or take 2 lbs. Wowzers Pat! 6 months on JUDDD and you have lost 40 pounds and you are below your goal. You really know how to stick to the plan!! Congratulations!!

Believe me, I think if you had MaiTai's and travels as often as I have lately, you could have lost more slowly.

I know I'm slow. I've lost 17 pounds in 6 months. But, I've decided I'm ok with it. I'm not in a race. I'm not in a rush. It's all about heading in the right direction and having a good time goofing off while doing it!

If fact, while DH and I were driving back from San Francisco yesterday we were talking about weight. He lost 17 pounds and has kept 15 off for many months. He wants to lose more. But I said, "Honey, just think: If we can lose 15 pounds every 6 months, that will be 30 pounds gone in a year and we didn't suffer doing it!!!

He agreed!

But still, Pat, I'm in awe of you!!! Now, go clothes shopping!

Blood sugar was 86 when I got home from work last night--that's like a normal person's!!! I'd had about 375 calories all day. I only ate the food I brought, and not even all of it...and not a single Cheerio or "cheddar bunny" jumped into my mouth, which sometimes happens when I feed the baby!

I had a sort of big dinner (600 calories) when I got home...I brought dinner (ratatouille) and was going to eat at 7 but at 6:45 boss said we were leaving in a few minutes...then kept me there til 8:15! Still came in at about 40% calories for the day, not bad for me.

Blood sugar has been about 115 every morning, after UDs and DDs...a definite improvement! I usually see 125-140.

Such a cute new avi! I think you'll look great in long hair. Do you like to do a lot of different things with it when it's long? I love doing mine in a French braid in the summer, and loose buns.

Today I am wearing size 14 jeans! It's been roughly 15 years since I could say that. The jeans are actually loose in the waist but the thighs are pretty tight. I think that's a heavy lifting effect from many squats.

I was brave and tried on my old, comfy size 12 jeans this morning. They fit!! They are a little snug, but size 12 buttoned, zipped and I can move and sit in them.
