It's cause I stole it from you in the first place

You'll get it back. I've noticed I have ebbs and flows. In 2 months of JUDDD, I've had maybe a month "on track" here and there. You're just in an ebb. Don't give up and soon it will be a "flow"!

Yay! Down an inch on my waist from the last time I measured a couple months ago. I might have pulled a little too snug and sucked it in a little too tight, but it was definitely smaller than last time. My goal is to hit 35" before our health insurance screenings at work so they won't yell at me (for that, at least). I think I'll get there!

Yay on losing a waist inch! That's what makes a difference to your health.

On Friday I went jeans shopping. I didn't want to buy jeans away from the discount stores I know so well at home, but I couldn't resist the temptation. Found some size 4 Esprit jeans that fit like a glove. (Down from size 12--and an occasional 14--when I started, size 8 what seems like just a short while ago.)

I always pull the tape measure snug. Isn't that the way you're supposed to do it? Great news losing an inch!!

Well sure, it's always supposed to be snug. I just might have pulled it tight enough to smush my stomach fat a little.

Snug but not so that there's anything bulging over or below the tape.
I always make sure I can wiggle/slide the tape back & forth a little.
--I worked in a formalwear shop and that's how we measured.

Just realized I have an NSV! Was going to wear a pair of charcoal colored capris and when I put them on they wouldn't stay up! They looked like clown pants!

So I remembered I had a pair of size 14 jeans capris that I could not button or zip the last time I tried them on. Put them on today and they fit perfectly!

I was filling out our family calendar for the month of July and realized that there are only 8 days where the 5 of us will be all together at home. My son is going to Georgia Tech for a summer program. We are taking the girls to Texas for a week. Husband and I have a second trip to Texas. I'm flying to Georgia to see my brother and sister. DH and I are going to Park City for a work retreat. Wanna hear the best part of it all?? I'm not trying some last ditch diet to lose 10 pounds in 7 days. I'm not packing a suitcase of shapeless clothing that best hides my big belly. I'm not afraid of food and am not stressing over how to maintain a low carb OR paleo OR raw vegan diet while on vacation. That has so been my M.O. I'm meeting up with my best girlfriends in Texas who've known me for 10 years. They've never seen me wear shorts. 4 years ago when we all took our kids to the beach, I wore a big mumu and refused to take it off. I was so unhappy in my body. I was obsessed with dieting and couldn't seem to get control. Sad. I am so happy now. I love food and have zero concern that I'll lose control. HDE means that if you eat a lot one day, you just naturally are less hungry the next day. My body's hunger signals are perfect and I can trust them. If I get anxious or stressed, I can handle it and not need to bury myself with food. This is ultimate freedom and I wish it for all women who have been where I was for too many years
