You know, I realized a couple of months into JUDDD that I hadn't had a headache recently. And I can't remember the last time I had one that required any Advil or Excedrin. I may have a slight one every now and then, but it goes away before I can even think about it much. LC never did that for me, but JUDDD did. Ever since hitting puberty, I've had regular headaches, so this is a great side-effect! Congrats!

I can't think of any NSVs to crow about. However I wanted to stop by and tell you all how encouraging it is to read about everyone else's!

Pat: You amaze me! You skinny little thing! Size 12's so awesome. I wanna go there...

Also, I no longer get headaches ever. It's so cool. Must be a great side effect of JUDDD or of just dropping weight. Oh, that must be my NSV too!

My horrendous headaches happen infrequently now. I give all the credit to JUDDD!

Great NSVs everyone!

I can agree with that. I have Lymes so I get awful headaches from time to time, but they have been far less prominent since I started JUDDD.

I always say how much I love this thread. Definitely my fave!

That's so true about the belt buckle Kati. Congrats by the way! Carol is so right because putting the seat belt on is something we do daily and we don't even give ourselves the credit when it starts getting a little looser so kudos to you.

Another one is the seat belt on airplanes. Last year when I was having my melt down and started putting on weight again I remember getting on the plane to come home after my sister's funeral. I thought, "Oh NO!!! Here we go again."

Meaning, I had to scrunch the belt and suck in my gut to buckle it and I only had an inch or two left over after tightening it.

My NSV is that flying to Hawaii, I had probably 6-8 inches left over and my butt was not hanging over the side of the seat. kwim?

I'll be flying on Southwest airlines this weekend when I go to visit my grand sons in southern CA. I've noticed that their seats are bigger and the seat belts much longer than other carriers. Always makes me feel good! Plus I'm now rid of the 6 pounds I gained in Maui. That was obviously mostly water weight because it came back off so quickly.

My DH complained that he had gained 4 pounds. I told him it was partly the humidity in the islands. My skin looked gorgeous, but I think it's because it sucked in all the moisture.

I'm drying out in California now. (drying out. sounds like some kind of re-hab.). But really, my skin all over looks so glowing when I'm someplace humid. Even when I'm in PA. Back here in dry, sunny CA I have to slather on the moisturizer several times a day or my legs look like aligator skin.

Sorry for the long post! I'm rambling, huh?

Wonderful! Like Lisa says, those every day, mundane things are life-changing. Life can be so exhausting when you're carrying around extra weight, and every little thing is such as effort.

Yam-Yam, you crack me up! You're so right about the plane seatbelts. I felt so humiliated having to ask for an extender. Awful. And oh, how I agree about the dry skin. Living in the desert works great for my curly hair (no frizz) but not so great for my skin. I've started dry brushing again, and that seems to be calming the dryness a bit. Maybe it's just because I'm sloughing off all the dead stuff. But I feel soft and velvety all over.

Now who's rambling....

Ramble on, my Girl! I love it! I have curly/frizzy hair too. And yes, right after moving to CA over 40 years ago I was delighted with the no-frizz effect of dry weather.

This time in Hawaii I let my hair go wild. We were either in the ocean or the pool every day. So I would just wash it, spray Biolage milk shine conditioner on it and let it curl and frizz. DH loved it and commented often that I looked so cute and "island-dee" whatever that means.

My NSV....(if I may )

All my pants (every single one of them) are too big for me!!!

I pulled out a pair that I tried on a few months ago and got mad cuz they didn't let me breath. They are now loose on the waist and even more loose in the bootay! (I have no arse to begin with so that makes me want to cry a lil...LOL )

Not really...

<-- That was there from before I do try to eat low carb on my up days (with fruits tho). Down days, I don't really care about the carbs too much so long as I'm within my calories on down days, I don't mind the carbs (did that make sense? )

Makes total sense. I started out aiming for 50 carbs or less per day, but in truth even without eating bread, crackers, rice, or potatoes I still exceed 150 carbs some days just from veggies and a fruit, or nut butter or whatever.
I aim for LC options, but I don't think I am technically "low carb". If I order a burger - its bun less. But I have no problem eating a fruit and yogurt parfait for instance.
Yesterday for an UD I had some potatoes and really enjoyed them. Still they are definitely a "not a regular attraction" on my plate by any means.
