Awesome NSV's everyone--love that you found out you're even slimmer, Lisa. I know that had to be a bright spot in a sad day.

Kyla, that is amazing too that you are comfortable in your work clothes! I too always change when I come home, but my clothes are much more comfortable now too.

I wore a side tie blouse today with some black slacks, and got many compliments. One of my co-workers said, "You can really tell that you're losing more weight." I haven't lost anything in ages, LOL!!! And I'm not really in smaller sizes either, but it still felt good.
Umm err, I have had 2 weekends in a row with 3 UDs in a row in them...this does not speak well with the evil scale, nor the cute pants! Trust me! I need EOD rotations for a reason!!!

WOOHOOOO on the complements today, gf! You are cute as a button!!!

Always lovely to get compliments, Cindy. And I'm sure you looked wonderful in that outfit!

While washing my hands today I glanced at myself in the mirror and realized my upper abs are looking flatter. I've been waiting and waiting for that!

Carol, I'm not surprised with all the exercise you've been doing!!

I realized this morning that I actually have dropped a size since I first got to this weight. I was in 16s and am in 14s (dress pants) now.

Cleaned out my closet and went through the "don't fit" boxes over the weekend. Now, everything in my closet fits me, and I have a huge pile of clothes for Goodwill. My size 6's are space-bagged and waiting patiently under my bed for the next drop!

Cindy, I guess you're right, the exercise really is paying off. Now, if only my LOWER abs would cooperate. Maybe they're next!

WTG on losing a size!!! You know, sc**w the scale number, as long as the size number is getting smaller! Very very happy for you!

Scarlett, wow! That's awesome. And size 6s as a next stop - beautiful!

Last night I was talking to a friend in her 20s who looks like a Victoria's Secret model. She was wearing this great bohemian skirt that I love. I complimented her on it. She said, "I thought of you when I put it on. It's getting too tight for me and I thought I should give it to you." She thinks I'm smaller than she is! Sometimes, I guess, we just can't see it.

I am on vacation. I got out of the shower this morning and instead of yoga pants and the biggest t-shirt I could find, I put on jeans and a sweater. I am curled up with a big cup of coffee and Inspector Morris, comfy as can be.

The bad news is it is 9:30 on a DD and I am hungry.

Sounds cozy. And being able to curl up in jeans is a special treat. Sometimes jeans just don't cooperate with curling. Congrats!

Oh! I know what you mean! One of the things that motivated me to lose weight was my two stomachs .... the upper pooch and the lower pooch. It was hard to find clothes that looked good with the upper pooch . I've noticed recently that the upper pooch of my stomach is nearly gone ... maybe an inch to go. The lower part is next!

Cindy, so excited about your dropped size! That is MUCH more important than the scale number!

Congratulations to all the BUDDDs wearing smaller sizes!

Oh yeah, the two stomachs! I never thought of it that way, but yes! It sounds like we're in just about the same place. Love it!

Chris, awesome on trimming your upper abdomen! I have always found that the fastest to trim and it definitely makes a difference in your overall appearance.

WTG Kyla on losing 17 lbs!! That does make a big difference, and I'm sure that *many* people are noticing.

I'm finding jeans to be a wonderful motivator. When I got started on JUDDD in late January (after many months of just being unhappy with my weight) a couple months ago I somehow got fascinated with all the advice online on buying denim and how certain looks and certain brands were more flattering than others. After I'd made just a little progress I started trying on jeans in stores (and my seventeen-year-old size 0 daughter got into it as well and gives me advice and takes butt photos for me). And while I realized that at any weight I've ever been I look better in well-fitting pants than I do in shapeless pants, I'm finding the reward of being able to slip into a slightly smaller size than last week a big thrill.

Since I'm not going to lose a huge amount more before my May 7 trip (and I might gain some back while there--so I can't pack all or mostly skin-tight), I'm going ahead and buying jeans now--at secondhand stores and discount stores. It's such fun--I've got some "skinny jeans," now that I finally figured out that this refers to how they fit at the ankle rather than anything else, although I really prefer straight-legged--and right now I'm wearing some perfectly black size 28 Citizens of Humanity straight-legged jeans that are to die for. I'm trying to wear boots with heels more, which also helps.

I strongly recommend going ahead and buying some nice-fitting jeans "on the way," so to speak. Whatever stage in your weight loss you're at, if you don't have any well-fitting pants, go out to your secondhand store or your discount store, or try on Ebay, spend $10-20 and have one pair that makes you look your best. Then be happy when those start getting loose and you can go back to the store and buy a new pair.

I have given up. I think I just need to invest in some good shapewear because the twin tum tums are never going away. I still measure 29"-30" around my guts, for crying out loud! Ridiculous!!! (my hips and boobs are barely more than my guts!) At least I'm in good company with your beautiful self, Miss Carly!

Wow, size 28s!!! You go girl!!!!!!!

Shapewear does wonders with the double tummy and smoothing the loose skin.
