Starting UD Tomorrow means UD T-Giving and UD Christmas

I sat down with my calendar as I was reading this board and being SOLD on this WOE and realized starting with my UD on Monday means both holidays will be Up days....I think I like that...

I have been a off and on LCer for a while and have lost about 5 pounds since starting back up but am bored and like this idea better for long term.

I will likely keep it on the low carb side but am glad I can include stuffing on my Thanksgiving plate if I want to...Who Else is starting on with UD on Monday?

Awesome that the holidays fall on UDs for you! I will add, though, that had they NOT fallen on UDs, (as holidays will, no doubt, from time to time be on DDs) you can just do 2 UDs or switch up your rotations beforehand if you need to. I love this plan. It's so flexible! You really can (and I DO!) make every holiday an UD. Welcome again to you!!!

Today is my DD, so both holidays will be DD...
Not a biggie, I'll just do 2 MD between now and next Thursday. Probably Sat and Sun.

Yes, I had wondered about that and it may come to that for a birthday or such down the road, I am really excited about this WOE and how it means I don't have to find a tasty alternative to some of my favorite Holiday dishes because some things you just can't "un carb" if you know what i mean...

You are going to love JUDDD Slimindisguise. And it isn't too hard to alter rotations now and then if you need to.

Yes!
As long as you normally do your best to stick to rotations, JUDDD is extremely forgiving of the occasional digression (or two ).
JUDDD rocks.

slimindisguise. Very cute name, and also your avi - you are so cute!

Everyone is absolutely right - it's really nice when holidays/celebrations come on UDs, especially when you're just starting out. But when they don't being flexible is so easy. JUDDD allows for so much flexibility. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Thanks for the words of wisdom! So far I have had 1 Tablespoon HWC in my coffee for my DD have a 125 calorie shake and a chobani plain for later...Question... I have seen many people on different posts elude to the fact that they after their DD they will eat later on their up day to go longer before "breaking their fast" ....is this suggested? I have not made it to the Library to look for the JUDDD book but thought I would ask the experts here.

I usually do wait to eat on both days until lunch or later, with just coffee/HWC in the mornings. I have never been a big breakfast eater, and so this is just my natural rhythm. It does extend the fast, and helps me save my calories for later in the day, when I naturally want more anyway. Works for me!

I am just like Carol. I am just not a breakfast eater as a rule. But extending the fast is a good idea if you are comfortable doing it.

While many do it this way, it's not a hard and fast rule. You need to do whatever will make it sustainable. I ate breakfast on UDs all through WLM, and skipped breakfast only on DDs. Now that I'm in maintenance, I eat breakfast every single day. It works for me. When I start restricting "too" much, I get the defeatest attitude and throw in the towel.

Dr. Johnson says in his book that holidays are Up Days, regardless of your schedule. (But only big ones--no going crazy on Arbor Day!) And so is YOUR birthday, but not everyone else's.

That's cute, Sirtain! I read the book, but I don't remember him saying that!
