I wasn't hungry...until I just WAS. Looked around the house, nothing healthy to snack on. What do I do? Rummage through the closet looking for the leftover Halloween candy. I tried one of those new M&M candy bars. It was good, but as much as I love chocolate, I do not early in the day. I feel blucky. Bring on chili or something yummy for lunch. Bluck!

Dinner will be the chicken noodle soup & corn bread muffins I made for everyone else's dinner last night. So at least lunch & dinner should be healthy.

Pork today! Smoked chops with eggs for breakfast, sausage for lunch, and regular chops or ribs for dinner. Some spinach and sweet potatoes, too.

I was afraid of supermarket sushi, but I had some a few months back and it was delicious!

Yep, it's not super adventurous, but they usually make it fresh and I think it's a fine option.

Sirt-- can I come over? I love pork day!

Melinda-- you can come and bring the cornbread muffins!

I make cornbread for thanksgiving, since I use it for the stuffing. I really should make it more often... I think I like it almost as much as biscuits!

Where's Dawn?!? I just had my first Banh Mi!

was today's special at the caterer/lunch counter in my work building (there's a reason I don't come in that often )

small baguette
2 pieces grilled chicken breast
cilantro pesto
pickled Asian veggies (daikon, carrot..)
and then he panninied the whole thing (I feel it's not supposed to be hot?)

I wasn't sure how to count it, so I looked up banh mi and it gave me 1 option (from sodexo's partnership with star ginger...) at 410.

and I had a tomato/roasted garlic soup, 100.

OMG, I'm so full now!

Bahn Mi is definitely delicious! I've only had it once, but there are several places right around here that have it, and I need to try them all.

I'm here. Love my Banh Mis! I get the one with pork cold cuts and pate (not sure how to add accents). OMG, so good. I've tried a few places and usually the meat is cold but they grill the baguette and it's warm. My place uses just a little meat and goes heavy on the daikon and carrots. My calorie app puts it at 300 calories, and I think that's fairly close, but I'm not sure how much meat yours had. I also add tons of Sriracha.

I don't usually eat breakfast, or not a high calorie breakfast, but today was an exception. I had to skip lunch, so that I could eat something tonight lol. I feel hungry, so maybe I had more time to burn off breakfast that I would have if I had just eaten lunch (and then dinner).

For dinner, I'm picking up a rotisserie chicken and making stuffing and some kind of beans or peas, with dinner rolls or biscuits.

So I'm having White Castle tonight for dinner. I am so ashamed to admit that yet sitting here salivating at the thought of White Castle at the same time. I have only had some fruit and a yogurt today because I'm saving my calories even though I'll clearly go over. Eeek, but so worth it.

Back to basics

B: 3 bacon and two fried eggs, 2 mugs coffee with HWC

L: Fried fresh rock fish (Dh caught it) olives, pepperoncini,
diet soda, dab of mayo for the fish and 1/2 c. chili rellenos
LC casserole.

Some time this evening before 8 p.m. I will want something.
It will probably be either a tin of smoked kippers with mustard or
a small Italian salami omelet with mozzarella.

2 mugs of relaxing tea with HWC.

Everyone's food sounds yummo to me.
I have to thank the lord that I do not have a bahn mi or a
Popeye's chicken available. It's difficult to say no to Vietnamese
egg rolls but bahn mi would be impossible.

I would like to try Bahn Mi. Seeing you all talk about it prompted me to find out if we have a Vietnamese restaurant. We do, but I called and asked if they had Bahn Mi and they said they didn't serve sandwiches. I had to tell the (American sounding) girl what it was. She said, oh, we don't sell sandwiches.

LOL, you guys are a hoot to hang out with!

Not all Vietnamese places do them... the place near me is just pho and stuff.

Popeye's is like a 1x or 2x a year thing, I'm pretty happy not to have them closer (the one relatively close to me closed) also!

I am probably waaaaaay over on calories, but all the bad stuff is gone (including my homemade macaroni mac&cheese, thankfully) except the cake.
Which is clearly for breakfast on Saturday

I've never had white castle! I know the concept, and I feel that I've had tiny square burgers, but I don't think they were white castle (???)

All I can say right now, is BRING ON DD bc I totally just want some tea and feeling light!

S.

Had my yogurt for breakfast and DD took me to a Vietnamese place for lunch so totally stuffed myself there, LOL. Dinner ended up being a couple slices of frozen California Kitchen pizza and I'm now enjoying a glass or two (or three, who's counting?) of pinot grigio. I have no idea where I'm at with calories, but I'd be surprised if I'm not over.

You call that gorging? Unless you're not listing everything you ate, that doesn't look like much to me. I had a breakfast sandwich, hashbrowns, flavored coffee--no lunch (because I was over 1000 already!), then baked chicken, mushroom rissoto and green peas, with 1.5 biscuits. THEN 4 glasses of wine, and then about 1 cup of ice cream and ended at 2600 approximately. I didn't feel like I overate at all, but still 800+ over my UD cals.

I tend to be more like you, Cindy. And let me say, after 4 glasses of wine you only ate 1 cup of ice cream? WOW am I impressed. After a few drinks, I feel like "what the heck" and would probably have a heaping bowl.....or more.

And how stupid is it that, that 1 cup of ice cream is TWO servings, according to the package. HA!

LOL!!!! I could never eat JUST a cup of ice cream after wine. I ended up munching on an Akins chocolate bar with my wine.

Besides the wine, I definitely don't think I gorged, it just feel like it sometimes on UDs. I think my body kinda likes the DDs. I guess that's a good thing, right?

Tammy, it's fantastic that your body likes the DDs. I feel like mine does too. I usually have a really good physical feeling after a good DD.
