stuck?

I hit 130lbs on 11/1. It is now 11/12 and I am still 130. I go between 132 on UD to 130 on DD. I had 1 UUAD where I reached 134lbs (11/4). Am I doing something wrong? I am still doing 500 cals on DD. Should I lower it? My UD are 1844 and I am pretty good at staying there.

Thoughts?

I guess I'd start with going to 400 or so on DDs and leaving your UDs alone. The goal we all have is to be able to preserve our ability to have plenty on UDs. Doing this will save you 1200 to 1600 calories per week and should add up to getting some new losses.

You're very close to goal aren't you? It could just be that your body is fighting to keep those last few pounds.

I am 1800-2000 UD & less than 300 most DDs (although I do allow for 500-600 if I need them) and am maintaining between 125-128 at those numbers. I am pondering whether to reduce UD numbers some to lose some more, but really like having the calories I do, so may not do that until after the holidays (if at all). In your situation, since you are still at 500 cal DDs routinely, I'd lower DDs first (if you can) and see what happens. I like high UDs. Keep us posted, ok?

ETA: I have to say, though, when I first started Juddd, I remember having 11 days or so where I would just go up and down the same 2-3# before a whoosh would come along. You may have one tomorrow at your current numbers. It's such a guessing game!

Your UD number actually seems high to me for WLM. I'm 5'9", weigh quite a bit more than you, and mine's only around 1750. (I eat more than that, but I'm in maintenance now). Maybe you could recalculate without exercise and see what you get.

I'm sure the calculator number is much lower for WLM, but 1850 worked for ME all through WLM. Of course, I was a lot heavier starting out, but never reduced. (as you know)

Colleen, you lost initially at your numbers, though, right? I forget and can't tell what you started at in your stats.

ETA: I get 1589/318 with no exercise & 20% WLM plugging in stats from your avi.

That's probably it. When I started I was 138. Going down to 130, I should have recalculated my numbers. It stands to reason that as I lose I would have to alter my calories.

Duh.

Well, it appears if I ever to decided to maintain 130, I have the correct formula :-)

Thanks ladies! Too late to change my UD, but I shall use the new numbers starting tomorrow.

And I'm a little scared. Looks like maintaining 120 well be very few calories! Yikes!

You can always go really low on DDs, if possible, and have more on UDs. For instance, if your DD calories are 300, you could cut it down to 200, and add 100 to UD. Also, eating strictly LC seems to allow people to eat higher calories. At least, in theory.

Yea, I am not sure I want 120 enough to reduce UDs while I am already so low on DDs. I'm probably good. Lol

Or, you could run every day and lift weights every other day, and then eat about what you want.

Seeing that your numbers should be 1578/316 it is awesome that you lost on 1800/500. I would gain like crazy eating those numbers on a regular basis.

It is like I've said before. It really depends what you are willing to do to lose and keep it off. I'm sure I could get to 115, but I'd have to work hard to stay there. I can stay t 124 with only 2 DDs per week at 250 or 300.

I've been doing EOD for the last week and half to help DW stick to plan. I'm eating a bit extra on UDs, but if I wanted to lose I could stick with 1550/300 and see some losses, but I'd rather enjoy an UD or 2 during the week and have 1700 if I want.

Yep, I think a lot of it is just trial and error. I guess I am really fortunate that I've not had to lower my numbers. I can still eat ALOT on UDs as long as I keep my DDs really low. I have to stick to EOD to do that, though, and DDs must be low. If they creep up, I will, too. LOL!

You'll figure it out, mafia!

Update. It's 4:30 and all I've had today is lots of water and one cup of coffee. So 60 calories. I think I am going to do 275 on DD and keep to 1800 on UD for awhile and see how that works. Honestly I would much rather get my DD super low and keep higher UD numbers if I can pull it off. also exercise on every UD. It's getting cold here (28 today!!!!) So treadmill it is. I will do this for at least a week and see what happens.

That's the spirit of JUDDD! Severe deprivation one day for the benefit of "normal" eating the next.
The lower you can go and not suffer, the better.
If you can do that, great! I'll be interested if this strategy gets you going again.

When I keep my down days low calorie/low carb and my up day calories between 1700-2000 I lose weight. In order to maintain I either eat more on my up days or have an extra up day. YMMV

Did anyone tell you how gorgeous you look?

You are doing well. You will get just the right amount. You have to
keep your spirits high to stay in the game. You will do it.

Thank you so much. That is very kind of you to say
I have lowered my DD'S quite a bit and I think that's the ticket for now. Gotta get my social life under control now so I stop have two UD'S in a row twice a week! Not good, I tell ya!!
