Delicious SF Creamer

At the risk of a frivolous thread (), I just have to report that SF Italian Sweet Cream is the bombdigity! One Tablespoon is 15 calories, and 2 (or 3) T is almost the equivalent of heavy cream in taste. I've tried a lot of SF creamers, and I don't even like regular flavored creamers anymore, but this one is really good. My next favorite is SF peppermint mocha, but it doesn't even compare in richness of flavor. Have you tried it?

ETA: And lest you say, LG, 3 T is almost the equivalent of HWC in calories too! I beg to differ. I like 2 T of HWC, and that is the comparison.

What brand is this bombdigity creamer?
I'm a real cream person, but I like some flavor on occasion.

I save it for DDs. My preference is real cream, but this is damn good for the calories. It's Coffee Mate.

I used the peppermint mocha last year and really liked it, but I use WAY too much. That might be why it was so good. I don't know what it tastes like if you use 2 tbs.

I have the SF peppermint mocha and used up my SF pumpkin spice.
I don't ever think I've seen the sweet cream in SF. The SF is hard to find at the grocery stores I go to, but I'll be looking for it.

Yep. I used the SF peppermint mocha alllllllllllll last fall/winter until they stopped making it for the season. I do love the SF Italian cream, too. However, I suspected they were making me sick and just went back to my skim milk last month. (and stopped getting sick, hmmm) I bought a bottle of the SF peppermint mocha when I saw it back in stock last week. Haven't risked it again yet, but will one of these UDs soon. (15 cals is more than my skim milk cals, so I always did skim on my DDs, SF creamer for UDs)

Enjoy them, though, girl! I won't try any other brands besides coffeemate ones. Wish they made MORE flavors in the SF!

You guys are really tempting me! Every time I buy one of these SF creamers (and the bottles are humongous, BTW!) I think it's okay, but not as good as my HWC. The flavors all really do sound tantalizing. Why don't they measure up for me???

Me too Lemontini. My coffeemaker is currently living at my mom's house - hers died. I use instant (it's Safeway's Café Casero, store brand of Nescafe Clasico - sooo good) every morning, but now that it's cooler I'll want more hot water for hot tea as well as my coffee, and broth too. So I better get on down to WMart soon.

I make my own
Easy flavored creamers, low carb and calories:
2 cups unsweetened almond milk + 1/4 cup half and half + 1/2-1 cup s/f syrup of your choice
I use monin o'free chocolate + 1-2tsp peppermint extract for the s/f peppermint mocha

Um yea. My carafe broke a few weeks ago. I ran immediately out to Target and bought a new coffee pot. Are you kidding me? I go through a pot every morning myself! MUST.HAVE.COFFEE.

I started making these when son is home because he will go through pints and pints of the sugary creamers if I don't

Great idea Dottie! I may try that, because I could make smaller amounts until I find my "perfect" formula.

Oh, I wonder what kind of sweetener is in this SF Coffee-Mate?
I won't use any other than Stevia... Do I need to make my own?

Stevia and extracts or "flavor drops" work well.
Most pre-made stuff will have a combination of sweeteners like splenda and ace K (or whatever).
I've never seen a commercially made one with stevia.

It says sucralose, but it also has that hydrogenated crap in there, so it's not the best thing for ya, for sure. Dottie's recipe for making your own is probably way healthier. (IMO)

I like HWC on UDs, but it's nice to have on DDs. I only drink 2-3 cups a day, so I allow the indulgence. I could never get accustomed to skim milk. I would rather drink it black lol.

Bought myself a cheapo coffee pot at Target, plus coffee (of course) and two of the sf creamers, Peppermint Mocha and Italian Sweet Cream. I'm currently enjoying the peppermint, it is soooo good! Gotta watch it on my DD's though, I can see where I could go way overboard with these.

Okay, on my second cup now, this time with the Italian Sweet Cream flavor. This is quite possibly the yummiest cup of coffee I've ever had. Going to have to cut myself off after this one though, the calories are going to start adding up too fast for a DD!

I wonder whar you could substitute for the 1/4 cup of HWC in the creamer recipe? I have to avoid ALL dairy because of migraine headaches. Believe it or not, just 2 Tbsp of any dairy in my coffee will trigger a migraine the next day.

Thanks for any tips!

Possibly whole coconut milk? (not the coconut milk "beverage").

Yes, this.

I get a can of Whole Foods coconut milk (WF doesn't separate), pour it in a glass bottle (an old salad dressing bottle) and add whatever I feel like to taste. Sf syrups work well, or vanilla extract and stevia is good too. Thick and delicious.

When I used to do JUDDD I used SF coconut milk in the carton in my coffee on DDs. So Delicious makes a SF vanilla sweetened with stevia that is good. Whole Foods (I don't work for them, honest) carries it in a 6 pack of little cartons, which are a good size because I have a hard time finishing the big carton if I am not on a smoothie kick.

I love the smell of a lot of the coffee creamers and love the smell of coffee but do not like coffee! I have tried to like it because the pick-me-up would greatly be appreciated and it smells so good! Any tips of becoming a coffee lover? My Grandma always tell me I'm not grown up because I don't like it. Haha.

One good thing is that you don't have to try and find a low calorie creamer.

NOOOO!!! Unless, of course, you don't need to be civil to anyone for awhile. It would get ugly fast around here without my coffee pot. I bet I had my new pot within 2 hours of cleaning up the broken carafe from my old one. DH did not say one word, either.
