Planning ahead for Friday Up Day

I'm leaving early tomorrow, so I won't be able to post or wing it. I need to get everything together tonight.

My plans are a hearty breakfast of turkey, eggs, and sweet potato in the morning before I go.

Bring along apples and peanut butter for a snack, and cooked lamb chops for lunch.

Hmmm, I need some vegetables in there. What to choose, what to choose? there's a cucumber in the fridge, but I'm not really feeling it. Ooh, aspargus. And maybe some carrots.

And I need to get myself to Whole Foods and pick up some maple sugar. That can't happen until next week, though.

Sirtain, do you travel for work? Where do you eat your prepared meals, and are you able to reheat them? Aren't I sooo nosy! It all sounds delicious, by the way! Maple sugar sounds yummy. Is it maple sugar candy, or granulated?

I don't have any plans yet. All I know for sure is that there will be coffee! :)

So is this the UP DAY post for today?

Here goes...

B - yogurt/toast 210c
S - protein granola 190c
L - salad with fixings 400c
D - pizza and WINE!

I have 1100c for dinner and such, I am sure I will use them all! 1900c

ladybarometer 11-08-2013 05:53 AM

B: Bagel and cream cheese and coffee (maybe)
Snack: Fiber Bar
Lunch: Wendy's Chili
Dinner: Not sure yet - it's date night! My choices are soup and salad at Olive Garden, Red Lobster for crab legs, or Chinese food (coconut shrimp, rice, and sauteed mushrooms and cabbage)

I don't know what I'm in the mood for really - no appetite for once!
Hope it stays that way...

Oh, the possibilities of the UD ahead! LB, your menu choices sound really good.

B: Coffee/HWC
L: ???
PreD: Cocktails, ham/creamcheese/scallion rollups
D: Bunless cheeseburger with the fixins
D: Honeycrisp apple with caramel dipping sauce

Target: 2000

I haven't a clue! I honestly find UDs harder than DDs, from a planning perspective!

guess I'll have to get on it, eh?
Ok, I'll hit the freezer(s) and see what I have for an UD-- I'm thinking maybe pork ribs if I can find them.

once I know dinner, I can plan my calories for the rest of the day.

I. Shall. Return!

I'm back :)

rib steaks for dinner

eggos for breakfast (found them in the freezer, left over from when I was eating weirdly during the renovation).

that's it for now :)

MaryEllenC 11-08-2013 07:40 AM

B: coffee w/cream & MCT oil, 3 slices bacon
L: Thai basil chicken, mini spring roll
D: dunno know yet

UD calorie amount is 1900 cals.

I still need to get in the groove with planning my UD. I do pretty good with pre-planning a DD but so far have left the UD to happen and then see how many calories I need to fill later in the day. Probably not a good idea?

Um, I already had 3 cookies for breakfast. :D

coffee, spinach & egg flatbread sandwich

L-frozen meal, something

D-Pizza maybe--Monica, you put that evil thought in my head! and wings, yeah!

Rebecca1979 11-08-2013 08:53 AM

So far today I've had

B:An everything bagel with 1 tab of light veggie cream cheese
L:Chicken and Dumplings,Homemade!
C:Chicken Wings with my son (Buffalo Wild Wings) I'll look at the menu online and see what they have!

I'm hoping this isn't and UUAD! I'm trying my darndest not to!

I usually have a light breakfast and lunch so that I don't really have to plan my dinner too carefully. We all have to find what works for us, but I like leaving plenty for dinner, then if I have extra calories I can ALWAYS fill in with wine or chocolate.

If you like the spicy/sweet combo, BWW has amazing mango habanero wings. :yummy:

I like to figure out dinner, usually my biggest meal, and the only one where I get to see DH, and work backwards from there.

especially if we're going out or celebrating something, I need to save calories for that (like, 1200-1600 for a meal?) and thus, I too wind up having a light breakfast and lunch.

What *really* winds up happening is I don't eat breakfast, and I have a pretty ok brunch/lunch
maybe a snack (100 cal or 200)
and then my dinner, including some sort of dessert (chocolate, ice cream, something usually)

all seems to work out :)

****************

so today follows the above pattern:

D: I found big rib steaks in the freezer (I think I might have a whole cow in there, in parts...) so that's like 750 cals for that.

B: wound up with-- 4 eggos (360, and so not worth it, I was still hungry. This continues to prove I need protein for breakfast)
sf syrup (0)
4 small slices of dark rye bread (140)
many T of light salmon cream cheese (protein! finally!)
vitamins
water
= 744 for breakfast

So, I'm going to not really have lunch-- maybe some veggie snacks or something light.

Need a veggie for dinner-- I think broccoli and I have leftover hollandaise sauce :)

Ended up with an egg sandwich and cottage cheese for lunch. Seem to not be able to convince myself to have salads on UD's lately! Partly because we had nothing really to put on it....such is!

325c for lunch instead of 400c....all the more room for PIZZA and WINE :jumpjoy:
