My interest is peaked! But I have some questions!

Can ya help me, please?

1. Those of you who eat LC on JUDDD, how and why?! I know this seems strange, but you count cals. Do you disregard fat? If you are intermittent fasting why would carbs matter?

2.On UP days do you have to eat ALL the cals recommended? Are fat or sodium another concern?

3.Can you stay on the induction phase for a long time? Say (hypothetically) your a lazy person and drinking a shake or eating a bar sounds fine for the rest of your life.

4. What if (horrifyingly) your DD is on a major holiday?! Something important! Like Thanksgiving!

I can't think of anything else!

Some choose to do low carb because they like the way it makes them feel, they feel it's healthier, or they're carb-sensitive or have other health concerns which make low carb a good choice for them. I don't do low carb and lose just fine.

Fat and sodium are not a concern unless your personal health issues make them a concern. JUDDD doesn't care WHAT you eat, just how much. It is recommended to eat up to your UD calories whenever possible to keep your metabolism going as efficiently as possible. Many of us find that if we don't eat up to those UD calories, we stall. There are some here who eat below their UD calories but they have documented metabolic issues and KNOW their BMR is lower than normal.

3.Can you stay on the induction phase for a long time? Say (hypothetically) your a lazy person and drinking a shake or eating a bar sounds fine for the rest of your life.

Totally up to you. Many of us never used the bars and shakes because we prefer more variety, but if that works for you, there's no reason to change it.

4. What if (horrifyingly) your DD is on a major holiday?! Something important! Like Thanksgiving!

There are ways to change your rotation so special occasions always fall on an UD, or you could do two UDs in a row without too much damage as long as they're not frequent.

I can't think of anything else!

You will love it. The only numbers that matter in JUDDD are calories. At first, it is slow go counting it all, but once you have your Standards figured, within a few weeks, it becomes really easy!!!

Welcome!!!!

I will say I love love love the LC/JUDDD combination! I could list a million reasons, but Dawn said it perfectly, people do it for a lot of different reasons and a lot of people lose weight great with JUDDD and not doing LC.

Looks like you've got a great attitude for a great start!!!
