Any way you can adjust your position with the weight distributed a little differently on your elbows (maybe turn your hands palm down if they aren't, or perpendicular to the floor if they are)? Sounds like a nerve compression issue.

Yes, I think so. I do think I held my arms slightly differently today, in preparation for having to hold it longer. I probably didn't do myself any favors there. I don't want to have to abandon the challenge, but I'm not going to hurt myself either. I also usually do the plank before any other exercise and I did it after my hour of hula hooping this morning. Couldn't imagine that would make a difference (HH is not that strenuous) but maybe it did. Thanks Dawn for helping me think my positioning through better.

Well...I'll be planked

Have you really looked at the "plankers" body?

She is a straight plank, not one itsy bitsy fat on her entire body.
First I get the body and then I try planking.

Hope every ones enjoys.

I'm doing this too. I do it first thing in the morning then repeat the same at night. Easier then the planks. I finish up with some donkey kicks as long as I am already on the floor and in position .

I've abandoned the Plank Challenge. I'll still plank a couple of times a week, but I'm going to skip it for the next week or so. Wednesday I finished my 120 seconds and my forearms and fingers had gone partially numb. They wouldn't grip properly for a few minutes, like I had no control over the muscles. That faded over the next hour or so. Yesterday after planking, it did it again, not so bad. This morning I could feel it happening again, so I just stopped. I'm not going to hurt myself or damage nerves doing this!

Good luck to all of you still doing this challenge. I really do think it does amazing things for core strength!

Carol I think you are very smart. Honestly, IMHO that plank challenge has you doing 1 plank for too long. Now, a set of 3 equallying those numbers, I can see!!!!
