xo hang in there, LG. motivation definitely ebbs and flows. The only bad thing you could do would be to give up. It's ok to waver! Just one day at a time girl!

Carly, if I didn't work in that department I'd agree with you. I think my rose colored glasses have been stepped on one too many times lately and I just can't do the benefit of the doubt anymore. I'm going to end up having to run the group anyway and I'll make it work.

I guess my other issue is I'm not big on self-disclosure within groups and I don't especially want to discuss my "transformation" with the clients since we've been working hard at helping our clients develop boundaries. So yeah good thing is we have curriculum and I'll just stick to it.
I can't add more than what the other JBs have said, but if is such a joy to see how well you are doing. I am sure clients will feel similarly, whether you mention it directly or not. Love to you girl!

Lisa, I understand why that made you mad. My own experience in the workplace has taught me that the stronger and more capable you are, the less overt encouragement you'll get, and more will be expected of you. When they see you as capable, they add workload and responsibilities. When they see you as strong, they don't think they need to cheer you on with encouragement and rah rah speeches. In the meantime, the weak and less capable seem to get treated with kid gloves and left alone with small workloads. BASS ACKWARDS! But it's the way of the world.

So basically, what I'm trying to say is, you're obviously one of the strong and capable ones! I'm proud of you!

Thanks all! Your comments made me want to punch people in the face a little less.

I'm going to cover one of the Health & Fitness because there's really no way around it and I'll make it work.

On a super happy note: I had my root canal this morning and I am feeling fantastic and HUNGRY. Now I have to think of a good dinner because I am so over soup.

The only thing that was annoying was driving 45 miles North during a semi-snow annoyance. People always seem to forget how to drive when the snow returns as though they haven't lived in NY their entire lives. It's going to be a loooong winter.

Stupid snow!!!! I know exactly what you mean, Lisa. We had ours last night around the evening rush home. (and my nightly drive to take the kids' to activities) I hate having to watch the weather to know just how much extra time I need before driving anywhere, too. {sigh}

Glad your root canal is OVER! (mashed taters, maybe? Mmmm)

Lisa I'm glad your root canal is over with!

It is going to be a long winter. The drive this morning was slow going and technically the snow wasn't sticking...

I walked by the window on my way to the shredder bucket and it was so cold!
Yikes! I'm getting ready to leave work and I've got to bundle up!

I'm prepared for my DDs for the rest of the week. I'm making cabbage soup tonight, finally. No more whining and gnashing of teeth from me for a while.

Lisa, I'm glad you got your tooth fixed. I know that is a relief--not to mention eating real food again!

Northish JBs, sorry you're having to deal with snow! We wish for that problem sometimes.

Thanks, Rebecca! I knew I left something out! -->runs to add onion soup mix.

ETA: I didn't really measure anything, except the tomato juice, and it looks thick enough to eat with a fork! lmao

Maybe it will help alleviate some of the tiredness and achiness, Carly, as much as it seems like it might do the opposite. Be careful, and enjoy if you do decide to bite the bullet and do it.

I just did a calorie run-down of my cabbage soup, and probably overestimated the cabbage calories, and everything else was packaged except the onion. It comes in at 490 calories for the whole pot! It's at least 20 1-cup servings. Yay!

Rebecca, do you add the soup mix before adding water? I am trying to figure out how it would make it burn? I added mine last, but only because I forgot! (THANKS) I would have added it in the beginning but not without water/broth.

I did 2.45 miles in 15:35 minutes. No awards for speed, but it did help the achiness in my toes. The rest of me will be screaming in a bit.

This weekend I may try to make a big pot of soup. Storage is an issue for us. We have an apartment sized fridge with a freezer that is awfully small and already crowded. I probably only have room to freeze a quart. I'm not sure if it will be worth my effort.

I forgot to get freezer bags, so I don't have any way to store the soup, other than the fridge for now. I'll get some tomorrow. Carly, you can put the soup in the gallon or half gallon bags (big enough so they're almost flat) and store it that way without needing too much room.

I'm glad you had a good workout, and I hope it doesn't affect you negatively later!

The stuff I used in place of the onion soup mix.......

My usual gorgeous pot roast is layered ingredients (onions, carrots, meat, seasoning, onion soup mix(on top of meat), and pour one cup of fluid (I used wine or beer) in my crock pot for 10 hours.

It burned today, because I cook it for 10 hours (ALWAYS) and this stuff is only meant for 4 hours.

Soo agitated!

Ooooh, I can see how that would happen, Rebecca. I hope you still had enough edible roast to eat! I thought you were referring to the cabbage soup. LOL, it still alerted me that I had forgotten to add the onion soup mix.

Oh, no! Sorry to hear about your tooth! At least you still have coverage.

TOM arrived again today, but at least this time I made it 19 days. For the 4x before that the longest I'd gone was 12 days but as little as 6 days.

Carly, TOM arrives at 6-12 day intervals?!? For real???

I was surprised when I saw your post !!
I have had Raynauds for years!! Hypothyroidism also!!
Do you ever get the feeling like u have ice in your veins instead of blood?? Seriously !!!
I was put in the hospital over 50 years ago with gangrene in my hand!!! They then explained I had to keep warm and so on!!
So many health issues over the years and it's hard to explain to others!
My doctor said a lot of people have it in finger toes and ear lobes but that mine is in my whole system??
It is hard for me to walk up a lot of stairs or move legs in ways that cut off my circulation !! I can walk forever but aerobics r off limits!!!
One thing that caught my attention was pic of your hand because one of my fingers looked that way last wk! There wasn't a nodule tho?? One time my elbow was like that?? OMG!!!

I am sorry....

We all have these 'challenges' with our health. Bodies that don't work
the way we think is 'normal'....

I have to get a tooth implanted slap dab in the front. My first visit is in
a week. We are retired and do not have dental insurance. I commiserate
with you, but feel glad that you have some insurance.

One of my bestest friends has Raynaud's. We were always trying to find things
that would help her. We found little pads that you place in the microwave,
heat them up and put them in your pockets for walking and keeping those
hands warm. In those days I was always red hot and she was cold so we
had to make adjustments to be together

Carly, I have a very good friend (I call her daughter #3) and she has
that type of erratic TOM'S. Not only way too often but so heavy she cannot
go out of the house for several days. She is discussing having a hysterectomy
as a remedy for this. I really feel for you. Does Dr. have any advice?
Also do headaches come along with this? She does have a doozy.

You know what's great? We have each other, this board to confess our
positives and negatives and always understanding and forgiveness.
I also personally have a spiritual Savior, and a heavenly Father and Son.

Good low carb UP day and new start. One day at a time.
DD tomorrow will be LC.

Barbo, yes I bleed heavily and get very fatigued. I don't have the option to not leave the house since my job would not be please if I was out 2-3x per month.

I agree that this board and LCF is a great place to come and share

My sympathies, Carly. I hope you can figure out some way to deal with it, if not regulate it. Would BC pills help?

I'm in a hurry this morning, and also took the time to walk the dogs, so I really need to rush--just wanted to say good morning to all, and to those who need it!

Good morning Cindy and all JBs.

BC would probably help, but I want to try to get pregnant soon so that is not a good plan right now.

I'm pretty much used to it at this point.

OMG!!!
Just need to share!! Also I get cold all of the time Down comforter all year!!since I take thyroid meds I don't get ice in veins feeling very often !!
Wendy! I do sometimes feel that I have ice running through my veins. It's not a pleasant feeling. I was diagnosed with Raynaud's at 15 years old, but it never really gave me problems until the last year or so. Since then I've had several ulcerated chilblains, and have been referred to a surgeon, but I don't want to go! Aerobic activity actually seems to help with me while I'm doing it, but once I cool down, I get worse flares, and I've wondered if it's related. How interesting that someone else has similar issues (not that I'd wish them on anyone, but it's nice not to feel so alone!).

The nodules don't show up on the pictures very well, but I have them. I usually get the nodule first, then swelling and discoloration around it, then it just grows from there.

We've had several warm days the last week or so and I'm still having issues, but not as bad. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story!
