Good morning everyone!
Man, oh man is it cold! The temperature dropped almsot 30 degrees compared to yesterdays temperature this time of morning. It's hard to workout this time of year, because who wants to leave the nice warm blankets?

I don't mind sharing this, because my BF isn't apart of the site, but he has gained some weight in the two years we've been together. He's 5'5, and had gone from 135ish to the middle 150s - he blames my cooking Well, yesterday, at work, he split the seat of his pants after squating down to grab something out of the cabinet (he gains in his thighs, butt, and a little in his stomach) So he has decided to start working out again, and cutting his carbs. When he does this, he drops weight QUICK, which as all men, makes him a jerk! How dare he lose weight so effortlessly!

Anyways, although I find it horribly discouraging when he has no problem with weight loss, it's going to help me in that I now have a workout buddy AND somewhat of a diet buddy - so yay!

Ooh, that must have been embarrassing for him! It is good that you'll now have a diet/fitness buddy, moreso than before. Teamwork!

Hello
I'm around, just completely overwhelmed with family stuff.

I wanted to pop in and invite the JUDDD budds to post recipes on the new form LCF added.
The site is not a "one trick pony" and there are a lot of plans now, many of which don't fall under the "strict" low-carb banner at all.
So the management here graciously added a recipe and menu forum for non-low-carb recipes to share with the members who may not be on "low carb" as a strict rule.

Thanks for the link, Dottie! Sounds great!

Okay, my tech savvy friends. I have changed my profile picture, but it's not showing up on my posts? I changed the size and it's within the parameters, but ?? Any suggestions?

I was here doing well with everyone support but then my sister came for a night and didn't leave.. She and BF broke up and I took her in for a few nights which turned into 2 weeks..Well we had to finally "move" her out ourselves,, she super mad at me,, but at least she is out and the stress is going down.. (very long story) so I am having a DD today and hope to keep them coming..

Brenda, I'm sorry the sister incident turned into such an ordeal. And I'm sorry she's so mad at you, but hopefully she'll soon see that she was leaning a bit too much on you and needs to find her own way. Oh, family stuff is just so complicated!

Welcome back, and I'm sure you'll be back in the groove starting now.

I have this fishbowl that I'm peering in lol. I promise I'll take another picture soon, and hopefully smiling without crossed eyes. Who knew selfies were so difficult?

I had an embarrasing thing happen about an hour ago. I came home and the trashcan was in the driveway blocking my path, so I stopped the car and moved it to the side of the house (it was trash pick up day). On my way back to the car, bf came outside and I knew he was watching me so I started strutting a little lol, and next thing I knew I was flat on my face on the cement. Ooooouuuuucccchhhh!

After a great UD yesterday, I had a very stressful evening. I got home about 10:00 and wanted to eat. I'd had all my calories (2000) but wanted some sugar, so I had several candy corns - about 90 calories worth. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV and wanted something more. I was feeling pissed and hurt, and I got the jar of PB out and was standing there in the kitchen with it and a spatula. I was literally getting ready to dip in when I stopped. I stood there for probably a full two minutes just looking at that jar of PB and how there was probably 500-700 calories of it left in that jar, which I fully intended on licking clean.

And I put the spatula away, put the lid on the PB, and got a Fresca out of the fridge. I'm not sure I've ever gotten that close to blowing it and being able to stop. WOW, that's a revelation. I made a decision for me. Not the stressed out I wanna eat me, but the me who wants to lose this weight and be healthier.

I'm not posting this for the pats on the back and the encouragement that I know my wonderful JBs will shower me with. I'm posting this so that anyone else who struggles with these kinds of feelings can see that it IS possible to bypass the urge, even when you're THIS CLOSE to putting it in your mouth. I never knew that before! It was HARD! But I have to say, the feeling of strength and power it gave me felt really really good.

I totally know that this is a super awesome revelation. I hope the stress and hurt is passing, but if not, I know you feel proud of not giving into the "screw its" and eating what you did not plan.

Thank you for sharing, Carol. It is continuous journey that involves way more than just counting calories and losing the weight. Knowing I can come here and share, and reading what others share, has been the best part.

The last part of what I bolded is usually exactly what I'm thinking when those moments happen!

Good job LCG - it is hard and especially when you have strong emotions going on, just makes it harder.

I'm so glad you were able to push through.

Well, I am very sore from my fall yesterday. I made light of it here and on FB, but it was a very hard fall and I was bleeding from my hands and knee. Bf had to help me off the street where I fell, because I couldn't get up on my own. My hands are all scratched up, elbow, knee and somehow today, my pelvis is sore. I'm actually aching all over, and I know it was from yesterday. Trying to relax the rest of the day and take ibuprophen...sucks that it's a DD too lol.

Oooooh, OUCH Cindy! That is no fun. I'll bet it hurts, not only the impact, but the jarring of your whole body. Take it easy and just rest and recover. Maybe tomorrow on UD you can have some comfort food.

Here is my update! It's from my WLJ. =)

Today is my 3rd down day! I made myself a slimfast shake with peanut butter(it's the fancy kind with coconut oil mixed in! SOO yummy!) for a late lunch and I'm make another one (with banana) for dinner. I think I'll add my Davinci's Peanut Butter syrup to it.. Finally have a reason to open it! =) It's got sugar in it, but I won't get crazy with the ammount. I ordered it months ago when I was DIE HARD LCing... I thought I bought SF PB... JOKE was on me!

I shopped today and got myself some SOdelicious Coconut Egg nog(I'm obsessed with coconut milk lately!) and SF caramel macchiato creamer! Buying coffee is TOOO rich for my pockets!

Back to JUDDD! I'm super happy I started this woe! I can ALREADY feel my body changing, my fat composition is different! My self esteem is heightened.. I feel in control of food. That is a freeing feeling.. It's something I always try to achieve! I HATE when food wins!

I've found that if I have a DD go to, that's simple and yummy, I'm stress free. When you go into battle with NO game plan, you are set up for failure. Well at least I am in this type of situation!

ALSO getting on the boards and talking(typing) it out. Being honest with the boards and my self help a lot.

Poor LG!!! I'm so sorry you had such a horrible fall and are hurting so much.

LCG, what a fabulous post! I am so tickled you were able to withstand the evil spatula & PB combo!!! It's hard when we're stressed out. You did it, though!!!!
