Oh My Gosh

Carly that is a lot to deal with. You are victorious and stayed on your plan,
which means you have turned over an old habit into your positive new
life's plan. Stress eating NO NO NO.

Cindy, are you having some sugar withdrawals? Don't let that 'barrel' imprint
on you. You ARE looking hot. Having the new clothes and staying OP you
are a winner.

I don't know you all, but I do identify with you all.

When I was 18 years old and overweight, I asked the doctor, who had just
given me a basil metabolism test. 'How long will I have to be on this
800 calorie diet'? He said FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! That imprinted my
brain in a very negative way. Now I am 80 years old and guess what?
He was right. flying their newbie wings.

Remember on rotation....tomorrow is another day......

Welcome back to all who are

Thank you, Barb. You are so kind, and I think you're doing well with JUDDD. We all have to keep experimenting to find the best way to live comfortably while also losing.

I also wanted to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your friend.

Try to put it out of your mind and replace it with some positive comment. These kind of things can really drag us down.

You are doing wonderfully OVERALL, and that's what matters, not one rotation, or one glance in the mirror!

Sometimes being on a plan just gets old, LG. It's a lot of work constantly thinking about what you're doing, why you're doing it, focusing on nothing but food and expecting yourself to stay away from it. Blah! Just be kind to yourself. You are a different person completely than you were almost ONE YEAR AGO when you started Juddd!!! So what if you're having a few UDs? It really doesn't make any difference in the bigger scheme of things. You know this! Just get on that DD Monday, if that's your plan, and BE OK WITH TAKING A FEW DAYS OFF. Some people need that more than others. Who cares? You will get where you want to be...in the mean time, enjoy your life and try to be positive about yourself. You've accomplished so much this year! XOXO Love you oodles Chiquita!!!

PS: You are my hero even trying LC again. You know how well that fared with me...every time. {sigh}

LC is not for everyone. Myself included. I have done it in the past- sometimes successfully, but usually not. Just get back to rotations and if you watch those UD calories I just know you will start to lose.

Maybe put little sticky notes in a few places that you go everyday and put the UD and DD number that would be ideal. Also write what the upper limit you would accept for example:
1800 (1950)/ 330 (500)

And when you see the little sticky notes you can ask yourself how your doing and what you need to do to stick with which ever number you re aiming for. IDK... whatever you choose you can make it work!

Cindy, forget that whole incident. It's not what's real. What IS real is all the compliments you've been getting, the new clothes and dresses looking so good, getting checked out by guys.

Regarding LC being tough for you - and this is just a thought - I noticed you were still indulging in SF sweets while doing LC. I wonder if that was enough to keep your carb cravings and your sweet tooth active. I've done LC both ways in the past - with SF sweets, and just totally going off any sweetening of any kind. I always know I lost better without the sweets, and I could get those cravings out of the way better too.

It might be part of it, Carol. However, I will not do any kind of diet without treats--and I don't see an extra piece of meat or cheese as a treat. I'm going to continue to limit sweets and sugar, and just try and stick to my calories. Making sweeping statements about what I will and won't do is going to have me hanging my head in shame over and over.

Thanks Everyone for the support, encouragement, and suggestions. It means so much to have you all here. I couldn't do it without you!

Driving Middlest back down to college today. Looking forward to eating some ribs and turnip greens at Black-Eyed Pea again. Those were tasty.
Then tomorrow, I am tackling a big sewing project, getting some bags finished for a craft fair on Friday.

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday morning and I have loads of work to do once I get to work. I woke up hungry which is not my norm. Held off till 8am (got up at 5:15am) and then had half a croissant.

I hope I won't regret eating early in the day (it is an UD, but I never eat this early). I wonder if TOM is coming back again... I've been feeling PMSish, but I've had TOM so much the last 2 months I just have no clue when it may drop by.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Carly! I hope your work day goes smoothly. At least with a lot to do, the day flies by. I'm like you, rarely hungry in the morning. Again, being busy may help with hunger too. I hope so.

I'm looking forward to a good DD today. Evenings have been a little tougher for me lately, even though I've upped my DD calories a bit. I don't know if it's the cooler weather, or diet fatigue, or what. I think I just need to engage my will power again, and remember that I'm in the home stretch and want to make this happen so bad!

Found another pair of size 12 jeans at the thrift store. Eyed the size 10s.

Also walked the dogs around the pond, walked to do my errands at post office and library, did laundry, dishes, wrote letters.

Down days sure are productive!

Now going to take a relaxing bath, then do some hand sewing while I watch a movie on this drizzly day.

You have been busy, sirtain! Have fun with your movie...and those 10s are coming for you!

Carly, hope the day has gone well and eating early wasn't a bad omen!

LCG, yes, you are in the home stretch!!! You got this!!!

XO Miss LG, hope today is going well girl!

Crazy here with DS1's bday. I'm having the bday boy run his sister to gymnastics and go get the bday pizza for his grandparents' arrival in a bit. Poor DD is missing most of it. Anyhoo, ice cream cake for dessert. Good grief it's a crazy time of year...and SO MUCH FOOD!

That's a great picture of you, Flutter!! You are really blossoming since you've reached maintenance. I can't hardly imagine ever getting there, but I hope to be with you one day!

I'm not LCing anymore. It seemed ideal, and it was, but I'm not. Today has been LC, in fact, it's been no C. All I've had is SF cream and coffee, but overall, I don't think I'm going to continue to try and do strict LC or even moderate right now.

Raynaud's sucks! I'm feeling sorry for myself today because my hands are killing me. I'm attaching pictures of my right hand (purely for sympathy--ignore my dirty fingernails!). The left hand only has one chilblain currently on the palmar side of the ring finger. My right hand, though--oy vey! Dorsal side - one on small finger, 3 on middle finger, one on index finger; Palmar side - huge one on middle finger and good sized one on the thumb. I swear I'm ready to cut the darned fingers off. I have my heater going, a jacket and scarf, and gloves when I'm not typing. I do believe I need to find someplace more temperate to live. The high today was "only" 70*.

Okay, the pity party is winding down. TOM also decided to visit today, so I'm just GRUMPY!

Are you doing a low DD Dawn? I was so cold last DD, I had to put on a sweat shirt, pants and socks in order to sleep. I hate that you're still having to deal with the chilblains.

Up day today and I've had more at this time than I normally do, and I haven't been below 500 calories on a DD for quite some time. I was thinking that might be my magic number but I think I was around 600 the last two DDs and still getting worse. Ugh. It's just so painful today, I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

It's probably the change in the weather then. Do you think? It's turned chilly here, and highs in the 60s (lows in the 40s). It feels freezing to me, especially on a DD.

Dawn! Yikes! Ow! Ow! Ow! It's been dropping into the 20s at night so New York I would not recommend. I have been back to one electric blanket as a mattress cover and one electric blanket as a blanket under two other blankets.

Thank G-d I ate this morning because it's 8:07pm and I had nothing else but a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. I have pizza being delivered

Work is so, so busy. I really don't know whether I'm coming or going most days and I missed a meeting yesterday since I just wasn't watching the clock. I shouldn't say I missed the meeting. I didn't show up for it and since I was heading it it didn't happen.

I never, ever, do stuff like that. I think everyone was as shocked as I was!

Melinda I love your new avi!

Where is Cindy (Kissa?) I feel like we haven't seen her for a while.

The lows here are around 14F right now with snow. I went to Costco today and it really felt like Christmas! Bought some decorations and some Christmas chocolates that I have to find a way to hide from myself. DH says it is way to early to put up the tree I know he is right.
I love your picture Melinda! You look great!
So sorry about your hands Dawn. Do your hands get worse when it is TOM? Just curious as my immunity is always the worst then and wondered if there was a correlation. Hope you can keep them warm.

LG, oh, you'll get here alright! We are all going to party hard when you do, too!!! Yeeehaw, just wait baby!!!

Dawn, oh honey, those look horribly painful. My heart hurts for you! Owies! I was hoping you easing DD numbers up some was giving you some relief. Do you think it's worse because of the cooling weather, then? (I'm not sure what your normal highs are this time of year?)

babs, snow?!? BOOOOOOO (or maybe you love it?) I am just not ready. Of course, I never am, but ugh....didn't we JUST do this?! {sigh} As for Costco & the chocolates, I ran past them yesterday. Literally! Those dark chocolate caramels were so scrumptious last year! Oh man! I am still over my head deep in Halloween chocolates here, though. H.E.L.P.

Carly, I'm sorry work is so stressful & crazy still. Any relief in sight?

Tks on the pic guys. DS1 is taking some photography/videography courses & flipped the camera around when I was taking his bday pics today. I have to learn to be ok with getting my picture taken still. I don't like it. Never will, I suppose. The full size version makes me cringe. I guess the good news is, I'm more ok with most of me...but my wrinkles are SO much more evident now (which I was expecting as I lost weight) yet my friends, the triple chins, are not going to leave, it appears. Ah well, c'est la vie, right?

Hey, you gave it a shot, and that's all we can do. Now you know better what you can live with and what you just don't want to. And if you want to kickstart losses every now and then, you could just do a week or two. Live and learn!

Oh gosh, Dawn, those look so painful! I've been feeling overly cold on DDs, and even UD to a lesser extent since it cooled down here. Meaning 80-85* high and maybe 48-50* lows. Maybe you're just going to have to make sure and get 1000 or so calories on your DDs to keep this from happening. OUCH!

Isn't that embarrassing? You must be really swamped. I hope that will calm down for you soon. And that you enjoyed that pizza!

Aw, I'm sorry Lisa. Not a good feeling. I hope it passes soon. Curl up under a soft blankie and drink some tea! Or SF hot cocoa!

Hi Everyone! Other than being all consumed with JUDDD (seeing it's my first day) I've had a pretty good day of research. I hope I have something fun to talk about soon. HAH!

Ouch! That looks sore! No warm weather here to send your way, though, I’m afraid.

That looks and sounds painful.

Flutter, I love your new picture. As for wrinkles- you just finished losing the weight a few months ago, right? Maybe over the next year your skin will adjust a little. Did you get the thing during weight loss where your face would look skinnier all of a sudden, then seem to revert back to normal, then get skinny again? I sometimes feel like I am losing every five pounds in millimeters from the top down, but my face always 'fills up' again.

It rained and rained all night here, and this morning our garage is flooded. Again. Luckily, we have learned our lesson, and nothing that touches the floor can be damaged by water.

Had a very good Down Day yesterday and am looking forward to having a great Up Day.
