what does UAUD mean?

:dunno:

It means Up Up and Away Day. That's generally about 1000 calories over your regular UD numbers.

Some JB's feel that 100-200 calories are a an UUAD, but sometimes that just happens.

LoCarbGal 10-31-2013 07:36 AM

I agree with Lisa. A couple hundred over to me doesn't qualify for UUAD, but 1000 (or more - hey, it happens!) most definitely does. If you're lucky, and really determined, they won't happen too often, or cal be planned. Sometimes it seems like an UUAD can shake up your metabolism and cause a nice whoosh. But only if they are few and far between!

mafiamom 10-31-2013 07:40 AM

Oh, OK! Thanks, and yikes !

Librarygirl 10-31-2013 08:06 AM

I used to wonder how in the world I could ever eat 1000+ over my UD calories. I don't wonder anymore. :D

mafiamom 10-31-2013 08:11 AM

Now that I am so much more aware of what the caloric content is for food, I can totally see how easy it would be to climb over by 1000!

KeirasMom 10-31-2013 08:40 AM

Technically my UD number is around 1750, but I've modified it to 2000 (in maintenance), and there are still days I go up to 3000 calories! I'm playing with figuring out what I can get away with, though, so it's all good. :o

Most of my UDs are over 2000, but I imagine a few days this month where I've been close to 3000 due to desserts. Like the wedding I went to - we had a big breakfast, then light food at the wedding, two pieces of cake (bride and groom of course) AND then got food afterwards. I had a viking size hunger that day - it happens.

I've learned though, in the early stages of my progress that as long as I have a fabulous DD, UDs are nothing to worry myself over.

I will say 1 thing- The Cheese Cake Factory- there are only a handful of items on the menu that are NOT more than my whole UD allotment.

I don't go over often, but it could be really easy to blow though 1550 if I don't watch it.

Does your Cheesecake Factory not have the Skinnylicious menu? CF is one of my go-to places if we eat out on a DD. TONS of items under 500 calories. Of course, if you want CHEESECAKE, that's another story! :hyst:

Well my DD is a UUDD. Not quite a UUAD yet, but well over a DD. I am doing a carb fest, and I can't stop. :D I hope I feel better tomorrow.
