WOE: Low Carb (Less than 30 total a day)
Start Date: Always Ongoing it seems
UD Tuesday - Plan?

Breakfast: PB&J
Lunch: Chicken and Avocado sandwich on wheat
Dinner: Hamburger (homemade) Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard, ketchup, maybe a slice of cheese? omnomonomonom

Also, I'm never weighing during the week again - I can't handle the sight of fluctuations! I know that they are there, but I'd rather not acknowledge them I weighed this morning and I was almost 2 lbs up - but I knew as soon as I woke up this morning that it was going to be an issues - my fingers were swollen, and stomach was a bit bloated. I noticed yesterday that despite the amount of water I drank, I wasn't using the restroom as much - so obviously, it's water retention and some (Warning: TMI) constipation.

What the tea that LCers drink? Where can I get it?
Maybe that'll make things a little eeeeasier.

LB-- I weighed this morning (after yesterday's DD...) and was UP on the scale!

I'll try for more like 1x or maybe 2x a week, after a DD, and apparently, only after I've been at this again for a while

re: tea-- I'll link you to our ongoing tea thread, but the answers are all over the place. I prefer making fresh iced tea, and my brand is David's tea... other folks like Stash, Teavana, etc.

Here's the link: What are your favorite teas?

Food today:

Trying to get back to lower-carb
B: 3 large eggs, about 1/2T butter, and 1T of my homemade chive pesto (green eggs!)
water, vitamins!
L: not sure, but probably salami and maybe lite cream cheese rolled up, yellow mustard
D: not a clue! I'll go raid the freezer later in the day...

My plan is to EAT!

I didn't eat quite enough on my last Up Day, and it made the start of my Down Day harder. I actually woke up hungry.

So, I started today with 5 pork links, and a mess of cabbage and kale fried in bacon grease.

Lunch will be lamb chops(s), and a vegetable yet to be decided.

Figs for a snack and desserts.

And a grand finale dinner of goat stew with leeks and onions over turnips, accompanied by radish, avocado, and grapefruit salad.

Mmmm. I'm getting hungry again, just thinking about it.

LB, I'm with you, no more every day weighing. Yesterday was a DD and I was still UP 3lbs. Not happy here. Going to just choose one day a week and stick to it.

BF here was whole grain toast with PB.
For lunch I'm thinking deviled eggs
No idea about dinner yet.

I was in a hurry today and had run out of my pumpkin bagels...

So breakfast was:

Almond/coconut milk latte
Half of homemade pizza that DH made for me last night.

Lunch: other half of pizza

I had a couple of chocolate chip cookies that were on the back counter at work

Going to get a pie e of fruit later so I don't feel so bad.

Going to try to stay away from the cookies for the rest of the day and have a skinny cow ice cream when I get home.

Have a great day!

Thank goodness for the avocado I packed in my lunch today. I had a Atkins frozen meal (pasta!) for lunch, and there was a plate of cake on the table in the staff lounge. I started to have the worst cravings for cake after I finished my lunch...I don't know if it was the pasta or staring at the cake inches away from me. Instead, I ate half an avocado with mayo. It wasn't good and not ripe enough, plus the mayo was not a good substitute for ranch dressing (never again), but the fat cured my cravings. Whew!

Good Planning Cindy!

related: I like avocado with lemon (or lime) and salt. Sometimes I mash it on toast, but just straight.
Oh, or with shrimp salad in the cavity.

Keira and DH love avocados with mayo. It's too much for me. I love them plain with salt. They're awful when no ripe enough, though.

Might have some fruit later... I'll be at my 2000 for the day

Ugh, got completely derailed today.

Had potatoes with cheese, bacon and sour cream for lunch.

No dinner, just a few PB cookies, some chips and wine. So not healthy and I don't even want to know the calories!

That's the downside of internet friends- no impromptu dinner gatherings.

There's no wine in the house, or cake...but I DO have Turkish Delight! Littlest is getting it in her lunchbox, two pieces at a time. We could arm wrestle her for the rest of the box.

Finished off all my meals with much happiness. I will be going into my Down Day with a happy tummy.

Sirt, I have a stuffed cookie recipe that calls for Turkish delight. Very easy, fun with kids (lots of sprinkling things and then rolling them up in the dough.
Let me know if you want it

Yesterday was rough! My first "real" DD, but I did okay. Not great. I went over my cal limit a little bit, but I woke up with a loss so I think I didn't do THAT much damage. *fingers crossed* Also, hubby came home with some sweet tea and sweet heat bbq chips! Grrr..he's so mean!
So my UD looks like this:

B-Coffee, water, sunny side up eggs on toast
l-tuna sandwich
d-taco mac, I think. (will watch portions)

Lots of water and tracking all my calories!

You can look for the UD Wednesday thread, and post your menu for today. Or you can start one, if there's not one. HTH!
