How Will you Challenge Yourself in November?

How Will you Challenge Yourself in November?

Reading the ideas for October inspired me this month to not only try and meet some of the challenges, but to evolve my JUDDD into something sustainable and healthy (not that it isn't already) So before the start of November, I am wondering if anyone has come up with any new challenge ideas - I guess we could call them monthly resolutions. a one month goal/resolution seems much more sustainable and encouraging than our New Year resolutions often are I think, so maybe we can make this a thing -we can share out monthly goals and hopes, and celebrate our small milestones. I think it will also inspire others to take a look at their diet too, and give them ideas of things to try if they are seeing the results they wish to see.

Speaking of...
With only 6 more days left in October, I think my weight loss is going to be pretty modest (7-10lbs) I'll be happy with an average 2lbs a week, but I'm happy just with any loss after stalls and gains over the past several months.

In November, my plan is to clean up my diet; moderate carbs, good fats, less fried everything, limit sweets, and continue the good water intake. Thanksgiving will be enjoyed without worry, I'll have cake on my BFs birthday, and eat out on our anniversary (2 years ) I don't have to over do it though, that's important! I know JUDDD slows, and I want my weight loss to continue, and hope for the same success that I had this month.

I'll limit my DDs more, since they've stayed between 500-700 calories - maybe I can actually meet my real JUDDD calculator number of below 500 most days - that would be nice. I'll stick to my plan of water all day, and dinner in the evening, but fix more portion controlled items, so there's no guessing. I mean, I wasn't even hungry last night, but still are because it was in front of me - that's a habit that needs to die!

I'm 188 now - I wanna see AT LEAST 179 by December 1st.

What's your plan and goal for November?

I was thinking about November lately myself - wanting to NOT loose my good JUDDD habits! And let me say - your "modest" loss this month looks AWESOME to me! Congrats!

I do well with check lists and "interesting" things to check off - giving myself "points" for good behavior. LOL

The only things I had thought of for my list - which will hang on the fridge - is something Raw every day and something high in Vitamin C. Of course two line items will be my UP / DD calorie amounts - to see how many days out of the month I can stay at or below... but I'm trying to think of other, as I say - interesting ones... I need to think on it some more.

I have found with JUDDD and tracking my calories that there are certain decades that I no longer bounce UP to anymore - so for November I want to ONLY bounce in the 150s too!

I didn't think about that - that's a good one! I would love not to bounce back up into the previous decade!

I think I'd like my November bounce to be "mostly" 140s, and then in December I'll try to not hit 150 at all. It's hard coming up with goals in maintenance, other than fitness goals, but I don't seem to be doing so well with that.

Lol at "modest loss". I don't think I've lost over 15 lbs this whole year! I hope changing to lower carbs and no refined sugar will be the change I need for success. That's my plan for November--stick to lowered carbs and stop cravings. Hopefully, weight loss will follow.

By the beginning of Nov. I want to be 140 lbs. with a max. of 20% BF & 112 lbs. LBM min. for the first time in 6 years!

By the end of Nov. I want to be within my goal range of 136 - 138 lbs., so I can be in maintenance through the holiday season.

Good idea LadyB! I think I'm going to have 2 November goals:

1. Not to weigh myself from Nov 1 until Nov 27, a la Mike/Planelman

2. When I weigh on Nov 27 I'd like to see 174, which would put me from obese to overweight category.

I am challenging myself to start walking on my treadmill. I want to become a runner someday and that's not going happen if I can't even walk a couple of miles! By the end of the month, I'd like to be on the treadmill or walking outside 6 days a week.

I would also like to see 275 in November. No bounces into the 280's would be good but as I'm only starting I don't know what's attainable for a month on JUDDD for my body. Just seeing good progress will be enough for me.

I need to get serious about exercise and cleaning up my choices of food. My cholesterol and triglycerides are sky high. I'd like to focus more on fresh vegetables, berries, fish and eggs, raw nuts/seeds, limited dairy and legumes.

I picked up The New Atkins For a New You, which includes some guidelines for vegetarians. I still won't eat grains, so no veggie burgers for me. I also want to kick my Splenda habit. Ugh, I've needed to do this for awhile now.

So a lot of changes coming up for me.. LoL

Thanks for this thread, ladyB!

My cholesterol was 244, which surprised me. They only did a simple test, which was free, so I don't know the good vs the bad ratio. It will be interesting to see if it improves now that I'm limiting sugar and grains.

I will weigh every day in November. No more blank spots on my chart. I love filling in the zigs and zags.

That's me too! I know Thanksgiving will be tough! No true way to do rotations that weekend. Large group staying in a cabin together. On my DD's that week, I think I will try to skip breakfast and have salad for lunch. HEY it would be better than my NORM!

I think for now, I will stick with my set MWF Up day rotations and T TH and then either Sa or Su being DD. That works really great for my family. Not sure I will get into and stay in the 160's like that, heck, I haven't managed that with the other way either! I always botch a DD that is a Friday!

November will be an interesting month for me!! Im working in Belgium for 3 days, I am going away with Hubby to Brighton for a concert and we are staying over and then at the end of the month Im going to a christmas market in Hamburg for hubby's birthday for 7 days!!
My challenge for Nov is going to have to be exceptional DD's and not having UAUD's on my UD's...tbh a loss at the end of the month which for me will be 26/11 as that is when we are travelling will be fab!!
Good luck all and here is to a very successful November!! xx

How fun! My family is from Hamburg, but it has been too long since I have been able to visit. You should try to get to the Fischmarkt, down at the harbor, if you have never been. It is wonderful, and has so much to see. And eat! The rollmops are fantastic! Also, look for the fruit vendor who throws his fruit out into the crowd, selling auction-style every once in a while.

I just restarted JUDDD but by the end of Nov. I'd like to be in the VERY low 140s if possible. Exercise at least 3 times a week. Drink MORE water. Get more sleep.

That last one is gonna be hard since I'm doing NaNoWriMo AND getting more responsibilities with work, but I'm still gonna try!

I'm basically starting over again, so I don't want to pile on too much. I have a tendency to do that, and then rebel and do NOTHING.

On nov 18, I'm going to Disneyworld for a week, so between now and then, I want to:
stay on track with UD and DD
get in some walking
try some planks

and do my laundry
