Yup, cheese is the most calorie dense food ever:sad: That and nuts.

Flutter 10-17-2013 04:26 PM

 I know the feeling! I can't believe I ever lost weight doing southbeach before with all the cheese, natural peanut butter and full fat dressing I ate!

Librarygirl 10-17-2013 04:38 PM

Is that all? :D One cupcake is 500.:p

KeirasMom 10-17-2013 04:48 PM

Funnel cake with peanut butter, chocolate, banana cream, and whipped cream. That's all I'll say on the subject.

(and yes, I had one at the fair a couple of weeks ago!) :o

Yeah, I've learned a lot too! Cheese is most definitely an UD item for me.

Librarygirl 10-17-2013 05:31 PM

2 T of parmesan cheese is 20 calories...great on a scrambled egg...or anything! 2 T of 2% cheddar is about the same also. :) You can still have your cheese and eat it too!

mafiamom 10-17-2013 05:51 PM

It just seems so innocuous - sitting there all little and flat!

Carly 10-17-2013 05:56 PM

Yes, calorie counting is quite the eye opener in conjunction with "serving size".
So, I was thinking 160 calories isn't bad for a nice snack of almonds... 1 ounce  um... I can barely afford that on UD since an ounce is barely a taste!

LoCarbGal 10-17-2013 07:01 PM

Cheese has been one of the hardest things for me to limit myself on, and completely eliminate on DDs. Coming from Atkins, I lived on cheese, especially extra sharp cheddar. I could easily have 4 or 5 oz for lunch. Of course I wasn't counting or measuring it then. To think that a domino size slice is an ounce and more than 100 calories.

mafiamom 10-17-2013 07:37 PM

ssshhhhhh. I'm in mourning.

Barbo 10-17-2013 08:04 PM

Dear Cheesey

 Don't  That is what an UP day is for.

Have a grilled cheese sandwich....

DD stay away......

The kraft light cheese is good and only 45c! Honestly, I used to think I HAD to have cheese with my toast / egg in the morning. I stopped using it and don't even miss it!

Totally cracked me up!

I LOVE the laughing cow spreadable cheese wedges at 35 calories a wedge.

LoCarbGal 10-18-2013 11:48 AM

Yes, those are good!

JoLi 10-18-2013 03:45 PM

Yes, I've discovered I don't need cheese on my chili, or eggs, it was wasted calories on my tostada yesterday.

shirlc 10-18-2013 05:25 PM

I buy Sargento Ultra Thin Swiss for my UD sandwiches...40 calories a slice and gives lots of flavor.

Yes! This! They have other flavors too...Colby Jack, cheddar....

ladybarometer 10-22-2013 01:11 PM

I'll have a little casserole on a DD if I've not eaten all day with 2% milk cheese, besides that, it's reserved for UDs!

As far as the "light" cheese, I can't do it. I accidently grabbed light fat free cheese at the store one time... it was all dry and blah. I can do Laughing Cow cheese though. The string cheese I get at Aldi's is 70 calories for a stick. I have planned it into my DD's before with no problems.
