ugh. scheduling problems

friday (DD) i have a friends birthday party to go to and saturday my UD is a wedding.

how do i go about doing this. there is no way i can go to that party, see all the food and not eat ..... same for the wedding??? am i just too weak?

sigh - normally my weekends are not this loaded with food laden activities.

You may just need to make it 2 UDs in a row and then go from there. Sometimes I think the plan and fail is more disheartening than anything. It really just depends upon where your head is, and how well you think you can restrict under those circumstances. Either way, it will be fine. One weekend of full eating isn't going to make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. If you do eat, enjoy it! And then move on! :shake:

Relax. It's just one weekend in the grand scheme of things, after all. There will be other times like this, so remember that you can just return to every other day rotations when the partying is over. ;) I know we all have a time schedule we want to stick to, to lose weight, but this is life and it doesn't always work out like we planned. :)

so true! it's just that i only just started and i am already cheating a DD. wanted to get a few under my belt :)

Normally I would say just have 2 UDs in a row, but I hear what you're saying about just starting. Maybe fast all day and have a smaller dinner on the DD event day? I have done that before and managed just fine! It's just a bit higher calorie DD, you know? No big thing whatever you decide to do. It will all work out fine!

Since you are on a DD now, Wed., you can do a Mid Day tomorrow, and a UD Friday. Saturday, you could do as Flutter suggested and fast all day until the wedding.:dunno: It really won't help to do double DDs after the fact, however, and may set you up to overeat and give up on everything. As with any diet, you have to decide if an event is worth delaying your diet, and if it is, then you just have to pick up and start again afterward.:)

i think i will try that. a MD tomorrow, and UD friday, and barely eat anything on saturday until the reception. hopefully my growling stomach wont drown out the minister!

it will be nice to have a regular old week to really do this right!

mafia, you will have plenty of those for the rest of your life. ;) Don't sweat the small stuff & enjoy your fun weekend! Those are fun events and important to ENJOY! You have a plan, now just do the best you can and no worries.

If you fasted until the party it would probably work out to be a MD depending on what they had available. The cake alone could be 500 calories LOL You never know! The last party I went to I fasted until I got to the party then the food ended up being so blah and the cake not the kind I liked anyway...it ended up being less than a MD so I didn't even worry about it. Sometimes just the thought of a "party" makes you think UD but it really doesn't have to be. Eat what you like but don't just eat anything just because it's there.

Just enjoy it!
I know it's tough, but like Flutter said, it won't be the last time this will happen.
