I think it's safe to say I went above and beyond considerably on the UD calories. Probably over 2k. Just got a bit over zealous I guess.

Oh well, today I'll be good on the DD and keep on going.

Guess what??

Even though I know I went over on calories yesterday I got on the scale this morning (I know...bad habit) and instead of bouncing up to (or beyond was my fear) 158, it said 157! Wow. I was shocked. So I hope this is a sign that I'm on the right track and maybe I just wasn't eating enough of my UD.

Today's DD is going to be easy (I'm trying to convince myself ) as I'll try and wait until dinner and then I'm having a Atkins frozen dinner and for snack a Atkins chocolate shake. So right at 500 for today.

Yes, with Juddd we need to eat enough on our UDs to lose. Have a great DD.

Awesome that the scale rewarded you for eating more on your UD! Great sign! I am sure you'll do great!

Well unfortunately, that loss was short lived. I'm still only maintaining and bouncing back and forth between 156 - 158lbs.

So I'm going on a week....is this normal? Or should I really re-examine what I'm eating on UD and DD to try and figure out how to see a loss doing JUDDD?

This is a great WOE for me for maintaining my weight but really would like to work on getting another 10-15 lbs off.

Kel, some of our really successful JBs took several weeks to really start seeing losses, so I wouldn't worry too much yet. JUDDD does amazing things for us, and sometimes it's busy doing a lot of healing in your body before the losses start. If you're confident in your calorie numbers, I would just keep on keeping on for a couple more weeks and see what happens. Good luck!

Are you doing 20% DD with little to no exercise option? That was how I lost best. I think that people who come from HCG have to be a little patient since JUDDD is not as restrictive and losses are slower than with HCG.

Keep on keeping on.

I'm just sticking to 500 calories a day. I don't think I could tolerate any lower (well, I should say my family probably wouldn't tolerate it) as I'm already irritable on DD's @ 500 cals so any less...wouldn't be good. I did it easily on HCG because the HCG in my system triggered my body to utilize my fat stores to make up the other calories. On this my body is screaming (metaphorically) that I'm starving it on the DD's and thus I get really irritable.

But maybe that's the issue, that I'm not low enough on DD's. If that's the case then this just won't work for me as I don't like feeling that miserable or making my family deal with me being that moody. But I'll keep trying at the level I'm at at least for this month and if no losses then I'll do another HCG round to get the last 10-15lbs off and then try this for maintenance.

That should read I'm sticking to 500 calories on DD's. Not A DAY...sheesh. On UD's I'm reaching 1800-1900.

When I started, I did not lose an ounce for the first two weeks and I am now in maintenance. My advice is always the same - patience.

I'm hanging in there....This morning I'm up a pound! Uhhg. I know TOM is just around the corner so that's probably why. It's a bit discouraging though to not see any loss at all yet. But I'm banking on you all being correct and I just need to keep going and give it another week or two. By the end of week 3 if I haven't lost anything, then I'll know that this just won't work for me for whatever reason.

Great job hanging in there in spite of the lack of immediate reward!

Today is my 3 month anniversary JUDDING. I'm down 21.2 pounds overall, being obsessively faithful to the plan - just ask my family!
(I did make one out -of-country trip, 10 days where I didn't keep track, ate meals only, no snacks, and lost a pound).

I've had 2 "set-backs". Both times I saw no loss, but a small gain over a period of 11 days or so. The first one was an obvious TOM, but since I'm peri-meno, it's been my only one. The other one, just in the last few weeks, was unexplainable. I just slowly gained a pound over those 11 days through 5 DD it was so discouraging.

But now I'm on the "woosh" downward - loss of 2.6 pounds in the past 5 days.
So I'm just going to mentally prepare for the mystery gains/plateaus and keep plugging away when it happens, and look forward to the thrilling ride down that follows.

Slimming-up! You are doing great!

I'm really hoping that it's like the gals are saying and I just need to be patient. It's hard seeing how other newbies have lost after just their first week though and I haven't.

I really want this to work and I'm being faithful to it. I hate the idea that maybe nothing else will work for me ever...but HCG as I don't want to have to rely on that diet. But I will do one more round if JUDDD doesn't work and then use JUDDD to try and maintain since it does seem to be working to keep my weight the same.

Thanks... I would add that when i started JUDDD, I had not dieted in years. I was just eating what ever I wanted.
So although I lost 5lb over the first 2 weeks, a good bit of or was probably water.
If I'd already been on another plan, I may not have seen much loss.

I have *not* been faithful to my numbers, and I've lost very slowly. If you want to lose consistently and relatively quickly (for JUDDD), you will either have to lower your DD calories, or your UD calories somewhat, probably. That is, if you're not exercising A LOT. Try and keep the 1000 calorie swing between DDs and UDs, however you decide to do it.

I have seen a bunch of people struggle who are coming from HCG. Most don't stick it out, but the few who have have gone on to do well.

I'm still hanging in here. Still no losses but I'm maintaining. I go on vacation the day before Thanksgiving so my plan is to stick with JUDDD until Oct, 30th and then do 2-day loading (might as well one of the loading days be on Halloween right? You know help the kids eat the chocolate...LOL!). Then do a short 21 day HCG round. I may even start back on the HCG when I get back from vacation as I know there are a couple special meals planned that are totally off my WOE that I'll partake in while there. So anyway, after I get to my goal I plan on using JUDDD for maintenance as it has proven to me that I can at least maintain if I do JUDDD. Though I am hoping I can up my DD calories at some point and find a nice medium so I don't feel so irritable.

I'm glad you're hanging in Kel! I'll bet my Oct 30th you'll have some impressive losses and feel better about JUDDD.

Kel, I just want to share that I, too, threatened to quit many times in the beginning because I *hated* DDs. I felt like I'd never get used to it. Well, time passed and I did. Many DDs 500 calories seems like a splurge lol.

Just keep going! I think it requires a bit MORE patience when you're so close to goal. You will get there, and you have a back up plan in case things don't start rolling by the end of the month. Definitely pulling for you!!

PS: are you having any NSV? Did you measure before starting Juddd? Maybe you're losing inches and the stupid scale is being mean right now. It does eventually catch up! (stupid thing)
