Hey Jacci! Good work on the exercise so far! Is there any way you could swim a couple times a week? I was a competitive swimmer through high school and know that when my back was killing me from football, I could enjoy a nice, low-impact workout. Maybe even try pool-running. The water supports your body but also gives you some resistance. They even make devices you can use as a belt that keeps you afloat so all you have to do is move your arms and kick while swimming. That could reduce some of the stress on the sciatica. I feel your pain completely and give you all the props for still working out through this! Good luck!

Would you believe I cant swim!!! My main reason to try and do some sort of exercise is that my bad cholesterol was high and Im hoping if I do something those levels will go down...we will see!! Mind you something with some sort of flotation device would be good wouldnt it....I will google those devices, thanks for the idea.x

I dont normally exercise for 2 reasons.....A) Im lazy..sad but true and B) I suffer from facet joint disease in my spine..exercise makes that hurt a lot. I have decided though to do the kill or cure method for my back and am going to walk home from work (at least when the weather is not too bad).

Well the storm we had overnight was well and truly gone by tonight so I succeeded in my goal...quite chuffed with myself tbh!! Soooooooooooo...........

28th Oct 30 mins walk!!
29th Oct 30 mins walk..more like a hobble!!

Jacci! You are doing great to keep walking in pain. Your strength and stamina will hopefully increase and you'll have less pain as a result.

30th Oct 60 mins walking...went to London for the day, back not too bad at the mo!!
31st Oct 20 mins walking....
