Sometimes I didn't feel like walking, but once I was out doing it I felt better and I was glad I did it. We can psych ourselves out of exercise and make excuses very easily. One thing that helped and made it enjoyable was listening to audiobooks and podcasts while walking, so I was expanding my mind while shrinking by body. I would often walk longer just to get through a chapter or finish a podcast, and go walking just so I could continue to enjoy the book I was listening to.
Great ideas.....i'm walking 30 minutes every evening...from there i'll increase it next week...podcasts,is that an ipod that you download a book? I do have a ipod,i'll have to look into it..thanks again

It's great for the waist. Many of us use a weighted hula hoop. I have one, but have been pretty bad about using it consistently.

All in all it went very well. Tulip was a poor responder to pre-med anesthetics, so it took her a little longer to go under. But after she was out, the surgery was as smooth as it could be. I was very surprised at myself and how, when you are in the zone, everything just flows. It was like I was just going with everything. I didn't realize how long I had been standing in the same position until I tried to move after surgery and my knees were as stiff as can be! But she recovered well, was in great spirits the night after and went back to the HS on Thursday. I am still thinking about adopting her, but there is a veterinary faculty member at school who is also very interested in her, so I would be very happy if she went to her home as well.

Just now jumping in here. Man I feel lazy now, lol, after seeing all you guys have done

I swim for 2-2 1/2 hours in the mornings from 5:30-7:30 starting last Monday. I took Friday and Saturday off because of extremely heavy TOM, the pool was closed on Sunday and yesterday I just didn't want to get out of bed. 4 days off was more than enough for me! I got back into it this morning. But Saturday and Sunday I did alot of walking at my weekend job. 4 miles on Saturday and 2 miles and some change on Sunday.Just waiting to here from the gym about a personal trainer now.

I wanna be built like a brick outhouse.
