Trying the Spike Diet with a JUDDD twist. My goal is to maintain in October.
High Day = 1426 calories (M, W, F)
Low Day = 926-1200 calories (T, Th, Sun)
Spike Day = 2852 calories (Saturday)

10/01 - 148.0 - LD - 1200 calories goal

I'm thinking maintenance, but I haven't been able to find the book (out of print, and not available for download), so I'm not sure what his maintenance plan is. Goal for October: Achieve new low of 122 and maintain under 125

Babysitting my Granddaughter, so started my DD with a jammy clotted cream scone and a cappuccino for lunch in the supermarket. Not really the best way to success. :o (Was nice though!)

I had one of those yesterday and gained 4#! :hyst::rofl: I don't think this spike thing would work for moi!!! :help::laugh:

It's available on Amazon (new 15, used 10.00). I read that the book isn't well-written and has a lot of typos lol. However, there are some good reviews. I guess Juddd is similar in that we allow a spike eod. I'm not sure I could stick with a low calorie diet 6 days a week, and one spike day...seems similar to a regular low calorie diet with a cheat day thrown in, unless I've missed something crucial. Good luck!

Just a minor difference in that there are "high days" and "low days" plus the one super high "spike day" per week. So my high days are BMR, low days are BMR - 500 (but not supposed to go below 1200--which is where my JUDDD tweak comes in), and the spike day is 2 X BMR. That's for weight loss though, and I already know I don't maintain with TDEE, so I might maintain with the WLM. :dunno: Plus, I've been getting chilblains again. I say I'm going to do higher DDs, and I have been keeping them between 500-800, but it's still not enough to keep my Raynaud's in check. For some reason, when I allow myself 1000 calories on a DD, it feels like it's too much. But I never have a problem getting to 2000 on an UD. :dunno:

I did see that I could order a used copy (didn't see the new copies, but I can look again). I just really prefer having everything on my Kindle. I'm too lazy to carry around multiple books. I also read about the typos and I know that will drive me bonkers.

No longer doing JUDDD, switched to Nutritional Ketosis to burn off some fat.

Goal for September - stay around 190 lbs BF < 15%, more Strength Training trying to lean out, tracking BF% as average of last 7 days
