So here I am, at exactly the same weight I started October with. I've been as low as 179.5, and I've bounced around these 4 pounds all month. When I first saw this weight this morning, I was very upset. But right away I began to realize that I'm not misbehaving enough to be actually gaining weight. Not fat anyway. I'm exercising more than ever, getting fitter and firmer all over, trying to eat a bit more good calories to feed my increased workouts and muscles that are hopefully growing. I'm 47 years old (almost) and TOM has been MIA for 8 weeks.

So I think not weighing through November is just the thing I need right now. I'm going to trust JUDDD (which I'm always telling others to do), keep to my rotations, keep exercising, listen to what my body is telling me, and just plain keep my head down and work. And live my life.

Sorry for waxing philosophical on this weigh in board this morning guys. Thanks for listening, and I hope this little bump in the road, if that is what it is, will help someone else. I WILL NOT GIVE UP!

Carol, you are a very wise and determined woman. I have no doubt that November will be better, and you're absolutely right that you have NOT gained, or even maintained this month. You've lost, but just had a wonky weigh-in. You're doing great things for your body, and your health. You've got this!!

Carol, I agree with DAWN and I want to say, plain and simple,

MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT

BUt I would rather have muscle than FAT, it is much smaller!!!!!!!!!

Dear Carol, I think you identified the reasons: exercise and delayed TOM. It is possible that you are putting too much stress on your body with increased cardio I am just guessing. I am not sure if you actually increased cardio or weights. I think too much cardio may have negative effect on the body. I am sure it is temporary stall for you because you are really diligent with your diet and that counts the most. Just hang in there. I bet by end of November when you step on the scale you will be rewarded with a great number. I believe in you, girl!!!

I agree with everyone LCG, and also guess that the amazingly quick losses you had last month may have caused your body to slow down on releasing more weight for just a little bit. Regardless of the reasons, you are not gaining and are heading for a big whoosh just around the corner!

Are you tracking your measurements too? The scale is such an inaccurate measure of short term changes. There could be so many other things changing that it can never reflect, including how you feel and your mood, energy levels, sleep.

Stepping away from the scale, and sticking to your plan and knowing you are eating and exercising in a healthy way will I think bring you some peace and help you to realize the other benefits you are getting.

Yes, thanks for reminding me to measure tomorrow Mike. I will do that for sure. I really do appreciate your suggesting the no-weigh November. I think I'll be a bit nutty the first few days, but then I know I'll feel the peace. Thanks!

It seemed like October was a challenging weight loss month. I am happy that there are health benefits with JUDDD to focus on. I feel like I am finally in a good eating pattern this last week. It is so much easier without all the endurance training to juggle with trying to fast. I am hopeful that this good pattern will continue for me into November. Happy Halloween everyone!

So I think I maintained well this month, considering that overall I probably ate close to 15,000 more calories than the last month I actually did JUDDD. Low carb, high fat is awesome and I plan to continue being in ketosis for the long term. I thought my BF % was reading way to low over the last several days so I didn't record it, but the new average seems fairly reasonable, plus I can see myself leaning out in the mirror so I'll just go ahead and take it and say I met my goal for less than 15%.

This is also my last weigh in until 11/30.
