You are not allowed to give up, missy!!!!!! What's going on? Have you tightened up your numbers and they're not working now? we need more details, as you well know!

I don't know. I guess I gained over the month of September when I was doing double UDs every weekend. I was trying 4:3 just because it was easier to have UD weekends, and I wanted the break. I feel like I'll never lose any significant amount of weight because I can't seem to sacrifice or restrict as well as others.

Congrats on your new low!!!

Only you know what really will work for YOU, but it seems to me you already HAVE lost a "significant" amount of weight, gf. You have to decide if it's worth stepping up and "restricting" to your numbers EOD to push those losses again, or if it's better for you to restrict less and lose (or maintain, depending) really slow. I know it's hard. For ME, "restricting" EOD is easier than I feel on other diets where I feel I'm restricted every day and get mad and throw in the towel. If you're feeling more frustrated the way things are, though, maybe it will do the opposite and inspire you to stick to your numbers religiously for a few weeks and see if THAT motivates you? <running away fast before LG finds me with a broom and beats me with it> (You know I'm talking out of LOVE gf!!!) I still think, whatever you choose, you are doing wonderful. You will figure out what you need to do!!!

I also agree only you can figure it out. I know I was frustrated when I gained 2 weeks ago and its still not all off but then I thought what is the alternative, either diet every day and eventually give up and gain or not diet at all and then gain....

Melinda - new low! You're doing A-MAZ-ING!

Cindy - no, no, no you can't quit! You're just in one of those long lulls that I know and hate so well. It feels like I'm back in one too. As you can see, I'm trying to lower my calories a bit more to see if I can get things moving again. I'm not thrilled with that, but I need to keep the downward movement going so I can finish this losing and get on with maintenance. Please don't go anywhere!

Well, today was not the day that I decided to change anything. I ate candy like there was no tomorrow, and I'm still planning on having dinner and dessert. The hell with it. I'll just keep doing what I do, and hope I can get some control over my UDs soon. With all of you guys help here, it should be a piece of cake. Ironically, I realized that maybe I too have issues with bingeing (as it's being defined by most here) on UDs, so those of you who thought I didn't understand, I do.

Cindy Maybe your UD are getting out of control because of delayed TOM (I remember you started a thread on that subject). I know in my case appetite is connected to my hormones. My last TOM was delayed by 3 weeks and my appetite was trough the roof. I can only imagine being delayed by couple of months

If that's the case, then I can blame the last 5 months of little progress on delayed TOM.

I'll join you all on this thread, maybe it'll be a help when I hit a stall like I'm in right now...
Started at 180 in July.
Since this is my first post in this thread, I'm posting beyond October, to show my pattern. I have these frustrating plateaus where I'll stall on the scales - like this entire week at 158, after hitting a low of 156.8.
I'm faithful to my JUDDD numbers, both up and down. In the past month I've stayed under 400 calories - this week it's been in the low 300s, and yet the scales doesn't budge...
Hoping for a woosh in the next few days!

Carol- your scale is just wrong!!!! Ignore it! You must me retaining water or TMI. I am surprised myself not to see scale moving down after DD (second time this week) but I know it is temporary, and you know it too.

Thanks Marika. I do know it in my head, but I was not happy to see that number on the scale. I think you're right about TMI. And I did start riding my new stationary bike yesterday and my hips ached so much I had to take some ibuprofen so maybe that's part of it.

We'll both be back on the downward by next week!
