Fingers crossed for you Cindy.

You are right Carol, but I am not alone in wanting you to see the 170s. We will just have to be as patient as you are.

I hear you, Carol. You have been losing very nicely, in my opinion. If you call that slow, then I would be considered a slug. I am sort of inspired to try harder because I see you catching up to me.

On the big a site there is a free 5:2 diet book for Kindle apps today. There are a couple of interesting recipes in it.

Good luck Cindy on getting one of the articles.

You are my sweet friend! But God help you if you are as patient as me. I may talk a good game, but I am NOT patient.

Thanks friend! I would definitely NOT call you a slug. You've been steadily losing with a decidedly more relaxed attitude than mine. I say that not as a jab, but with much admiration, because I get a little obsessive sometimes and can't wait until I can relax a little. But I'm noticing you getting a little more strict lately and you are due for the scale to drop. I don't think I'll be catching you anytime soon!

Thanks SB! I just went and got it. I'm needing some new ideas for sure.

This is a good down day choice as the carbs and low.
Fill them with your favorites. I like them as lasagna noodles.

Egg Noodles or Crepes
Ginny Larsen

12 servings = 1 gram net carb. per serving.

1/4 c. HWC
2 oz. cream cheese
2 tsp. coconut flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 lg. eggs (8 IF MAKING LASAGNA NOODLES)

For Lasagna:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2- 9x13" baking pans with nonstick spray.
Pour mixture into pans and spread evenly. Bake about 10 minutes.

This makes 2 large lasagna noodles. You can cool them and cut them into the
size you want.

In medium bowl, mix cream, soft cream cheese, coconut flour, and salt.
Beat until smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating until smooth.

Nice noodles, crepes, or low carb wrap.

Cindy (LG) I'm a consultant to an LGBT Center here in NY and this center has a Library. If you want me to put you in contact with the program director or one of the library volunteers PM me. I have been very active in LGBT rights since before it was an "in" thing. In the 90's I was pelted with rocks and beer cans at the St. Patrick's Day Parade for raising awareness. I was around before the T was acceptable. The Q is for queer or questioning. I'm not fond of queer, but it was embraced by the community to take the negative connotation out of it. I think the teens and 20 somethings are better with it than us who are 30+.

Hope everyone with gurgly stomachs feels better.

I have a more relaxed attitude because it's the only way I can function. I get stressed out and discouraged when I try and restrict too much. I probably would have quit a long time ago if I had to go as far as you have come. You are my heroine.

No, not right now. I went back to work on a 1-2 month assignment and just have no desire for up days during the week. Kind of eat the same thing all the time M-F plus libations on Friday. It works out with my exercise/work schedule anyway.
I also suspect I'm cortisol sensitive and it seems that a big calorie swing (over 1000) impacts that with respect to my sleep schedule (get both insomnia AND early waking on JUDDD! Sometimes on the same night!)
It's definitely a plan that I'd go back to again once I'm done this job but without a big swing. More like a slightly lower UD and 50% DD would work well for me for losing I suspect. That's the good thing about the plan - it's very flexible.

Good luck to you, Jacqueline. Your stats look great, and I guess you are still losing nicely. That is what most of us want after all, with as little stress as possible. I had sleep issues for a few weeks (maybe a month or so) in the beginning of JUDDDing, but they have resolved and I rarely have a sleepless night. I do wake feeling more refreshed after DDs though, which is a plus.

I was surprised that I had no sleep issues in the beginning, but they started around the 3 month mark. I do think it was a combo of exercising "too much" and DD combination. But I was partly trying to exercise on DD's to get myself out of the house and away from food - if you know what I mean. I think that was a mistake - for me - even though I thought I was raising my calories enough to compensate. I've always had early waking when I've been stressed work-wise so that was sort of normal (although I wasn't working and had no personal stressors) - I just can't get by on 4 hours of sleep a night at my age! Also had some hormonal issues (skipping shark week in August) but I don't know if that was JUDDD or just crazy peri-menopause stuff. It went back to normal when I went off, but who knows.

I'm happy though that following JUDDD got me off of my bad bad junk food tendencies and sort of re-set / killed my appetite downwards. I never had a single UUAD or anything remotely resembling that, so I do think it would be sustainable for me for maintenance when I get there. Maybe we will get there at the same time this next spring / summer!!

I've been skipping shark week since May, and irregular before then. However, I was doing the same thing before I started JUDDD for about a year. Therefore, I suspect it's unrelated and normal for this time in my life. At least I hope so! Yes, I'd love to get to maintenance by next spring. Here's hoping!

We can do this!! Carol is going to beat us all though - and hooray for her if she does.

Yeah, apart from pregnancy and a few months being below 15% body fat back in the day, I've been regular as a clock for 35+ years. Quite frankly, I'd be happy if the sharks stopped circling and never came back again at this point. Just the thought of being able to even *have* a baby at my age is ugh. I don't know what gets into some 50 y.o. celebrities heads... Grandkids would be cool though.

I don't think I'll be beating you guys, but I wouldn't mind hitting maintenance in the spring. Of course, I really truly want it sooner, but honestly don't see it happening that quickly.

Shark week has been rather unpredictable here too. I never had any kids and lordy I don't want any at this point in my life! I'm still holding out for possible step-grandkids though!

At the rate I'm going, I'll see maintenance in the spring. The spring of 2015.

You are all wonderful, because this is not a race and we are not simply losing weight we are healing our bodies and learning to treat food normally. (Well almost.)

I have so enjoyed my DDs this week even though a couple of times I felt hungrier than usual. I am certain that this is because I had finally lost all the Sirt1 after asking too much of it.

I am really enjoying the knowledge that I am now 'refilling the tank' so to speak. Today is an UD and I had some leftover hamburger that I had made for DH last night. The later at the Mall he ate a donut while I watched with absolutely no wish to join him. Tonight we are dining with neighbours and I know I can eat whatever they serve me. I love JUDDD.

I know it's not a race, and I've been one to preach and practice that theory, but it was a wake up call at our work health day this week. I knew it, but seeing it on paper that I'm still OBESE brought it home to me that I have a ways to go before I need to congratulate myself and slack off.

I'm glad you're back and enjoying JUDDDing again, Cindy. I know you'll be back to your lowest in no time!

I was at the gym this morning and a lady was talking about how frustrated she was that her fellow gym buddy was losing weight faster than she is. Apparently they are not speaking right now which I personally find ridiculous. It just made me think about how different we all are and no matter how motivated one is and how much support we have the weight comes off at it's own pace. Of course that's hard to embrace at times, but I just wanted to say I'm so proud of all the hard work everyone puts in and I'm so grateful to have all you JB's in my life.

So KUTGW and embrace all of your accomplishments, big or small.

I doubt that my weight loss and maintenance would have been as successful with out all my lovely JBs!

I know for a fact that when I am posting here regularly I stick to my rotations more carefully. On vacations when I can check in I do better than when I am without internet access.

I need my JBs, and I love coming here for accountability.

Hope you get to the hospital soon, and are able to have your coffee and whatever you want to eat soon, Cindy!

I had a high DD yesterday, or probably a MD. I didn't lose anything, and I'm wondering if I shouldn't just do a DD today. However, I'm sick of MWF DDs, and ready to get back to eod. Ugh, tomorrow might be much worse on the scale.

Kissa, sure hope you're had that coffee & a bite to eat by now!!

Morning everyone!!! For once, I am glad the weekend is over! It was insanely busy at my house between homecoming, games & DD's birthday. I think I could sleep the day away! (but I can't, lol)

Morning all! I love when I get a holiday off. Off to a dentist appointment then shopping with friends. It's a DD which is great since I'm pretty sure I won't be able to eat after the Dentist. Have a great day!

Even with some of my weekend DDs being MDs, my average is still 1225 calories, so wooT! I've heard mixed things on rather the average means anything or not, but it doesn't hurt for me to check it out. It's not completely accurate, I know, but it makes me feel better
