I'm back from Italy! Had the loveliest time, lots of walking, even made it to the top of Vesuvius, although it isn't a hard climb, just a steep walk really.

I have gained of course but it was all worth it. I am so enjoying a good DD and catching up on all my lovely JBs.

For instance, someone asked if they could fast completely on alternate days with just liquids, and she said no, it would be counterproductive (would get far too hungry). I offered an opinion and said to try it, and if they got too hungry they could always eat up to 500 cals (as she recommends).

She said to average what you weigh between the UD and DDs. I.e., if you weigh 148 after a DD, and 151 after a UD, your weight is 150. I guess that is about right...

Just some tidbits I took from her page...By the way, your pictures are very inspiring, Carly!

She also said that you have to eat a 500 calorie lunch on DDs and then nothing else until the next day...someone asked if they could break up their calories over the day and have something at night too. She said, she guessed that would work. I'm tempted to tell people to come to our site.

I'm not exactly doing JUDDD anymore, but the Spike Diet - I just am too active to keep low DDs so 1200 minimum (net ~700 with calorie burn, those are cardio days), plus to build muscle, you have to feed muscle. But I can still hang with you gals right?

Welcome back Kissa

You lucky pup. When I lived in England, I wanted to go to Italy and Spain.
Sorry to say that it didn't happen.

Recipes please from Italy? Where did you go? Tuscany?
How was the food?

How is London? It was the month of October when I arrived in London.
We lived in the west end in Chelsea. I loved my time there. Wish I could live
it all over again.

Katie, yes please stay and hang with us! I understand your needing more calories for your workouts.

Those creamers sound so delicious, but somehow whenever I buy any of those I miss my plain old HWC. I'll try and resist buying them....again.

Barbo, I was near Naples. it was an archeological tour of Pompeii, Herculanium and sites in the area, including a trip to the top of Vesuvius.

The food was only okay but we had it put in front of us and although I thought I wouldn't eat it all, once I started chatting I found it had magically disappeared! Funny that. It was a tough schedule with a lot of waking so not quite the "Dolce Vita".

London is enjoying a warm and gentle Autumn, the trees are only just beginning to change colour. I love the Autumn.

Thanks for sending the invite Dawn, I'll get over there now. You do look wonderful Carly.

We don't get flavoured creamers here, not a one!

I have peppermint mocha SF too. I use it on DDs, and I don't really like flavored creamers anymore. I use regular light cream most of the time on UDs. I bought the red velvet for bf.

Some of the flavors sound wonderful, but I still hesitate to buy the kind with sugar. I have to remind myself that I'm not diabetic anymore so the occasional use of some sugary creamer wouldn't be a problem.

oooh, red velvet creamer!!!! <drool> I won't do the calories, though. I drink too much coffee. LOL! I am with Carly, I use the 15 cal sf coffeemate ones. I can't find the sf peppermint mocha one out yet!!! WAAAA! I do have the sf pumpkin spice one right now, though. (UD only for me, skim milk on DDs)

Kissa, sounds absolutely delightful!!!!!!

Found the FB page last night, should have come back here for tips! It took some serious doing to find it! I thought it was interesting she says you absolutely don't have to count UD cals (let alone reduce them ever as we sometimes do here). Huh. It's great her research suggests that people won't eat more than 100-110% of their daily requirements without counting, but counting UD cals has really been helpful for me. Interesting reading, though!
