Cindy I love that! We call it the cone of shame. The cats look so mortified when they have a cone and usually got because they were doing something the shouldn't have been doing.

I could totally still eat spaghetti and drink highly caloric drinks through a nice, long straw! Thumbs! That's why this wouldn't work for me.

Come on over! Hope you are on an UD!!! Just finished up 12 of them and my semi picky son said and I quote "wow mom, the white chocolate coating really compliments the red velvet cake" (this is from an 11 year old boy!)...I personally think the chocolate coating is a bit thick and thus, dare I say overly sweet. I have until the 3rd week of December to perfect my recipe.

I don't know how to upload a picture directly from photobucket, so I just save a copy to my desktop and then insert it from there.

I've never used photo bucket. I do like Dawn does. Save the picture to my desktop or my pictures and upload from there.

If all else fails Cheri may be able to help you. She is one of the Admins.

I'm not sure what method you used, but I will tell you how I do it:

To insert a picture into a post:

Go to Photo Bucket, right click on the photo and click on Copy Image Location.

Then come here, start writing a comment, then click on the little icon above that looks like a picture of a yellow background with mountains. When the screen opens, press Ctrl and hold it down while you press V. Then press enter. That should insert the image into the comment. To see if it worked, click on Preview Post.

To insert a photo in your signature:

The easiest way to put a pic in your signature is to just upload it straight from your photo file on your computer, rather than from Photo Bucket, because the files in Photo Bucket are usually too large for the signature.

To do that, go to the edit signature screen here. Scroll down to Upload Signature Picture. Under Option 2, click Browse, find the photo on your computer and click Open. When that has been done, click on Upload, which is right below the Browse button.

After you have done that, scroll up and click your cursor in the spot in your signature you want the photo. Then scroll back down again and click on Insert Signature Picture, which is above the Browse and Upload buttons. To see if it worked, click on Preview Signature.

I hope that helps!

Good morning JBs. I was up very late last night and don't feel quite so chipper today, lol. The trouble was, I slept on and off all day yesterday after lunch, reading and resting, reading and resting...and EATING. I've begun to question whether I should start controlling carbs...tried it once since JUDDDing and it lasted about 1/2 a day. I need to stock my kitchen and refrigerator with healthy foods at least, and that might help. Bf ordered pizza yesterday, then went to the store while I was napping (the first time) and came back with candy bars and chips. There was nothing in the house but sweets and carbs and that's all I had, ALL day long. I'm so sick of working so hard on DDs to fast and then ruining it by overeating the next day. If this is maintenance, it's too much work lol.

Cindy, is is possible to substitute the type of junk food you have in your house? I honestly don't really know how to help you out on this one.

Yesterday I went bridesmaid dress shopping and out of the 11 weddings that I've been in this is the first one that I expect to be smaller once the address arrives. So my dilemma is that I really don't want to pay an extra $50 for a plus size when I could get one size lower which is a 16 and regular price. I'm going to end up needing altercations and the wedding is in seven months. If I haven't lost weight in seven months I'll be pretty annoyed with myself. What do you all think I should do?

I hate bridesmaid dress shopping! Is it possible to hold off on ordering the dress? I mean seriously, who needs a dress 7 months ahead of time except maybe the bride. I ordered mine for my sister's wedding and got it in 3 weeks!

I agree with Kismet, Lisa. I wouldn't order it this soon. I would think 2 months ahead would be plenty of time. Is there a danger of selling out of that particular dress?

As for my junk-food dilemma, I wasn't really asking for advice, but commiserating lol. I needed to confess. I know the solution is just not to eat that stuff, but neither of us felt like grocery shopping yesterday and the only delivery we have in this small town is pizza delivery. As the saying goes, fail to plan, plan to fail.

I would ask if you can wait to order the dress sometime in February! My bridesmaids ordered their dresses in December and my wedding was in April and it was fine. It seems like the dress stores want you to rush and buy a dress so you won't change your mind and go anywhere else (I really detest David's Bridal!!).

I completely agree about ordering the dress so early. The Bride will change her mind about our dresses at least five more times. At the same time she might surprise me and want us to order early. I've been in weddings where the Bride waited until the last minute after much prodding from her maids and we ended up scrambling to come up with payment. I'll try to see if I can hold off a month or so on ordering the dress.

For me, it was just frustrating to get measured for a dress when my body is changing and having to be scolded by some judgmental saleswoman who has no clue the effort I've put into losing weight. Sorry rant over.

Hi everyone!! Been MIA for a bit, trying to get 4:3 eating down, still at goal as of this morning...YAY!! I am doing MWF DDs and TTSS UDs, and it seems to be working well for me so far. I love October, because we go on a family holiday at Canadian Thanksgiving....usually to Cayman. We leave on Thursday this week and are gone for a whole 9 days This morning I tried on my size 6 shorts and they fit but were a bit snug...but I feel great knowing even three months ago they would not have gone on...

Have a great day ladies!!!!!!

Kim

Lisa, I'd wait on ordering the dress...just my two cents. You ARE going to be smaller, and why would you want to alter it... Save the money for some cute shoes to go with the dress

Lisa, I say wait on ordering the dress. 7 months is a long way a way. You know you will be smaller. If you absolutely must order it now don't get the plus size if you think it's feasible to fit in a not plus sized version.

I agree Lisa. It's way too early to order, especially if you'll pay extra and it won't even fit. You could be 50 pounds lighter by the wedding. If the bride insists on early ordering, just remind her what you're doing and how much you may (WILL) change in the meantime.
