LB - I always hate when people are going through that sort of stuff, and I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker (((hugs)))

I'm really glad you posted it though because I am going through some relationship garbage and really trying to not let my emotions derail me, at this point not into over eating, but into not eating enough.

Thank you for your support everyone!
It's been a cruddy week indeed, but I'm trying to power through. The theme of the pass two years has been to work on myself after a long time of trying to "fix" other people.

I'm sure I'll be ok. I work in HR so the death of a co-worker means a lot of paper work and conversating with the family and the funeral home, and it's just a drain. She had an 18 year old son and a new grand baby too

Oh LB, what a hard time you are having. Keep smiling through.

Sonica, I just noticed your amazing loss too. Congratulations.

I on the other hand have a great few days with my DD1 and her DH, who both have learning difficulties. But it didn't help the scale.

My sister and her DH arrive tomorrow for 8 days and DD2, the lovely Vicky, (MintQ8) and her DH arrive for 3 weeks on Friday. I love it all and Vicky will keep me on the straight and narrow.

Sonica - almost at 100 pounds lost! Wow! I'm sure sorry you're having stresses and situations right now. Hang in there!

Cindy/Kissa, you are just one popular, entertaining diva, aren't you? What a lovely life you have! I'm glad you and Vicky will have another visit - never enough with moms and their girls.

Ha, ha, I don't know about "popular entertaining Diva", but I do have a truly blessed life.

Only complaint is that I was given the survival genes to excess. When the famine comes, we will be the survivors.

We were watching 'The Biggest Loser' last night. When this first came out, it was one of our favorite shows. Then we had a four-year TV break, so this is the first time I have seen it in a while.

I guess my perspective on what is a good way to lose weight (now that I do primal low-carb JUDDDing) has really changed. I'm cringing as I watch it.

The format also seems different.

Don't know if I will enjoy this show any more. Though I will keep watching this season, because you get interested in the people's stories.

How are they doing it, Sirtain? I haven't seen it in a long time either (years). Seems like they used to do 1000 calorie days or lower? And, for the drama, there was always high calorie/high carb foods available to tempt them. In addition to the low calorie consumption, they had to do boot-type camp training...Are they still doing it the same way, or worse?

They seem to still be doing very low-calorie, very low-fat as their food philosophy. And all-day boot camp workouts for the physical part. But I remember there being more 'instructional' bits: showing how to cook or assemble the 'right' snacks, explanations of muscle-building. Also, more team work. So far the big focus seems to be on the emotional parts of it, and the weigh-ins.
I haven't seen temptations at the ranch, but from the teaser, it looks like next week there will be a Halloween temptation.

I am DVRing this season for the first time ever. I haven't watched any of this new season, as I'm catching up on old seasons on Hulu. I watch it while I exercise in the mornings, and somehow it motivates me to push and keep going. That said, I don't agree with their extreme philosophy, and things I've read online about what really happens is pretty unsavory.

I also started watching Extreme Weight Loss with Chris Powell, which I like better, but I have the feeling is pretty much the same philosophy. Brutal workouts all day every day, very very low calories every day, extremely fast losses that are probably not too healthy for the body.

You are all brave women.

Proud to be a part of women who struggle but don't give up.

About the "wattle" word. You can have a lift from the inside.
My friend had it and looks very natural. Ask around about this procedure.
I totally understand about keloiding...I had a face lift at age 56 and am
so happy that I had it done. You can have a fresh up now with all of the
new therapy's without having a face lift.

losing a co-worker or friend is very difficult emotionally.
Your part in consoling and working with the family will probably
be a draining experience. However, you are a light in a dark tunnel
to them, so cheer up, you are doing someone a world of good.

I am losing another friend to cancer. The 'specialists' told her that
now, radiation is her only option. She does not want to go there.
Prayer is all we who love her have left and of course our support.

Well gotta get on the stick. Have errands and Christmas presents to make.
All have a great day. I'll be back.

That's so hard about your friend Barbo

Thanks ladies for noticing the almost 100lbs, it's funny, but I'm not excited about it because I've been there before, last year got as low at 171 and bounced back up, so it's cool, but not as thrilling as the first time I passed that milestone lol.

I know, I know I should just celebrate the heck out of reaching it again
