Okay, WHO was moaning about not being able to eat enough calories while eating LC?! I have had some cheese cubes and coffee and am at nearly 500. I thought I might be able to have some yogurt and strawberries before lunch lol. I can't imagine not being able to get up to 2000 even! Good Lord, I need to do low calorie and low carb.

Please don't restrict yourself any more than what you're doing, ok? You don't want to get resentful and throw the towel in...you want this to WORK!!! Enjoy your LC goodies!!! I never counted calories on LC and I lost just fine. You will be fine!!!! Ease on in baby!

Yes, I think I'll just hold off on counting calories for now lol. I had 2 cups of coffee with 2 T of cream each and a.s. (180), then 8 cubes of cheese about the size of doll house dice, and read the calories--110 for 3! So, at 474 before eating my plain Greek yogurt. Anyway, I think I'll stop counting and just continue making healthy choices.

I counted calories on my Down Days when I was beginning, so I would know what 500 calories looked like. But I NEVER count calories on my Up Days. Isn't that supposed to be one of the benefits of low-carb/primal?!?

Have you lost well not counting UDs with LC? I am counting, but not keeping to the numbers. Let's just say, I'm close to the limit and have not snacked, had a small lunch and I'm hungry.

I have lost really well, Cindy. I'm down 30 pounds in the 7 months I have been JUDDDing, from 202 -> 172 on the way to 154 (I'm 5'8" and 49 years old). I've had some plateaus, but only of the self-inflicted variety.

Here's what I had on my last Up Day:

2/3 lb turkey fried in butter
bowl of yogurt with extra cream added and about 1/2C black berries
big bowl of shrimp cooked in butter
small bowl of olives
handful of walnuts
large serving of rabbit with prunes and cream, served over
small potato and half a sweet potato with lots of butter
bowl of strawberries with coconut sugar
handful of prunes

I don't consider that day restrained, or over the top, just about normal. I wouldn't be opposed to knowing how many calories I eat on an Up Day, I just don't want to do the work of looking it up, entering it, etc. Nor do I want to think about hitting a certain number, or staying below it. I just want to roam free, baby!

Had no problems fasting today after being so sick
That's nto bad news though I guess - I'll be on regular rotations throughout - I weighed in at 187 Monday morning, but that was post being ill, so I'm sure I've shot up a pound or two, maybe even three - I'm too afraid to look. I know my body has to repair itself, and I can tell I'm retaining water (few bathroom trips, but multiple bottles of water) I hope everything evens out by weigh in on Sunday morning!

Cindy, good luck. I get so resentful having to watch carbs, so I'm cheering from the sidelines!

Okay, I posted a big long post in the playground and a tiny one on my calorie counting site, but I'm just bursting with pride and have to share. Oh and it will most likely make an appearance on FB sometime tonight, too, so scroll past it if you're sick of hearing about my awesome child.

As many of you know, my daughter is obsessive/compulsive (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree), but very bright and a really good kid. She was recruited for the gifted school for 2nd grade, but we didn't want to move her from the IB school she was attending. They recruited again for 3rd grade, and we let Keira decide if she wanted to change schools. She said that she wanted to try out the new school and see how she likes it. With her OCD and dislike of change, I was a bit worried about how she'd adjust, especially given the fact that she's dealing with hormonal changes right now too (early puberty for those who missed it--ugh!). We had our first parent/teacher conference last night and got her report card. Little Miss got Straight As (high honor roll) and outstandings in every category except for "pays attention" where she got satisfactory. This school is ranked among the top schools in California. Her teacher said she's a joy to have in class and that she's "very, very bright!"

I've only lost 25 lbs in 11 months, eating all the carbs in the world. I think your menu sounds divine, and I hope to continue enjoying LC myself while losing these stubborn pounds! Thanks for sharing.

I don't like watching carbs either, Dawn. However, this time I'm not counting carbs. The only thing I'm really avoiding is sugar. That's hard enough, lol. I don't eat bread often, and I'm not a fan of sandwiches, so that won't be a problem. I intend to eat potatoes and rice whenever I want, and I only eat rice a few times a year. It should be easy, and I'm only giving up the one thing that has no redeeming nutritional value. I'll still have Wendy's chili!

I don't blame you for bragging! That is so wonderful, and I love that she *chose* to change schools and has adapted so incredibly well.

Quick fly by to say we are here in Florida and enjoyed the beach today. It is raining now, but we are ready to turn in. I've been up since 3:15am.

Dawn- brag away! You, DH and Kiera deserve to be proud.

Cindy hope your first day or reduced sugar went well.

Lisa we will be back before you know it. I peeked at my work e-mail today and had 155 new e-mails, read 3 and then promptly signed off!

We did loads of walking on the beach and looking for shells- I know I will sleep well tonight.

Thanks Cindy... Our anniversary is in May, but I'll save your well wishes for next year

Breakfast isn't my thing, but coffee- oh yes! We have a full kitchen here so I'm ready with some half and half and some flavored coffee we picked up down here. With that, I am going to turn in. Night lovely JBs.
