Yes, but go to Dr. Johnson's site and get your actual UD number. Without the exercise calories added in you want to ensure you hit this number. Whatever it may be.

His calculator says 310 DD and 1518 UD..
I used the 20 percent, should of used a different one?

That's right, Brendajm. That's the calculations I got for you too. Of course, you can stick to 500 for two weeks (or more) on your DDs, but 1518 should be easier for you on UDs.

That sounds right and yes, most of us use 20% for weight loss, but the 20-60% is just for DDs your UD is not effected by the percentage you use for WLM.

That's fantastic, Actionsmash. You should tell the newer newbies how your month went. I found things that seemed insurmountable at the beginning to be no big deal after a month or so. How did it all go for you?

You might want to try some lean meat for dinner too, and some veggies that are dense and low calorie, like squash or cabbage. Fruit would leave me extra hungry too. Just an idea, and congrats on getting through your first DD!

I just returned from 10 days in Disney World...we had a lovely vacation and I was careful to never overeat. However, I did eat and made a point to try new foods and my attempt to be 'normal' about eating (not indulgent, not guilty) was successful. I thought my weight would maintain because we walked and walked, and a few days were on our feet 12+ hours a day, but I was horrified to come home to a four pound weight gain. Argh. One pound down already and today is my first DD since returning. I'm trying to look at it as a little bump in the road because otherwise it was a wonderful family vacation.

Now back to work for me on getting lighter and leaner!

Caroline

Please don't worry about this 4# thing!!! In my experience, 2 rotations and you will be back to your low! Juddd is incredible for vacations...and life in general.

Welcome new peeps!!!!

I like Quest protein bars. They are 160-200 calories but all have 20+ grams of protein, and they're good!

I gained 8-9 pounds over ONE WEEKEND a couple of weeks back (Disneyland and Universal Studios). It came off after two rotations. No worries with JUDDD!

Congratulations! You've made it through Day 1, which can be one of the hardest. And 2 pounds is great! Personally, those sweet protein bars tend to make me hungrier and crave more sweet, but we're all different.

Great attitude Caroline, and don't forget that a good portion of the extra weight may be water weight due to the increased salt and exercise/standing. It'll go away quickly.

The fruit looks to have been around 200 calories. Is that right? You could easily have a chicken breast and a huge plate of cabbage for that amount, and would probably feel fuller. Most of the protein bars I've eaten are sweet and lead me to crave more, but everyone's different.

Thanks for all the comments. Today is a dd, well about the end of one. Zoodles have been my saviour since I've started JUDDD love love love them, especially with Philedephia cream for cooking Thai green curry. I've even learnt to like black coffee which I drink through the mornings along with heaps if water.

Picked up my bridesmaid dress which was ordered end of July today and it now is too big and will need to be altered I was surprised

Good morning ladies! Today is my official day 1 with you all and an UP day. Thought I was starting a week ago but had a minor set back and needed to do some correcting as I am coming off of HCG and using JUDDD for my phase 3 maintenance and to loose a few extra pounds. Very happy to be here and a little scared too!

JUDDD worked very well for me in the spring so I am hopeful it will again! My biggest challenge before was I ended up having too many mid days with social stuff. Lets hope I can control that a bit more this time around. The big difference for me now is that I am lighter than I was before, so my calories have changed quite a bit! 1367 for my UP days. The DD were the shocking part and I probably will not try to go crazy with a 20% weight loss number as I am only trying to loose a few more pounds and maintain. I will start around 400-500 depending on my weight moss mode and see how I do. Coming off of hcg, I have that menu down to a science

Have a great day and Happy Wednesday!
