Down Day Wednesday Plans
I'm going to be doing water, tea, and kombucha today, with a protein shake right before I head to the gym, and a green smoothie before bed if I feel like I MUST have something.
How about y'all?
20oz of coffee with SF creamer= 60 (sipping it all morning!)
More coffee if needed.
Bedtime snack- TBA

Do tell, this Green Smoothie...what all is in it? I have been hearing more and more about getting veggies in through smoothies. Do you add protein? Or is it just sweet? Not sure I could stomach it. I am sure it is all in my mind. ;)
Here are my options:
2 eggs/cottage cheese 180c
cottage cheese/tomato (our tomato plants are still producing, we have TONS) 65c
deli ham 50c
cherry tomato/cauli/snap pea/pepper salad 100c
I have a protein shake if needed 180c
Tonight is a busy night. Hair cut/color and church stuff for both kids. I know we have baked potatoes. I will probably just warm one of those. 175c
Goal around 500c
Green Smoothie is my generic term for a mostly vegetable drink.
I put four vegetables and one fruit in my Vita-Mix, and let 'er rip. Cucumber, spinach, banana, carrot, and broccoli is a common combination, since we usually have all those on hand as staples.
Enough water to make it drinkable, and a teaspoon of diatomaceous(why is that always so hard to spell!?) earth.
Plus enough stevia or blackstrap molasses to make it palatable. Some vegetables need more than others. :) My Honey and I split it, so the calories are 100-150.
My plan for today is water, tea and more tea until the evening. And than a protein shake (thickened with a bit of Glucomannan) for "dinner". We will see whether this plan really works... :)

S: 2 thin slices of ham, 10 baby carrots, 2 celery sticks, 1 laughing cow wedge, coffee
D: Grilled chicken on a spring mix salad with some dried cranberries

L-possibly cottage cheese & red pear - 160-(might have this tonight after dinner)
D-angel hair coleslaw, turkey sausage, onion, LC cheese - 150
DD of 400 max. Sticking with what works best for me now.
10:00 Coffee, Quest Protein Bar
2:00 Pumpkin Whey Protein Shake
6:00 Diet Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa & 1 tsp. Coconut Oil
Monkeypenny- have you done many liquid/total fast on your Down days? I find I really enjoy them, which was a surprise to me. Though, it did take me a while to get there.

Well, I was *less* sick this morning than yesterday, though on top of things, I woke up with a migraine starting (so I took a handful of advil and went back to bed...).
I'm also down 3 lbs :)
Here's today so far, and likely more of the same as yesterday (BRAT) till I'm back to 100%
B: a few sips of G2 sf Gatorade
L: 1 can of light cambell's chicken soup-- 160
2 rice crackers - 20
1 slice rye bread - ?
D: maybe rice, applesauce, banana, more rice crackers... :rolleyes:
B - coffee with HWC, 1/2 pork sausage patty
L - 8 baby carrots ( was running errands 60 miles from home so I bought a bag of carrots)
D - HB patty, pickle slices, iceberg lettuce and ketchup
That's all folks.
No, not many, I've done just a few liquid fasts on my DownDay. But this few tries went very well (easier than "normal" DDs), so I might do this more often.
I could not do it every DD, because I really like to eat, chew and chomp. :o But I think about making every second DD a "liquid" DD. This could work for me. We'll see. :)
