Studies RE: JUDD/Intermittent Fasting/SIRT1?

Hello,

I just started the intermittent fasting thing (in addition to eating a ketogenic diet) after having read the articles on Marks Daily Apple RE: IF. Interestingly, JUDDD wasn't mentioned in the main article, but was mentioned in one of the other IF blogs (either leangains or eat stop eat).

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to the latest study(ies) regarding how to increase one's SIRT1/Sirtuin 1 activity and the benefits thereof. The studies could be either based on a JUDDD protocol or some other Intermittent Fasting method.

Thanks in advance.

:)

These studies/articles are great! Thanks. I always like to compile as much info as I can before I start trying something.

The more articles/studies the better. :)

By the way in scientific terms JUDDD is modified alternate day fasting. And here
is one about it and chlosterol. And if you haven't learned about this LDL chlosterol
can be bad but as the particle size increases it becomes less harmful so the increse
in particle size mentioned in this study means it has become less harmful.

There is an excelent vidio online Eat Fast and Live Longer by Michael Mosley. But
in this one I didn't notice as much talk about Sirt1 as I did the health benifits
of it reducing our insulin like growth factor hormone. Sorry you will have to do
a google to hunt that vidio up. It is still online but some of the links to it will say
it's been removed so if this hapens try another link.

Now I did read one study using mice that was realy interesting. They had a controle
group and 2 experimental groups. The first expermintal group fed every other day
lived about 40% longer than the controles. Heck lots of other studies showed this
big deal. But the other experimental group was only fed every 3rd day. they experienced
a 65% increse in life span wow 65%. But I bet these mice didn't enjoy this one bit!
Now I wish I had bookmarked that study but I didn't and can't find it again.
