Halloween Challenge!

Hi guys! I figured I'd kick this thread off since the Labor Day challenge is officially over. Congrats to everyone for the weight and inches lost! Now it's onwards and downwards!

My goal for this challenge is to hit 190 pounds or less.

Let's do this!

calichris 09-03-2013 07:40 AM

That's about 8 weeks, so ... I'd like to be in the 180s by then. And have size 14s fit well or be loose!

elphie124 09-03-2013 07:45 AM

My goal is to be successfully maintaining by then! :jumpjoy:

I still don't know what my goal weight is. I'll know when I get there, I guess? :dunno:

Silverrain 09-03-2013 08:08 AM

I'm in!! I want to be at 187 or less by Halloween. Not sure why I picked that weight, but that's what I'm going with! Good luck to everyone!! :)

SlimNana 09-03-2013 09:14 AM

I will be successfully maintaining. :aprayer:

My goal weight range is 135-138 lbs. With 20% BF max. & 112 lbs. LBM min. Size 6

WOE is IF 16/8 & 4:3 (S-1200/MWF-800/TTS-1600)

:workout::eggs::up:

Best Wishes on all of your continued progress JBs! :high5: ~ Ann

jacquelinejolie 09-03-2013 09:45 AM

Goal is to weigh 158.4 and BF below 28%.

On the clothes side, would like to comfortably fit back into this really cute suit I bought before my last work assignment last January. Size 8 jacket, 10 pants/skirt. I could only wear it for a month or two before work got crazy and I ate my weight in potato chips and ate my way out of the suit. It goes on now (sometimes I try stored/boxed clothes on, I think it burns extra calories), but I couldn't be seen in public in it.

Goner 09-03-2013 10:00 AM

I'm ready for a new challenge, since I bombed at the last one.

I want to see 156 on the scale and into some size 10s comfortably - this will be achieved by EXERCISING! It's doable. :aprayer:

LoCarbGal 09-03-2013 10:10 AM

I will be comfortably wearing my size 14 Levis by Halloween.

Planelman 09-03-2013 01:52 PM

My goal is to get to 190 and be maintaining at that weight and have a BF% below 15%.

TryingJudd 09-03-2013 01:58 PM

My goal is to be back to my May low of 172 ( or less!)

Librarygirl 09-03-2013 08:29 PM

I'd love to get to 165! I said I wouldn't do another challenge, lol. I didn't make the Labor Day challenge, but came with 4(ish) lbs. :D I wore one of my size 14 jeans today and I think they looked really good on me. That was a Memorial Day challenge, I think! At least I hit my goals a month or two later. ;)

LiLi914 09-03-2013 08:38 PM

So I'm thinking that I want to be in a size 16 pant comfortably by Halloween. I recently purchased 16w and they are perfect as the size 18's are a little too baggy.

I gave in to my old binge behavior about a year ago, regained 45 lbs and have
been struggling ever sense. My beinge behavior just hapens when I eat when I
read. Yesterday was my seventh day without eating when I read and already it's
getting a little easier not to eat when I read. I haven't goten back into JUDDD yet
my primary goal last week was just stop the bingeing which I have and even lost
a pound or 2. But for Halloween goals. Remain bienge free, get back to JUDDD and
get below 295 lbs. Darn I sure would like to see the scale read 299 or less it just
sounds so much better to be able to say I am in the high 200's rather than the low
300's....

Don't want to thread hijack, but I can't recommend the book "Brain over Binge" enough. It's a game changer!

Anonymousity 09-04-2013 09:19 PM

My goal is 159 for a 10 pound loss.

Sirtain 09-05-2013 09:57 AM

I was 174.5 on Labor Day, so my goal for Halloween is 166. That will also be 3/4 of the way to my first Big Goal (202 -> 154).

I'm sorry you are struggling, and although I don't have binge tendencies one thing I found for eating while reading is - I've switched to audiobooks, asked my kids to get birthday gift of a cheap MP3 player to download free books from my local library, so minimal expense... anyway, I can now "read" while I do other things - vacuum, dishes, knit, even do Suduko. I am so busy with two activities at the same time that my brain doesn't think about food. ;)

KeirasMom 09-06-2013 10:09 AM

I want to have a Halloween goal, but I can't think of one I'll be able to stick with. I would like to whittle away some of my "waist" while maintaining my weight, but I'm still recovering from a back injury and am not sure how hard I can go at it. :annoyed: I guess I'll make my realistic goal to maintain my weight, and my "I-sure-hope-I-can-do-it" goal to lose 2" from my waist.

LoCarbGal 09-06-2013 10:31 AM

Dawn, have you tried Callanetics? You could focus on the exercises that just work the waist area. She is all about protecting the back, as she had scoliosis and back problems herself. I haven't done the entire 1 hour workout in some time, but I do do some moves when I just want to work on one area. This is one I do sometimes:

And of course, you know what I'm going to say about the hula hoop. Truly, I swear by it!

KeirasMom 09-06-2013 11:47 AM

I haven't tried Callanetics yet, but I keep hearing good things about it. And my hula hoop is sending me evil looks every day. ;) I should really try these things.

Hope everybody is doing great a week into the challenge! Today is my 2 month mark with JUDDD and I'm 17.8 pounds down.

I've decided that even though I'm losing well without counting calories at all, I'm going to kick things up a notch and count my calories from now on. I also recalculated my JUDD numbers and will stick to those for both UD's and DD's.

:aprayer: for me because I've NEVER counted calories before in my life. I've put an app on my phone that tracks everything. I'll see how it goes at the end of the first week. This should be interesting.

LoCarbGal 09-09-2013 09:12 AM

Oh Fluff, you're soooooo close to Onederland!

Librarygirl 09-09-2013 09:19 AM

I want to add a Halloween (and on-going) goal: Weights workout 2-3x a week. I plan to move my bench indoors today, and I have 10, 5, and 3 lb weights already (and I think a pair of 8 lb weights). Kind of excited to get started!

Yay Librarygirl! I'm glad to hear you're breaking out the old workout gear. You'll feel SO much better after the first week into it. Believe me. You'll be jumping out of bed to work out. :D

Librarygirl 09-09-2013 01:21 PM

That's pushing it, Fluffy. :D

I want to add to my goal...

While weight loss is important, I want to focus on sticking to my rotations, staying within calorie limits, and adjusting to my new gluten free diet.

If I can do these, I will be successful regardless of weight loss. After a 17 pound loss in August, I think my body may be taking time to adjust, so the "pause" is ok for now.

Wow! You lost 17 pounds in August? That's amazing. I've lost about that in the past 2 months. Goes to show how different everyone's body is. You're doing great! Keep it up!

angie1 09-12-2013 06:54 AM

My goal for Halloween is to lose 15 lbs and be at 168!

Henush 09-15-2013 04:53 PM

My goal is to weigh 200 by Halloween. ;)
